A Date - One Shot

"I can't tell you how badly I've missed you" saying sid walked up to roli, who was standing at the Window and staring at the dark sky.  

Reaching roli, sid tried to back hug her. However, the moment she felt the touch, she jerked in freight and turned around. 

"Hey.. what happened?" Sid immediately cupped her face, which seemed to be tensed. 

Finding the person was her sid, roli heaved a sigh of relief as she held his hands.  

Sid felt a deep pain as he watched her scared face. He realized she was yet to come out of the trauma she had been through because of shaurya singhania. 

"Ae sherni.." sid made her to look at him and said "don't forget that you're my sherni. And you proved it yet again. As always you've stood up for truth and fought for  it". 

Roli looked at him with teary eyes and she still tightly held on to his hands. 

"I was scared" roli spoke in a hoarse voice. 

Yes, she was his sherni. But, still she felt scared all the times when shaurya tried to approach her. It didn't mean she was a scary kitten. She faced him with all the courage and unveiled his evil face to the family members, who blindly believed him. 

But, she had to go through all those things when her sid was away from her. And that was what scared her. 

Everybody thought she was brave. Yes, she was. But, no matter how courageous she was, she still needed her sid to be beside her at the end. Without him near her, she used to feel alone and that loneliness scared her more than anything. 

Sid felt his heart crunching in pain when he heard the word scared from his sherni. He quickly pulled her into his embrace and hugged her as tightly as he could. 

He knew his roli had been through a lot all these days he was away from her. And he hated himself for letting his roli to take up all the pain alone. 

But, he couldn't be blamed for that as he wasn't even aware of the happenings. Roli never told him as she didn't want to disturb his work. 

Damn the work! He could've left the whole world behind for her. But, she didn't give him the chance and suffered everything alone. 

Sid comforted roli in his arms for sometime before she fell asleep, feeling his heavenly warmth after so long. 

Sid really couldn't see his sherni in such a pity state. So, he made a plan to cheer up her mood. 

Next day, sid spent the entire day with roli. They both went to watch a movie and roamed around until evening. 

Roli too started enjoying, forgetting everything. Of course, when sid was with her, she had to let go of all the worries. 

"Siddhant ji, when we're going back to home? See it's almost night now" roli turned to sid, who was focusing on driving, and asked. 

"There's still one place left for us to go" sid replied vaguely. 

"What's still left? We have almost covered the entire delhi today" roli said rolling her eyes. 

She still couldn't believe that she was actually spending the entire day with her sid. It was something that she had always wished for - To spend some quality time with sid, without any disturbances. 

But, considering sid, who was as workaholic as could be, it remained as only a wishful thinking. And now when her wish was turning in to reality, she couldn't be more happier. 

"Here we are" sid stopped the car and turned to roli. 

"Let's go" sid got down and led the way to roli, who followed him in confusion. 

When they both entered in to the villa, a guy came over and handed the keys to sid. 

Retrieving the keys, sid walked ahead as he held roli's hand in his. 

"What's happening here?" Roli asked impatiently. 

Sid turned to her and with a smile, he opened the door. He signalled her to get in. 

Roli entered in to find the room pitch dark. When she was about to speak, suddenly lights got switched on. 

With the sudden brightness in room, roli closed her eyes and opened again. 

The moment she opened her eyes, they twinkled with surprise as she watched the fully decorated room. 

Room was beautifully decorated with roses and white clothes. In the middle of the room there was a round dining table with two chairs.

Roli watched everything in aww. She turned to sid, who was gazing at her with a slight smile. 

She walked to him with a bright smile, which he had missed all these days. 

"It's beautiful, siddhant ji" roli said glancing at the room. 

"Not more than you" sid replied with admiration.

"And I love you more than you do. I know your tricks very well" sid cupped her face and said before she could reply. 

He remembered how once she tricked him to say that he doesn't love her more than she does. 

Roli chuckled at his response. "it's really beautiful" she said, looking at the beautifully decorated room. 

"Yes, it is" sid agreed, fixing his eyes at roli. It seemed like he was praising her more than the decorated room. 

Roli looked into his piercing eyes as he caressed her cheeks with his thumb softly.  She felt a tickle in her stomach at his sensible touch. 

