That trade act didn't just help southern states to grow but Maharashtra, Gujarat, and other parts too.

I don't have issue with funds going to east. Still, that still doesn't explain Hindi imposition, except for the fact that Hindi has become the language of Bihar and Jharkhand, which is supposed to be imposed on the south, too. (I do have problem with South having to beg for drought relief and also UP obviously didn't waive its farmers loans without assurance from centre, because national banks wouldn't do so for just states.)

Language n cultural difference is the only.main factor I guess.!!!

Yeah, see the state of Awadhi, Bhojpuri, Rajasthani and how they are encompassed to as dialects of a younger language, Hindi.

No idea about trade act. Since I am a Bengali I will blame CPM policies for what happened to WB. They never supported the promoters and investors interests and always supported workers. That helped them stay in power for three decades but killed jobs for generations in Bengal. Mamta isnt much better that way though she is trying half heartedly now as was Buddhadeb Bhattacharya. Bengal is pulled down by the laziness of Bengalis in Bengal.
