Chapter 56

Sid became extra cautious after the incident with Sakshi. He stayed most of the time at home to assure himself of his family's safety.  

In the meantime, roli started taking care of her father's business with the help of Sid. Meanwhile Sid and sunny started preparations for Rahul's marriage. 

A week flee as everybody got busy with their respective works. Veeru didn't do anything during the week and remained calm. 

On the day of the marriage, bharadwaj house was decorated with flowers. Mausiji reached in the early morning with the boys. 

Same like RoSid's marriage, this marriage was also done in a simple manner with only few people. 

Rahul and Tanvi got ready in their wedding dresses and sat in the mandap. Roli did ghatbhandan while Sid stood at side with Sakshi in his arms, who was playing with flower petals. 

After performing all the rituals, Rahul and Tanvi became couple officially. They took blessings from mausiji and sabita. 

Then they went near RoSid. Roli hugged Tanvi as she congratulated her. Rahul hugged Sid. While Sakshi showered a few rose petals on Rahul as if she was blessing him. 

"Bless me dadi maa" Rahul said, keeping Sakshi's little hand on his head. Everybody laughed at Sakshi's cute act. 

"Yeah baby.. bless him to give one more little baby soon" sunny commented making everybody giggle. 

They all had food with chattering and laughter. Later Roli sent Tanvi to the room she had arranged for Rahul and Tanvi. 

When Rahul was about to go, sunny and others blocked his way. 

"What?" Rahul frowned at them. 

"Give us something to leave you" sunny said with a smirk. 

"Why should I give you anything?" Rahul stared at sunny. 

"It's a ritual, bro" sunny replied smugly. 

"But, I don't remember any such ritual doing in Bhai's wedding" Rahul calmly glanced at sunny. He knew the latter was crazy at times. 

"Sunny is scared to pull off such acts with Bhai" Sameer spoke with a giggle. 

"Oh, please. I'm not scared" sunny said with an attitude. 

"Really?" Sid, who was busy handling his daughter sitting in the sofa, turned his head at sunny and raised his eyebrows. 

"I didn't mean it, Bhai" sunny immediately covered up his words as everybody laughed at his pity expression. 

"And Sakshi, please keep your papa busy, baby" sunny literally begged to Sakshi. 

Sunny turned back to Rahul and urged him "are you giving us something or going to stay here leaving your wife". 

Rahul shook his head as he took out his wallet. Before he took out money, sunny snatched it from him. 

"I'll take care of this. You go take care of your wife" sunny winked and cleared the placed for Rahul to leave. 

"I'll deal with you in your wedding" Rahul warned while sunny rolled his eyes as if he wouldn't care. 

A little while later everyone left to take rest. Sid entered the room with Sakshi. Roli was busy with laptop and seriously working on it. 

"Seems like your mumma is super busy" Sid sat in bed next to roli and said. 

"Yeah. Mumma is indeed busy today. We've got so many new projects and I need to check all those details to approve them" roli replied and continued to work. 

"Fine. Let mumma do her work and we'll play" Sid turned to his baby in his lap. 

Then the father daughter duo started playing while teasing roli then and there. An hour later Sakshi slowly drifted in to sleep in her Papa's lap. 

Sid gently placed the baby on bed and looked at roli, who was reading the mails. 

"Give it to me, I'll check on those. You take rest" Sid tried to take the laptop from her. 

"The one who needs the rest more is you. You've not slept well last night because of the preparations. So, like a good boy take rest and let me do my work" roli said strictly. 

"roli.." 

"Sleep" roli said sternly. Sid sighed thinking she wouldn't listen to him. So, he laid down beside Sakshi. But he slept only after roli finished her work, which crossed almost 11 in the night. 

For the next one month, roli got busy with the office works. Though she wouldn't go to office, she handled all the works pretty well from home.  

One fine day, roli finally got some free time to play with Sakshi. Sid got some important work and had to leave in the early morning. 

Roli spent time playing with Sakshi until afternoon. While she was busy with her baby, she got a call from her office. 

They informed that clients had reached the office and they required her to be present while making the legal formalities of the contract. 

"What happened Di?" Tanvi asked, watching roli's changed expression. 

"Got some work in office. Have to go" roli sighed after hanging up the call. 

"Then wait until Bhai returns. You can go along with him" Tanvi suggested thoughtfully as she too knew about veeru's attempts. She also knew about Sid and the gang's true identity. So, she thought it wouldn't be safe for roli to go without Sid. 

"I would've waited but, the clients are waiting. I don't even know when siddu might return. He said he's going on some important work. So, I can't wait. And don't worry, I'll return as soon as the work finishes" roli said as it was really necessary for her to go. 

"Shall I too come with you" Tanvi wasn't convinced to send roli alone. 

