Chapter 3

Priya started telling what happened that day when he proposed her..

Priya was getting ready for college , she gets down to have breakfast but was stopped by her uncle , she was afraid to see him in the way and was praying that he should not beat her in the morning itself ...

Ramesh blocked her way and asks " it seems someone is happy to go college  ( Priya shrinks her forehead getting confused by his talk but still nodded no ) ..by the way I got to know you have some friends and one is special among them ( priya's heart started beating faster as she heard friends , she knows if he has used their names it means he is planning something ) who is this Arun and what relation you had with him ( his tone becomes louder scaring her and she was shocked to hear Arun from him as she had never taken his name in front of him ) why are you getting shocked , I Know everything about you , what you thought you will enjoy in college and I will sit here silently watching you freaking out with your boyfriend..."

Priya with fear answered his question " no..no.nothing..nothing is..in.. bet.. between..u..u..us , he is..he is.. just..just ..my classmate.. nothing else.." 

Ramesh slaps her hardly imprinting his fingers on her cheeks , which became red and slightly purple , he holds her tightly by her shoulders , she hissed in pain tears were continuously flowing through her eyes without a pause  , he said " it will be better if you continue the same and if I got to know that there is something between you and that Arun then it will be the last day for your Arun , my men will always be around you to keep an eye on you so that you can't plan to run away from here with your boyfriend , stay away from him and your friends , dare you tell about this to anyone then all will be Dead and one more thing why they came to drop you yesterday , make sure that they won't come here again otherwise they won't reach there home, understood... " he left her and went from there, last evening when the gang came to drop Priya coincidentally he saw them and asked his men to found about them but they did one mistake that they didn't try to found who really Arun is ?? , Priya was standing in a shock to hear this that she is being followed by his men and he knows they came to drop her , it wasn't easy for her to stop them entering the house  but somehow she managed to stop otherwise they would have known about her miserable life.... she thinks it  is dangerous for her friends that her uncle know about them and for there betterment she have to maintain distance from everyone especially from Arun ... 

she went back to her room and cried on her fate then puts a heavy make up on her face to cover the slap marks and of course her tears then she went to college , today she was little alert as she knows she is being followed , she looked by corner of her eyes and found four men are following her, tears comes into her eyes unknown to her, she wiped them off and went to college....

It was break time she was sitting alone under the tree with a book just to show others that she is reading but she was lost in her thoughts about how to stay away from her friends and from her Arun to keep them safe .... that's when Arun came there alone and when he called her " Priya " she came out of her trance with jerk and found him alone , her tension increased she asked for others and he replied that he came for her and she was not able to think further , she was confused about what he wants to talk and that is when it happened he proposed her , it took time for her to realize that Arun has really proposed her , she felt it as a dream , she was overwhelmed by the thought that Arun loves her he is such a gem of a person, she too had feelings for him from starting , the way he supports her , the way he cares for her and of course when he sometimes went on starving and gives his food to her making a fake reason so that she can eat as she didn't brought anything to eat and can't buy on her own ...

Priya was smiling emotionally to get such a person in her life , she blushed her cheeks went red and she shyingly forwards her hand to take the rose and she took the rose then looked at Arun with a blush who was still on his knees keeping his eyes closed out of nervousness but that is when her eyes falls on a person who was hiding himself behind the bushes little far from them , she narrowed her eyes to see who is that and she recognized him as one of the person who was following her and the fear again developed in her thinking about her uncle's words , her heart started thumping fast because of fear she was looking at the person and her eyes go wide in shock when she saw him aiming Arun with a gun , she thought if she accepted then it's sure that he will kill Arun and surely she don't want that to happen so she rejected him... she rejected him even though her heart wanted to tell him that she too loves him but her fate , she can't be happy , she took that rose from Arun out of love but crushed it on her fate , she used all those words for him which is not even in his dictionary , all accusions were lie and she knew that no one is as pure as Arun , he knows what a relationship is and he is the guy who respects tradition , culture and commitment but the blame which she gave to him was hurting her more than Arun , she has never felt as helpless as she was feeling that time to see Arun broken and in tears , he was a fun loving guy , he had never been upset for anything , there would always be smile on his face but today he is crying because of her , it hurts her more when he addresses his love as mistake...she wanted to tell it's not mistake but if she shows any of her feelings then he will die and to save him she lied and rejected him very rudely so that he won't come behind her but still he forwarded a hand of friendship towards her which makes her cry more , she was thinking how can he be like this what kind of person he is , a minute before she had broken his heart mercilessly , she thought he will slap her for putting wrong allegations but he is asking her to be his friend.... she couldn't take it , she went from there without giving a reply to him after making sure that he is safe now ,that man has put his gun down when he saw Priya throwing rose on him... then she cried hiding herself in restroom for hours and then went home stating she is not well.....

