JMC college

It was the last day of third year session and students were gathered in the auditorium for an event in which the students who are top rankers will be honoured by chief guest who is none other than Jamanlal Diwedi , many students wants to be like him he is role model for many of them. And he is here to inspire the students who were unable to get promoted to next year ...

The event was about to start and the announcement was made to call the students who are still roaming around, Arun was with his gang Ankit , vishakha , Naveen and Swati , they were chit chatting and was waiting for Priya to come so that they could go together but don't know where's she , she didn't came to college yet ...

Naveen : oyee , Arun where's Priya , we are getting late if we entered after the event starts your brother will kill us ...

Arun : how do I know where she is.

Ankit : why won't you , you are her lover right ...asks him in a teasing tone and gains a hit from Arun..

Arun : I told you right not to talk about this again..she is not my lover ...he said in a very dull tone and his eyes became moist as he remembered the day when Priya rejected his proposal very rudely and even asked to break their friendship but he somehow manages to convince her at least for being his friend if not love , he hides his tears before his friends could notice it..

Vishakha : I still didn't understood why she rejected our Arun , what is less in him..

Arun : just because she treats me as her friend only it was me who took it into other direction not her and please I don't want anyone to bring this topic again got it and if anyone does this I will do a fake  complaint about him/ her to bhaiya then you guys handle him ok...

Everyone : nooo.... please leave us we won't say about this again and don't complain about us otherwise he will eat us alive...

Arun : okk ..ok.. now let's get in ..

Swati : areey but Priya...

Arun indicated to turn and they saw Priya was coming hurriedly with her bag on the shoulder , that is the only thing which she never leaves alone and always holds it as she had hid some treasure in it , sometimes Arun thinks it would have been better if he could become her bag so that she would never leave him alone ....

Priya reached them then asked pardon for being late..

Swati : it's ok let's get in otherwise Mr khadoos ( prem ) will kill us..

Arun : hey ...talk with respect he is my bhaiya..

Swati : oh hello this name was given by you only ok.. telling me to talk with respect...she mimics him and moves to get into auditorium and all laughs but Priya was neutral she just fakes a smile which was caught by Arun but he didn't want to upset her mood by asking when she doesn't want him to interfere in her life..

Vishakha : hey Priya can you keep this CD in your bag as you are only having bag here .. Priya nodded and kept the CD in bag abruptly

Ankit : what's this..he asked pointing towards CD

Vishakha : don't know prem sir has given to keep it with me and give to him when he asks for..she said shrugging her shoulder and then everyone went inside ...

They all sat in a row , event started , the students who were on first rows are pretending to be enjoying the event which in real was so boring , they were yawning then and there hiding it from prem's eyes because if he caught then it's sure he won't let them to sleep for a week. The students who are in middle were involved in scrolling phone and were chatting to others pretending they are listening everything very clearly , there was a girl who was listening to the speech very keenly as if she is taking the notes in her mind , students who were behind her or with her was amazed to see her , they were thinking what is there so interesting in it that she is involved like this forgetting the world ..her friend called her but she didn't reacted it was shocking for everyone how can she concentrate on such a useless boring speech , everyone were looking at her even Arun and his gang too ..her friend tapped her that is when that girl took her earphones out and asked " what happened ...." Everyone laughs seeing that she was lost in her music and they thought that she is too keen to hear the speech .. and about back benchers most of them were sleeping and some who were awake were playing PUBG creating a group and some were busy in commenting on others ..in all this Arun was gazing at Priya and was lost in the past

" Someone is so nervous it seems " taunted vishakha smirking on Arun who was sweating and preparing himself for proposing Priya..

" I'm not nervous ok.." replied Arun wiping his sweat sounding very confident but was failed and said " I'm very nervous " everyone laughed and incouraged him to have a move then will see what happens..

Arun went to Priya with a rose in hand who was sitting under the tree alone having a book in her hand pretending to read but she was gazing on the ground lost in her thoughts and his gang was few feet away from them turning otherside to give them some privacy and also make Arun feel that they are with him..

" Priya " Arun called her giving a jerk inside her , she looked at him then here and there to find he is alone ..

