Chapter 2: Upside Down
BAAANG!!!
Anjali and shyam flinched.
Anjali: Hey bhagwan! Chotey ne phire se kuch laya hai uske liye lagta hai (Oh god, again chotey has got something for her it looks like)
Shyam and anjali saw khushi angrily coming out from arnav's room and walking towards her room.
Anjali to readers Umm! Waise to yeh log jharte nahi par when it comes to some gift khushi goes mad. She never liked arnav giving her gifts (its wierd, as all girls like gifts except khushi...no no not that she doesnt like receiving gifts but she doesnot like we giving her gifts. Mujhe to woh kuch keh nahi sakti but arnav, she goes mad at him) chalo dekhe hai kya hota hai. To kahan the hum? umm ok
khushi angrily coming out from arnav's room and walking towards her room.
Anjali turned bach thining her lips nodding her head. Now its time for chotey to come out of his room and pacify her.
Arnav came running behind her: Khushi! listen yaar
Khushi: Get lost Arnav
Arnav: Moti aise mat kar
Khushi: Arnav, i will hit you hard if you come behind me.
Arnav: Chup kar yaar big deal.
Khushi slammed the door behind her.

After sometime he came out of her room and came down to sit with his jijaji and di.
He placed his head on the table and exhaled.
anjali ruffled his hair and said: Jab usko pasand nahi hai to kyun deta hai?
Arnav: Di, it was my fault, i broke her phone yesterday. It was her favourite phone. I didnot get the same model, pata nahi why doesnt she change her antic piece.
anjali: So you must have ended up buying some expensive phone for her right?
Arnav: Di, she didnt take anything from me on her bday so i thought i will gift her one iphone, i know how much she was eager to buy it. and today when i gave her she is mad at me. Di, why she keeps on reminding us her orphan things? I really hate it. Shashi uncle was equally part of AR. without his hard work and support Dad wouldnot have established our company.
Anjali: Ya i too agree. but you know khushi. Despite of having joint a/c with me she never takes anything from that. I have told her so many times but she wished to take tutions and earn. Thankfully she didnot say no to the property which i gifted her. But convincing her was a hell of a task. I had to remind her of the adoption papers that i am her mother and i have full right to give her security. but khushi being khushi she accpeted in one condition that after her death the property will go to Ayush.
Arnav: di, this is not done ok? If i want to give her something she have to take it. He was about to get up but anjali held his hand.
Anjali: chotey dont go now. give her sometime.
Arnav: Di, i cant stay away from her like this. I dont like when she fights with me.
Anjali to herself (chotey if you cant stay away from her then keep her with you always)
Arnav: di, i am just going.
Anjali: No chotey not now.
Arnav made a grumpy face and rushed to his room and locked it.

It was evening, his mind was on khushi. whole day she didnot come to meet him. He dialed her number in the intercom but it went un-answered.
Arnav pouted: Moti, please pick up the phone. He made a sad face.
********
It was dinner time when he saw her coming down to the dining table. Her eyes swelled. He knew she was crying. She avoided looking at him.
She went straight to the kitchen to get her food.
(Yes nobody heated her food when she was angry. it was her order. She never had if someone else heated her food. She preffered to do her things by herself when she was angry)
(you must be wondering why she cried? is it remembering her parents? No it was for arnav. even she couldont stay away from him for much time. she felt suffocated when she is not around him pulling his legs, laughing out load, cracking crazy jokes and most importantly smuggling in his chest time to time. he was her home)
Arnav came to the kitchen and held her from behind, hugging her from the waist.
Arnav: Aye moti! Abhi tak naraz hai?
Khushi: go away arnav, i am not talking to you.
Arnav: Oye meri grumpy doll, aisa mat kar
Khushi jerked his hand and moved away.
Arnav: Enough yaar.
Khushi: You should have thoguht about it before you bought this for me.
Arnav: Fine you dont have to accept it.
with that he took the phone from her.
Arnav turned back: I am hurt khushi! I bought it from the piggy bank that we always stored money for us ok. If you remember we didnt go to any restaurant for last 3 months. and if you remember it was a deal that the money collected her would be ours and we can do whatever we want to without any explanation.
(As khushi was very fussy about money both of them planned to drop equal amount of money in their piggy bank and whenever they go out or decide to chill they took money from there and enjoyed)
Arnav: You dont want any gift from me, fine, i will make sure i dont gift you anything in near future.
Khushi felt a little sad. she knows she has neglected him a bit more than usual.

It was a silent dinner. The only good thing was while going up she took the phone which arnav kept beside him on the dining table.
Arnav smiled, so did anjali and shyam.
Arnav: thanks jijz, if you were not there i wouldnt be able to convince her on this. thanks for the idea.
Shyam: anytime sale sahad. Now go and take out the money from the piggy back as soon as possible before she sees it.

It was morning.
Arnav felt a sharp pain in his head. He woke up searching his coffee but he saw his side table empty.
Arnav: WHAT THE!!! KHUSHI!!! KHUSHI!!!
Anjali and shyam sitting on the breakfast table: Lo chalu hogaya in dono ka phir se.
Arnav rubbed his eyes and dropped himself on the bed. finally gathered some energy and walked towards her room.
Khushi was just up. she was in her inners, sliding her t-shirt when arnav barged in.
Khushi flinched.
Arnav could see her thought the mirror
Khushi: Kabhi to knock karke aya karo
Arnav: Kyun? Kya change huya hai tera? jo meine nahi dekha hai.
Khushi: Shut up arnav.
Arnav: Nice bra, but i think you should wear black more ofter. i looks good on your skin.
Khushi: Arnav stop it.
Arnav: Dude i am helping you to seduce other men. I know what they will like.
Khushi: Stop fantasizing about me.
Arnav closed the gap and held her from the waist resting his head on her shoulder: that i used to do it during teens.
Khushi: Shameless!!!
Arnav: Khushi! tu bhi karti thi ok?
Khushi: I was just curious arnav. But you bloody sh*gged thinking about me.
Arnav: No until you kissed me on my lips
Khushi: I just wanted to feel arnav no pun intended.
Arnav: If you didnot feel ashamed then why will i feel?
Khushi: It was just a kiss Arnav
Arnav: So what? And it wasnot just a kiss. It was a proper smooch ok? I am no saint that i could have controlled after that.
Khushi turned towards him still holding her tshirt.
Arnav looked at her bossom once and then jerked his head and helped her wear the top and rested his hand on her shoulder.
Arnav: Khushi! I lied to you
Khushi frowned.
Arnav: I didnot buy the phone from the piggy bank a/c
Khushi: I knew it! she jerked his hand.
Arnav: Khushi come on yaar. Please
Khushi: Arnav tujhe pata hai mujhe yeh sab pasand nahi hai
Arnav: I know. but iss baar le le please
Khushi smelled at him. she couldnot reject him any more.
She happily took the phone from the bed and came near him.
She switched on the camera and took several pics of both of them together.
Some hugging him
Some he hugging her
Some he kissing her on her cheeks and some she kissing him.
Some he took while she posed.
some she took ruffling his hair, posing like females.
They dropped on the bed togther enjoying browsing their recently taken snaps.