Prem was boiling in anger when he gets to know that Arun was about to be killed, he controlled his anger and asked " you mean you rejected him because he was on gun point.."

Priya nodded yes and started crying remembering her harsh words to Arun and his broken state,  Arun was so happy to know that she too loves him and whatever happened that day was just because of situation ...

Prem was so angry and was unable to digest the fact that his Arun was aimed to death so he asked her " why didn't you told me about it... he is my brother and don't you think I should know about him being aimed.." his tone was little louder and she shakes in fear ..

Priya with a fear replied " I.. I was afraid , I was not knowing what to do , his men were following me and I don't know what they would have done if I come to you...so I went home to avoid Arun as I know it will hurt him more if I stay in front of him ... I thought to leave this city that day and will never look back, somehow I managed to escape from the house , I was almost out of the city but veeru's men caught me and took me back into the hell again , uncle was so angry because of my this move and to punish me ..he..he.." she was unable to say and started crying heavily , Arun was unable to see her like that , he wanted to hug her tightly and calm her down , he wanted to say he is with her , he moved towards her, all felt little relief as Arun moved towards her they thought she really needed a support and they were witness of this gang's thick friendship and they too were unable to see her like that but Arun stopped in middle after he saw prem looking at him..he was about to move back but Prem allowed him and he ran to Priya and hugged her tightly as much as he could , Priya forgetting everything hugged him and cried aloud letting her every pain on his shoulder , it was the first time after so many years she got a shoulder to cry ... 

Prem wanted to know everything what happened that day so that he could take some decisions and he asked " then what happened..." 

Priya cried more and hide herself in his shoulder more ... prem took her hand in his and then said " tell me Priya what happened next.. I promise you nothing will happen to you trust me.."

Arun cupped her face and said " Priya.. please tell us everything.. don't get afraid ok .. bhaiya is here naa ..he won't let anything happen to you just tell us what happened after that .. what he did with you.."

Priya nodded and continues " he..he asked those men to..to.. r...rape me..( everyone were shocked to hear this prem's grip became tight around her hand he was burning in anger to hear this , he felt like killing that man at that very moment , Arun immediately pulled her into hug, her friends too came and hugged her to give her a support and to tell that they are with her , all were having tears to see her ) ..they.. they were.... ascending towards ...meee , I.. I was pleading and begging continuously to forgive me but he didn't listen ( prem closed his eyes in disgust as he heard her plight , he wasn't able to listen further more but he didn't stopped her as he knows that it's the first time she is sharing her pain to anyone ).. I ....ran into kitchen ...to.. to hide but one of them took..took my dupatta and..and throws on floor..( it was so painful for everyone to hear about her miserable State they just wanted to stop her but none of them dared to do that when prem was there , it was more painful for her to describe that thing which happened with her but she was feeling little lighter as some burden is being removed from her heart which she was carrying all these years silently... ) I was so scared , I cried for help but no one came , they all were laughing on me , I.. I took a knife from there and attacked to the one ...who was coming near me... cutting on his palm which was coming to..to.. touch.. me , with a scream he went back and other to stayed back , I took that as a chance and ran to my room and closed the door ..( all took a sigh of relief as she was saved from that ...) I was crying and crying , that knife was still in my hands and that day I thought to .. thought to suicide ..."

Prem : whatttt... how could you even think of it...

