Good he spoke up...one film doesn’t get nominated n people call hurt n pained, but mocking an actor over n over under the garb of learn to take a joke is okay...learn to accept you failed as well and stop making hurt calls if you don’t get one award...

Film producers, directors and actors always lobby for an award. The person who performs on stage generally gets one.

If you skip award ceremony, the award will skip you.

Its all about advertisement revenues specially in filmfare, zee cine awards and IIFA.

Most of the old IF members know about it.

This is a story so that people outside IF also knows about this as well.

If you let one get away with it the others know it too and will do the same. Today that’s exactly the reason why big stae don’t come because of ego issues and you can’t please anyone. Only those who really value it are outsider / lesser star.

He is a centrist and mostly left leaning journalist so people saying only right wing journos like Arnab and Kangana with Swamy are making noise about it should finally stfu. This topic has no ideological leaning, if you don't know bhai and kjo do bootlicking of whoever is in power. Sallu to get away with his criminal charges and kjo to get some brownie points.

And now on the topic. Shame on these idiots, imagine thinking MNIK holds a chance against Udaan. SRK does lobbying sabke peechese, doesn't he? My apology for butting in. But a bollywood actor talking about it is completely different than a journalist who is followed by mostly general public who have no interest in bollywood whatsoever or are following him only for politics and current affairs make a huge difference. The audience for both are different. Even non filmy people have learnt the about dirty pr tacticse and blind items cause of sush's death which used to be discussed only in small forums. What he writes carries more weightage than what spotboy/pinkvilla/if people post on small forums.

Why is this not surprising? Bollywood will never get any respect till it stops arm twisting and buying awards..petulent kids.. I wish someone makes a new award where no performances are req and only nominees or award winners come to collect them..I think Anupama and Rajeev srarted one..where few deserving ones were given awards..

Glad that atleast Aamir had the guts to boycott this circus. These award shows have long lost all their credibility. And now, actors like Alia are winning over Vidya and Ranveer winning over Shahid and talentless ones like Jhanvi and Ananya even winning awards is a big joke.

See how easily they all threaten to boycott others, I hope people do the same to them, boycott their movies to teach them a lesson.