" Where are others .." she asked when she confirmed that he is alone..

" they are not here , Leave them , I am here to talk with you " he said going near her , she was confused first why he is alone and second what he wants to talk so she nodded and asked him to proceed to know why he came..

" Uhh ..me...woh.. I .." words weren't coming out of his mouth because of nervousness... Priya intently looked at him and was trying to understand what he wants to say..

Arun sat on his knees in front of her making her confused and took a long breath then closing his eyes forwarding his hand with rose to her he said in one go " I love you Priya .." 

There was a silence for sometime or can say a pause of moment , this silence will let you hear the wind blowing soothingly but causing the flutter in the leaves of tree above them creating a hush , the sound of birds chirping  and in between the sounds Arun can hear his heart beat clearly which was racing at it's maximum speed , if talking about Priya she was looking at Arun without blink it took sometime for her to understand what just really happened and when it dawned to her that he just proposed her , her face became red she took the rose in her hand , Arun smiled when he sensed the rose is taken by her he stands on his feet then opened his eyes to see her...

Arun's eyes started brimming with tears as he saw Priya was standing all red in anger and the rose in her hand was being crushed by her , his eyes were stuck on the rose he shrinks his forehead as in pain when he saw her fingers were squeezing the little flower , he could feel the pain of that flower in his heart , he felt as if she is crushing his heart not that rose. When she was done she throws the rose on Arun and it hits at place of his heart and fell down , Arun closed his eyes tightly seeing her throwing rose and when he felt the rose hitting his heart it felt like the flower fell down but it's Thorn got pierced into his heart hardly ..he opened his eyes and looked at the rose  which was on ground whose petals were disturbed he could easily see inside it , little white shedding on the red  petals at junction where it is attached from the thalamus with some of scratching of nails on petals tearing a little part of it and hundreds of tiny yellow color stamens were now disturbed  some of them were fallen off in the ground and 2-3 petals were totally off from its pedicel and fell little away from the main flower alone, he could feel the pain of that broken flower comparing it with his broken heart , he didn't dare to look at Priya and was hearing what she is saying still looking at the plight of flower..

" Don't do that .. please..it doesn't suits you ( Arun looked at her for a second when she says this then again kept his eyes down which were flooding with tears , his eyes were red , his nose his ears all were red due to his cry , he was controlling so much not to cry in front of her ..) what do you think of yourself , you will come and say ' I love you ' and I will believe , everyone knows that you are a number one flirt of this college no one says in front just because you are brother of prem Sir ( Arun gasps as he heard this he never thought what Priya thinks of him and when did he flirt with anyone , he haven't his brother will kill him only if he does anything like this then how can she blame him like that when he hadn't flirt with any girl till date and if she is telling about him talking to girls then it's just a Hi, hello which everyone does with a third person as a greeting when they pass out beside you and you know them , it's possible that everyone knows him because of prem but that doesn't mean he is flirting ..) you all guys are same cheap , filthy minded who just wants girls on there bed tell me which number I am for you ( Arun closed his eyes and clutched his fist tightly , it was when he couldn't control and the tears fell from his eyes and it drops on rose which was already crying on his fate ) tell me .. which number 12 , 13 ...19 or more which I am unable to guess hmm ( tears were continuously flowing down his cheeks wetting the rose he was unable to digest the accusions which she was putting on him . Honestly he has not touched any girl other than vishakha and Swati his gang members whom he treats as his sisters then from where she got this type of mentality for him ) and please don't give the name of love to your filthy desires , it was my mistake only that I became your friend and you thought I am your property now , so let's enjoy ( Arun whispers ' pleaseee.. enough..' but it got dumped into his throat itself and couldn't reach to Priya ears and she continues ) ok then now let me correct my mistake from today onwards you are nothing to me not even my friend , I am cutting our friendship and even from your friends too because they are your friends so they will take your side only , here after don't you dare to interfere in my life Mr Arun Diwedi .." she finishes gritting her teeth and started to strom out of that scene but was stopped by Arun , he held her hand stopping her but still didn't turned to face her , she takes her hand away and warned him not to touch her again ..