Priya : I wasn't having any option sir ... outside of my room there were two animals ready to eat me and I can't live in that room itself , I thought suicide is better than starving , I was about to cut my wrist but veeru came there...( Prem's anger went on peak as he heard veeru's name , he already has gurgde with him and when he heard he is also involved in it his anger has no limits then ..) .. I think he guessed what I was upto so he threatened me saying he will still complete his deal even after I am alive or not by replacing me with.. with .. vishakha or Swati or both..( she looked at vishakha and Swati who was standing in shock after hearing this , Ankit and Naveen holds both of their hands comforting them , prem could now understand the whole matter he clutched his fist tightly and was determined not to leave that veeru..) .. I was left with no option so I stayed back and after sometime they went... I thought it will be better to continue being Arun's friend then ignoring him that's why I accepted his friendship....after completing she was crying and the hall was in silence ..

Prem was red in anger he ordered the peon to bring a glass of water and peon ran to bring it and then gave it to prem with trembling hands as he can clearly see anger in prem's eyes ..prem forwarded the glass to Priya and asks her to drink , Arun helped her to drink water and after that prem asked controlling his anger trying not to sound rude.." do you love Arun ..." 

Priya with a fear looked at prem and then to Arun and next to her friends  everyone were waiting for the answer , at last she again looked at prem who was looking like a fierce hungry lion who is ready to eat his prey , Priya gulped her saliva and was all pale , thinking what should she answer .. prem again asked and this time she nodded yes slightly and kept her head down trying not to face prem as she is afraid of his reaction...

Arun was happy to know this and was smiling .. prem turned to Arun and asked " what about you..." , Arun delightfully nodded yes...

Prem again asked in Same cold and rude tone " is there any problem if I ask you both to marry..." There was a moment of silence for sometime and then prem asked again " is there any problem if I ask you both to marry..." He looked at both of them waiting for answer , Arun and Priya looked at each other and then Arun said " hmm..no ..no problem.. it's.. it's ok.." he told in a little voice ...

Prem stands up and then said " alright then tommorow is your marriage and today engagement , it's not good to send her there again ...so from today she's gonna be with us.." all were in shock with his sudden announcement of marriage even Arun and Priya too  , they weren't knowing that he will take such a decision..

Prem looked at Arun then said " what..why are you shocked don't you want to marry her ( Arun nodded yes and said " but tommorow... How..' ).. why..why can't be tommorow .."

Arun : uhh.. I mean isn't it a bit early .. I mean preparation and...

Prem cuts him in middle and said " no .. I don't think so.. about preparation that's our problem I will handle it you don't worry , your marriage will be the best one in the whole City that's my responsibility , you just say you are going to marry her or not..( Arun nodded , he knows if prem has decided something means it will happen at any cost and then prem turned towards Priya ) .. and you Priya..are you ok with this , I think it's better choice because it's sure veeru is not gonna leave you .. and if you are thinking about your studies then don't worry you can continue after marriage we don't have any problem and if you had any dreams regarding to your future then also it's no problem we will help you to stand on your own and about your relationship I Know it's little strained because of this mess but you can handle it after that too.. I am hurrying for marriage just to keep you away from veeru's reach that's it no any other intentions , veeru won't even touch you once you become the member of Diwedi family... you will be given all the rights and freedom which Arun had , you will be kept as a daughter of our house and I promise you that you won't face any problem.. and you know that my decision is the final one so are you ok with marriage ..uhh I mean to held it tommorow..."

Priya was still confused on the happenings , she was not in a state to take any decisions , she was looking at her friends then at Arun and they were incouraging her to say yes infact everyone present there from teachers to students everyone were telling her to say yes except Jamanlal he was lost somewhere in his own thoughts....

Prem raised his hand showing his palm asking them to stop and the hall became pin Drop silence then he said " don't listen to them and also not to Arun tell me about your decision what you think I have told my intentions about this marriage , it's totally your decision to accept it or not I'm not gonna force you if you deny.."

" I will ..." Priya answered in low tone still trying not to make any eye contact with prem or any other...the place was filled with hooting , whistles , cheers all were happy for there marriage...

Prem again raised his hand and again silence " alright so today is engagement and tommorow marriage but first I want to meet your uncle , I think he don't know who Prem Diwedi is ...and Arun don't worry about preparation your marriage will be the best one as I have only one brother .." 

Arun : but bhaiya first inform in home too..

