~Prologue and Character Sketch~

...Prologue...

There she stood at the airport looking at the setting sun. Tomorrow she would finally be home. Home where he was. True that it had been so long since they had last met. The circumstances had been different then but now, she was older and wiser. She was determined things would be different. She was determined to prove herself. She was sure his presence would not affect her. ‘Of course not’ she murmured to herself yet a small voice at the back of her mind whispered ‘Then why did you choose CBI, Delhi branch where he happens to be?’ Pushing back her thoughts, she picked up her bags and walked towards the aircraft,

 ‘Arnav Singh Raizada, so we meet again tomorrow’.

The sun had finally set and the case finally closed. It had been an exhausting day and he couldn’t wait to hit the bed. As he closed his eyes, he remembered something and groaned. His boss had informed him about a new recruit joining tomorrow and he was supposed to mentor her. He hated mentoring and had often found ways to escape by giving the job to someone else but this time his boss had been firm and he had no reason to disagree. He had briefly glanced at the recruit’s profile. She seemed to have topped in training school but was a novice at field work. His boss had talked glowingly of her and her skills. He turned around in his sleep and murmured,

 ‘Khushi Kumari Gupta, hope you will survive a day under me’.

...Brief Character Sketch...

Current CBI Team:

Shyam Manohar Jha – The Boss, leader of the team. He is a strong leader, keeps his team together. Strict at times but very understanding. He is known for his perfection. He believes in never leaving a case unfinished. This is one of the reasons CBI is successful.

Arnav Singh Raizada – Perfect example of a loyal, brave and brilliant detective. He lost his memory in an accident that he got into while chasing a criminal.

Khushi Kumari Gupta - New recruit. Was Arnav’s college sweetheart. He forgot about her when he lost his memory. She is feisty, beautiful and brave.

Anjali Malhotra – The rock of the team. She is the one everyone turns to when things go wrong. She is compassionate yet has a strong sense of justice. She is known for her empathy towards victims.

Dr. Aakash Agnihotri – The forensic expert of the team. More than his experiments and researches, he is looked up by the team for being able to just look at a victim and quickly judge his/her character.

Payal Sharma – The nerd of the team. She is the computer expert. Any phone needs to be unlocked, laptop needs to have data recovered or a video to be decoded, she is the person for the job.  An introvert but a perfect fun-lover in the team.

Nandkishore Basu – Lovingly called as NK, he is the prank master of the team. He is Arnav’s right-hand man and his most trusted friend. He looks up to Arnav as one would an elder brother. He would gladly die for Arnav. The bond they share is unique.

Lavanya Mittal – She is the legal advisor of the team. She does the paper work. Though she is not involved in field work, she is closely associated with the team and very friendly with them. Though there are times when there are a few clashes as she strictly follows the rules and the team just believe in catching the criminal any way they can, she is indispensable. The team fondly calls her as La and love her.