Arun nodded and clears his throat to talk to her " I .. I am sorry.. sorry I won't touch you here after ..and ..and please don't break our .. I.. I mean ..you.. your .. your friendship with others ,it..it will hurt them... please don't punish them .. for..my ..my mistake ( he cries more as he himself addresses his love a mistake ) .. I won't tell anything about this to them and will .. will not interfere in your.. your life ever.. please continue your friendship .. I swear .. please.. and one more thing I am not what you are thinking... you can go now... and please think once again before calling off the friendship..." Priya went from there after hearing him , he turns back to see her who was going as if nothing has happened here ..

Arun turned towards the Rose and bent down to take it , he took that flower by holding it's stalk and as the flower was broken the stalk was unable to hold it's weigh and it was going to fall down breaking into two but Arun holds it from falling , he thinks he too want someone to hold him from falling down but there was no one , he took the rose and caressed it smoothly then put it in his pocket as a rememberance of his ' mistake ' ...

he looked up into the sky controlling his tears and that is when his friends came to him when they saw him alone , he wiped his tears and tried to behave normal and turned towards them..they were looking at him with anticipation and was expecting yes but there face fell when Arun nodded no.. they were literally having tears seeing his pale face , Priya was the first girl whom Arun had crush and also loved , it was so heartbreaking for them as their best friend's first love got failed..

Ankit : why ..he asked in a low voice..

Arun : uhh .. nothing just she treats me as friend and I thought more than that ..uhh..she ..she doesn't have the feeling in the way which I have towards her ( her words " cheap , filthy minded who just wants girls on there bed tell me which number I am for you " were ringing in his ears breaking his heart ) it was my mistake I thought in that way.. leave it guys let's go , class is going to start...he tries not to make any eye contact with them so that they can know he is telling lie , he didn't want them to know what really happened there which will eventually make them to hate Priya ..

They were confused about what should they really do as they have not expected the rejection but it happened..they just nodded and moved from there to class behind Arun..

When they were going Arun was thinking about her accusions which she made to him , for a while he himself was unable to configure about what she said and he questions himself " am I really that much bad.." tears again formed in his eyes on this mere thought but he controlled it , in middle they met prem who stopped them , Arun nodded to everyone almost ordering not to tell anything about this to him and they agreed 

Prem went near Arun and asks " Arun are you ok.. " 

Arun : yes sir ...he replies without making any eye contact with him

Prem handed the books to Ankit which he was holding and then hugged Arun surprising everyone present there ..

Prem : are you sure Arun because you called me sir by yourself instead of bhaiya which is impossible..

Everyone were amazed to see how prem understood his brother well but it was normal for Arun he knows it will come , Arun hugged him tightly as he needed a support to handle himself and his brother is strong enough to hold him from falling down ..

Prem : you ok naa..

Arun leaned on his shoulder more and said " yes bhaiya I am fine " but his soul was crying ' I am not fine please help me , I can't take this anymore '

Prem hugging him more and stroking his back asks " you want to share something with me " 

Arun nodded no still being on his shoulder  a tear fell from arun's eyes on prem's shoulder and as prem was wearing Blazer it got absorbed by the fibre without leaving any trace of it and was unnoticed by prem that he is crying , prem patted his back for sometime until Arun himself broke the hug , 

Prem : want to go home ...he asked looking into his eyes Which were slightly red but was now reflecting a soothness and calmness which makes him to believe he is ok now..

Arun nodded no and gave smile as note of thanks to handle him when he really needed someone..

Prem : ok then go to class , let me know if you need anything ..( prem pauses little then continues ) even me..

Everyone smiled including Arun on his last word ' even me ' all were looking at prem in little shock except Arun thinking " is he the same ' Mr khadoos ' or anyone else ..", Arun nodded and then he went to class , Arun was failed to get his love but at least Priya still was ready to be friend which was a relief to him and after that he neither crosses his limits of being friend and nor interferes in her life  ...

As Arun remember about that day tears fell from his eyes thinking about her harsh words he immediately wipes that off which was noticed by Ankit ...

Ankit : Arun when you love her this much then why can't you try once again..

Arun : she doesn't loves me and I don't want to force her I..