Prem : yeah you are right dad is already here ... everyone looked at jamanlal who was still lost in his thoughts without knowing about what is happening in the surrounding that is when prem noticed what all had Happened and what will be running in his mind , he runs towards him fastly ..

Prem reached to jamanlal followed by Arun and his friends, as soon as prem reached there he hugged Jamanlal tightly " dad..dad.. it's nothing ok.. it's nothing ...relax ..relax.. nothing happened...( jamanlal came into Trance and saw prem near him , he hugged him and was hiding himself in his shoulder and was murmuring something which was inaudible, Prem turned towards Jamanlal's PA and asked him for the pills which Jamanlal used when he got fits because of stress , but unfortunately his PA forgot to take those today...) What... how can you... for what I have appointed you idiot ( prem shouts at him and he was trembling like a little lamb which is standing in front of lion just a feet away all alone , Arun got panicked to know that they don't have meds , tears formed in his eyes he said " what will we do now , his condition will become worse without it.." ) nothing Arun , don't worry nothing will happen.. ( prem hugged Jamanlal and in low voice talked to him so that other's can't listen him , also was caressing his back and trying to calm him..) shhh..stop thinking about that.. you know right if you will continue to remember, it will hurt you More so just stop thinking about it dad.. "

Jamanlal says " but I am unable to , it sometimes becomes difficult to come out of it I am trying to forget it but it is coming again and again ,if I would have .." 

prem cuts him in middle and said " please.. nothing is gonna change now what happened is happened and you only told me once that past is to be forgotten right then just do it ..( jamanlal was now convinced little because it's the truth nothing can be changed now and it's waste to think about all this over and over again , they were talking in whispers so no one else was able to hear about what they are talking about Arun asked " what happened what you guys are doing " ) see dad now he too started asking please handle yourself and if you will be  like this then Arun will get a doubt and we have decided not to tell him anything right ( Jamanlal nodded still being on his shoulder ) so now relax and stop thinking about it nothing happened okk , stay calm take a long breath " 

Jamanlal nodded and in a little and lost voice said " hmmm ".. Jamanlal did as prem asked him and then in sometime  he became normal

Arun went and hugged Jamanlal asking " now you ok Dad ..." 

Jamanlal released the hug and smiled saying he is fine now..

Prem : hey Dad .. don't take any tension ok.. I am here naa everything will be fine ..hmmm...ok so I have taken a decision and I want your support in that..

Jamanlal nodded and asked " ok ..but first tell me are you asking a support from me or ordering that I should support you..." Everyone giggled but stopped after seeing prem glaring at them..

Prem : of course ordering , today is Arun's engagement with Priya and tommorow marriage...

Jamanlal : whatttt... today , are you mad .. how can it be possible .. 

Prem : once it's decided it's decided and you just go home I will send people for preparation the only thing which you have to do is to supervise them nothing else and I don't think there is any problem in that , right..

Jamanlal : but there is something called auspicious day and timing ...

Prem : you know I don't believe in all these and for me the day on which my brother is happy is the most auspicious day and I am sure he is happy to marry his love and that's enough for me....( prem looked at Arun who was smiling and others were looking at him amazed on the way he is ordering his dad , few minutes before he was talking so softly and now again Mr khadoos , he won't change ever...) And yaa I don't want any excuses this marriage is gonna happen ,about invitations we don't have Any relatives only your clients and college people , so you just mail them about timing and if they can't then they can join in reception party and about college everyone is here so ...( He turned towards the students and continues )  I am inviting everyone of you to join us in the happy occasion of my brother's marriage ( he looked at everyone and they nodded to come still in a shock to see his planning)....now done so next don't try to make any excuses ok..do the work we have less time...and don't take any type of stress ... everything will be fine...and yaa you all ( he pointed towards Arun's gang and they became little scared but still looked at prem ) you are his friend so you all will be coming to our home from now as we have less time and if you willing to join me now also then you can come...

Jamanlal : where are you going now...

Prem : to meet priya's uncle , actually he don't know about me naa so I am going to give my introduction...are you guys joining me..( he asked to gang and they nodded yes )..

Prem with Priya , Arun and his gang went to meet priya's uncle leaving everyone in shock ... Jamanlal was still trying to understand what all he had been ordered to do and then he too went home for preparation of engagement....