"No, Baba. I'll just go and return within an hour. You be at home and take care of Sakshi" roli said as she passed the baby to Tanvi. 

Sakshi's little finger got stuck to roli's mangalsutra as roli passed her to Tanvi. She looked at her mumma as she didn't want her mumma to leave. 

"Bachcha, mumma will return soon. Until then, like a good girl play with Tanvi chachi and don't trouble her okay" after taking her mangalsutra from Sakshi's finger, roli cupped her face and explained. 

"Don't worry Di, Sakshi is my responsibility until you return, I'll take care of her. But, you be careful. If Bhai knows that you're going alone, he'll be angry" Tanvi said as she held Sakshi in her arms. 

"I'll explain to him later. Now I should leave. Bye, baby" roli kissed her daughter and prepared to leave. 

Roli wanted to go by taxi but, then she thought it'd be late if she waited for taxi. She found Sid's car in the parking lot of the house. She thought Sid might've gone in Rahul's car as they both went together in the morning. 

Instead of waiting for taxi and wasting time, she decided to drive Sid's car. She started the car towards her office. 

On the other hand, Sid and Rahul were done with their meeting with Pratap and returning home. As it was a confidential meeting, they had to leave in the early morning before anyone could spot them. And to avoid unnecessary attention, Sid hadn't taken his car, which many of the people would recognise. 

"What's this idiot want now" Rahul said as he checked his phone, sitting in passenger's seat. 

"Who?" Sid queried, turning his attention from the road to Rahul. 

"Sunny. Who else?" Rahul said as Sid chuckled. 

"So, finally Nidhi returned. Sunny picked her up from airport and going home. Asking us to come home soon as he wants to celebrate" Rahul said after reading the text message from sunny. 

"Is he going to get married today or what?" Rahul continued with a giggle. 

Sid smiled listening to Rahul. But, suddenly he started feeling some uneasiness at his chest and he slowed down the car speed. 

"What happened, Bhai?" Rahul looked at Sid and found his face tensed. 

"I don't know" Sid slowly replied, not understanding what was happening to him. 

"If you're not feeling well, stop the car at side. I'll drive" Rahul said earnestly. 

"Don't know why but, I'm feeling like something bad is going to happen" Sid spoke amongst the strange feeling in his heart. It was the first time he was feeling something like that. 

When Rahul was about to say something, Sid's phone started ringing. 

Shoving away his weird thoughts, Sid answered the call. 

"So, how are you siddhant bharadwaj?" He heard a voice from the other side. 

"Veeru" Sid uttered immediately recognising the voice. 

"I'm glad you still remember me" veeru smiled satisfyingly as he continued "so, coming to the point. Have you ever thought that you'd die before defeating me?". 

"I'm not in the mood to talk to you" saying that Sid wanted to hung up the call but, veeru stopped him. 

"You've to do even if you're not in the mood. Because this is the only chance for you to talk to me. After this day, I'm not sure whether you'll be alive or not" veeru smirked as he thought of his plan to kill Sid. 

"Who might have thought the great siddhant bharadwaj is going to die on the highway in an accident" veeru continued whilst Sid frowned as he wasn't in the highway and not even anywhere near to that place. 

"Well, before you die, I want to say one thing... I won and you're going to lose even your life in just a matter of few minutes" Sid was even more confused at veeru's words now. 

"Good bye. Have a safe journey to heaven or hell wherever you want" veeru smiled evilly and hung up the call. 

"What did that coward say now?" Rahul asked watching Sid's confused face. 

"He was saying that I'm going to die on highway in few minutes" Sid replied calmly as he was thinking something deeply. 

"We're nowhere around the highway. Veeru really lost his brain" Rahul said thinking it as just veeru's blabbering. 

"But, what if someone else is driving my car. Veeru might be thinking that I'm in that car and trying to do something" Sid immediately analysed the whole situation. 

"Your car is at home. How can it be on highway?" Rahul tried to assure Sid, who was being worried. 

"Veeru sounded so confident. He must be up to something. We can't sit quiet and do nothing" the uneasiness in Sid's heart increased more by now after veeru's phone call. 

"Fine, I'll call home and check" Rahul then dialed to Tanvi. 

"Anybody drove Bhai's car?" As soon as Tanvi answered the call, Rahul questioned. 

"Yeah.. Roli di is driving it. Why, what happened?" Tanvi asked sensing the tense in his tone. 

"Roli.." Rahul turned to Sid as he uttered the name. 

Sid finally realised why he was feeling a strange fear and uneasiness. 

"Where she went?" Rahul asked Tanvi. 

"Di got some important work in office. But, first tell me what happened?" Tanvi asked again worriedly. 

"I'll talk to you later" Rahul hung up the call and turned to Sid "Roli is going to office". 

"She has to pass through the highway to go to office" Sid sped up the car and raced towards highway.