That is when Arun was called for receiving an award for being a topper in the class..he went to take wiping his tears because the award was presented by his own dad so he doesn't want him to know his state , he took the award and touches his feet for blessing and then he moved from there before his dad could look into his eyes and caught the tears which was daring to fall anytime and he have to hide it from them his dad and his bhaiya it's easy to hide anything from dad but bhaiya he caught me up Everytime don't know how he got know just looking at my face , does my face shows everything and if yes then why is she not able to see that I love her ... I really do I want her beside me through out my life not just on my bed , his chain of thoughts were broken when he was given a mike he took the Mike and prepared himself to speak without sounding weak and let anyone know about his internal fight which he is losing almost everyday. 

There is a rule that topper should share his way of working and answer the questions of other students regarding what should they do to get marks...he was genuinely answering all questions and that is when one student asks " Is there anyone who can break the rule made by prem sir.." making everyone chuckle and prem rolled his eyes and looked at Arun to know what he says...

Arun : no..no one .. infact dad is also afraid from him right dad ..he asks looking at jamanlal and he nodded in yes accepting he is also afraid of prem  shocking everyone that he has not left his dad also. Prem looked at jamanlal raising his eyebrows and that's enough for anyone to get scared and he suddenly nodded no making the whole people to giggle..

Prem : that's Enough back to your seat ...he said in stern voice the hall became pin drop silence and Arun ran from there before prem does something and Amidst that he let that tear to fall down which he was holding from long when he reached his row having a look on Priya he sat beside Ankit sharing a smile which was fake and luckily Ankit couldn't configure it out , in between a student who was on back bench won the game and shouted " yeyyyyy finally I won .. winner winner chicken dinner ..." Gaining everyone's attention , when he realized what he did he looked at everyone who were looking at him with horror and to prem alternately even his Dean too and when he saw prem who was glaring at him his mobile fell from his hand in fear he immediately went behind the seats hiding himself from Prem , everyone were looking at the scene stopping there breath as prem started moving towards him ...

Arun : now he is gone..he whispers but it was audible to the students who were near him and they nodded yes

Prem went there held his hand and take him out then made him sit on the seat adjusted his collar then took his mobile from the floor and said " after this meet me in my cabin else I will meet you at your house ok ." Prem flashes a smile and tapped his cheeks slightly making his eyes popped out then putting his mobile in pocket prem moves from there almost taking his life with him ...

The event was near it's end Dean took the Mike to let students Know about their plans for next year , he told some of them then told..

Dean : your prem sir has prepared a report about what's the status of the companies , vacancies in the country as you all will be entering into the last year and after that will be searching for the companies to join so here he is with the list of best companies and will make you understand about how should you work to be on the top and make our college proud and for that you have to choose the company now not at the end of the year in which you wanna join or if want to become an entrepreneur then just let him know he will mould you to be at that position... Dean asks prem to proceed.

Prem nodded and went to vishakha and asked for the CD which he has asked to keep with her..

Vishakha immediately took priya's bag and started finding the CD to give to prem without delaying which may make him angry , she looked into the bag but was not able to find it for sometime and in all this Priya was looking at her bag stopping her breath and praying that she shouldn't see that so she asked vishakha " give me , I will see.." 

Vishakha nodded and was about to give her but she saw a CD kept in an isolated pocket in last chain , she thought it will be the one as why will Priya carry a CD so she took that and gave to prem then returned her bag...

Priya also didn't noticed that which CD vishakha has given to him and was sitting hugging her bag tightly , prem went to stage and took the CD out from its cover and put into DVD player connected with a big screen that is when Priya noticed the cover and horror striked her face when she identifies it's her CD not the one which prem has given , this means both the CD got exchanged, she hurriedly opened her bag and was breathing heavily thinking if it really got exchanged then , she looked into that isolated pocket which was empty and she realized that CD which was going to be played is hers ...she started shivering , tears started scrolling down her eyes she stands up in fear thinking about the consequence and screamed on her top of voice " stoppppp...." Everyone looked at her with confusion and prem too looked at her but it was too late and the content started playing taking everyone's attention from Priya to screen....
