Hii... Uh this is Khushi.. First time coming out. Usually I'd just be silent stalker and look at pix 😳 I was thinking of making siggies on Krishna and Radha (teen ones). Can someone help me find the post where some are posted? I looked at the pages and I know I've seen many before.. Just can't find it... Thanks!

If one goes through the page that one has to navigate while coming to this forum (assuming it's not bookmarked), one will notice that unlike the channels, like ABC or Fox TV, it doesn't have any picture, since no such channel exists.

So my suggestion - why not have a contest of a picture that would be representative of this channel? Yeah, we have the banner for this forum, but this one would be simpler, and simply be indicative of a page where mythology is discussed. Choose the symbology most representative of Hindu mythology, and put it to a vote here.

On another note, is it possible to talk to the mods to have Mythological Masti be listed on the home page itself - maybe in the popular section, like Sports/Cricket, Food, etc? B'cos this certainly doesn't fall in the international category in the way ABC, Disney, Fox et al do.

That sounds like a fun idea Vrish... I personally can't think of many symbols other than om and swastik, but I'm sure that members will come up with creative ways of putting them together even in that small space.

Saving money to purchase DVDs for all my fav shows..
@ Does anyone know whether Chandrakanta has been released on DVDs? Even serials from 90s who were just average have been released. But no sign of Chandrakanta..?

Does anyone remember Gita Rahasya aired on DD immediately after termination of Shri Krishna? I really loved that serial. It was directed and enacted by Nithish Bharadwaj. I liked the way he approached the theme, portrayal of characters etc. In fact, it was a non linear presentation..almost a new gen serial of those days. 😆 The events weren't shown chronologically. Kamsa was played by Irfan Khan. However, one fine day it was stopped suddenly. Have heard many stories like problems with DD, lack of viewership etc. But I remember reading in newspapers that the serial will be stopped from next week as Nithish Bharadwaj was competing in the 1998 elections and being a godman onscreen would influence and make the common men prejudiced on their votes..😔 That day I asked my mother.."Why should he stop the serial..?? He could have withdrawn himself from the elections"😆

Two things:

We're getting to that time of the year again, so can you unglue Durga Puja Celebrations!! Joy Ma Durga!? Or is there gonna be a new thread this year? Will it be a GA?
I've noticed the trishul symbol being used for not just Mahadev relevant threads, but also for Ramayan as well. Can I suggest this:

For threads about Mahadev, Durga, Parvati, Kartikeya, Ganesh, Mahakali, et al, use \|/ to mark special threads about them
For threads about Ramayan or Mahabharata, use a bow arrow symbol instead of the trishul. Something like {> Ananda Sagar Ramayan <} or {| Arjun's war w/ Karna |} or <{-> Krishna's messages <-}> The last admittedly eats up 8 characters in an already limited headline space, but it would seem that the other 2 should work?

Either of the above bow-arrow symbols seems more appropriate than trishul to represent Ramayan. Sorry for being this anal, but a trishul for Ramayans look weird

Can the moderators please change the name of this forum? Hinduism is not a myth please.

Or maybe include lord of the rings on this forum too, as it said, history became legend, legend became myth.

and if god is a myth, then ok no problem 😊

I had posted this confusion of mine in another stickie, did not notice this thread. Then made a new post on it so that those supporting 'mythology' could help me
