Part 8 - The Truth Behind the Disappearance

Three days later...

The entire country was talking about only one person.

Maya Roy.

Every news channel debated her mysterious disappearance.

Some believed she had been kidnapped.

Others suspected that her business rivals were behind it.

Soon...

The media turned its attention towards Rudra.

People began questioning whether their marriage had really been as perfect as it looked.

Inspector Arvind once again called Rudra for questioning.

Inspector Arvind: "Mr. Roy, we searched your wife's office."

Rudra: "Did you find anything?"

The inspector placed a diary on the table.

Inspector: "It belonged to Maya."

Rudra slowly opened it.

The first few pages were filled with happy memories of their married life.

Then the tone changed.

Maya had written that someone was trying to destroy her marriage and create misunderstandings between her and Rudra.

She also wrote that she had decided to protect her marriage at any cost.

However...

She never mentioned the person's name.

Inspector Arvind: "Did Maya ever tell you she felt threatened?"

Rudra: "No... she never wanted me to worry."

The inspector remained silent.

Meanwhile...

Aditya met Inspector Arvind privately.

He handed him a pen drive.

Aditya: "Sir, these are CCTV recordings from Maya's office and residence."

The inspector carefully watched the footage.

Several clips showed Ananya secretly visiting Maya's office even when Maya wasn't there.

Nothing illegal was visible...

But her repeated visits raised suspicion.

The police summoned Ananya to the station.

Inspector Arvind: "Why were you visiting Maya's office repeatedly?"

Ananya: "I wanted to meet my sister."

Inspector: "Then why didn't you inform anyone?"

Ananya lowered her eyes.

Ananya: "After everything that happened... I didn't think she would agree to meet me."

The inspector noticed the hesitation in her voice.

There wasn't enough evidence against her.

Still...

Something didn't feel right.

Outside the police station...

Dozens of reporters surrounded Ananya.

Reporter: "Were you jealous of Maya?"

Reporter: "Is it true that you loved Rudra?"

Reporter: "Do you know where Maya is?"

Flashes from cameras blinded her.

People who once sympathized with Ananya now looked at her with suspicion.

For the first time...

She experienced how painful public judgment could be.

Back at Roy Mansion...

Rudra entered Maya's study.

Every corner of the room reminded him of her.

While cleaning the bookshelf, he accidentally discovered a hidden locker behind it.

Inside were a flash drive and a sealed envelope.

The envelope read...

"For Rudra... Open only if I disappear."

His hands trembled as he unfolded the letter.

"Rudra, if you are reading this, please trust me. I haven't disappeared because I wanted to leave you. I did it because someone has been trying to break our marriage for months. I needed that person to believe I was gone so the truth would finally come out. Forgive me for the pain this has caused you. I promise... I will come back."

Tears rolled down Rudra's cheeks.

He kissed the letter.

Rudra: "Wherever you are... I'll wait for you."

Just then...

His phone rang.

The number was unknown.

He answered immediately.

There was complete silence.

Then he heard a familiar whisper.

Maya: "Rudra..."

His eyes filled with hope.

Rudra: "Maya! Where are you?"

Maya: "I'm safe... but don't try to find me yet. The truth is very close."

Before Rudra could ask another question...

The call disconnected.

At an isolated cottage on the outskirts of the city...

Maya switched off the phone.

She looked at the newspaper carrying her own missing-person photograph.

She whispered to herself,

"One last move... and the truth will reveal itself."

Unknown to everyone...

Ananya was slowly walking into a trap created not out of revenge...

But to expose the lies that had poisoned an entire family.