"What's the need for all these?" Roli asked, trying to divert his attention as his sharp gaze making her restless. 

"I'm sorry, roli" sid said, making roli confused. 

"Why sorry?" Roli furrowed her eyebrows, not understanding why sid was apologizing. 

"I couldn't be with you when you needed the most. I shouldn't have left you alone. It was my fault" sid said with a lump in his throat. He was too guilty to leave her alone. 

Roli held his hands, which were cupping her face and replied with a smile "it was never your fault. I know my siddhant ji. If he knew that I'm in trouble, he'll leave everything and can even fight with the world to protect his roli. So, no sorry". 

"But, still..." Roli kept her index finger on his lips and stopped him. 

"There's no place for sorry and thanks between us, understand?" roli said firmly. 

Sid smiled and hugged her. Then he took her to the decorated table which had various delicious dishes kept on top of it. 

Pulling a chair out, sid made roli to sit and he occupied another chair opposite to her. 

Sid poured roli's favourite flavoured soft drink in to a glass and forwarded to her. Roli reached out her hand to take it but, before she could, he took it back near his mouth and started sipping it. 

By giving a glare to sid for playing with her, roli took the bottle and poured drink in to a glass for herself. 

But before her hand reach her mouth, sid again stopped her by holding her pinkie finger with his. 

Roli looked at him and tightened her grip on his pinkie finger with a smile. They both came forward a little and started drinking whilst holding on to each other's pinkie finger and looking in to each other's eyes. 

After the drink was finished, they both kept their glasses on table. Without breaking the eyelock, sid slowly held her hand. 

Roli's cheeks turned cherry red at the affect of his piercing gaze and his soft touch. She downed her eyes and pulled her hand from his hold as she tried hard to control her blush. 

Sid got up and walked to a corner, wondering roli. She watched him as he turned on the music system that was kept at a corner of the room. 

Sid walked back to roli in a slow pace, fixing his eyes at her, making her restless. Reaching her, he extended his right hand, asking her to dance with him. 

Smiling with a blush, roli gave her hand to him as she stood up from the chair. 

Sid twirling her, made her to circle her right hand around his neck as he pulled her closer. 

Wrapping his left hand around her waist, he filled the gap between them by pulling her even closer. 

As roli was feeling too shy, she kept her gaze fixed to the ground. Sid held her chin and made her to meet his eyes. 

His eyes scanned her face which looked angelic under the dim lightning in the room. Roli blinked her eyes and again gazed down as she couldn't bear his piercing gaze. 

His hand moved up from her chin and he softly stroked her lower lip with his thumb. Roli felt a shiver and she couldn't dare to raise her head and look at him. 

"It's getting late" roli spoke up slowly. 

"When roli is in siddhant's arms, time will also be paused" sid replied in a husky  voice, fixing his gaze at her. 

"Siddhant ji.." roli called restlessly as she couldn't take it anymore. His gaze, the soft music and romantic atmosphere in the room, everything making her too restless. 

"Roli ji.." sid mimicked her in the same tone. 

Roli took her hands off of him and turned around to control the butterflies dancing in her stomach. 

Sid chuckled and moving closer to her, he back hugged her. Roli closed her eyes and felt the moment. 

"I'll never leave you alone again" sid spoke, resting his chin on her right shoulder. 

Roli opened her eyes and turned around to look at him. 

Sid cupped her face in his palms and continued "I won't let you take any pain alone again. Let it be anything, I won't let it touch my roli. I promise". 

Roli's eyes got moist at his sincere words. "I know" she smiled emotionally and fell on his chest. 

With his one hand on her waist and the other on her face, he embraced her, completing the hug. 

Roli smiled in his hug as she listened to his heartbeat. Only she knew how badly she missed his warmth all those days when he was away. 

Being in his arms, she raised her head up to look at him and said "if you have to go anywhere, I too will come with you. You've to bear my chikchik pikpik even if you're at work". 

Sid smiled, looking down at her face. He loves the way she would behave childishly with him. 

"I love you, yaar" sid smiled and kissed on her forehead. 

"I love you too na yaar" roli too confessed and hugged him even more tighter. 

After being in each other's arms for a while, they both started having food feeding each other. With Sid's mischievous acts and roli's blushing, they finished the food. And they returned home after spending an entire day with each other and creating lots of memories.
