How did Geet get to know Maan better?

Geet stayed in Dadi’s room at the OH…

Geet read Dadi’s diary…

Geet got to know about Maan’s past and his real mother…

Maan’s mother and Madan’s first wife Sheetal had a very disturbing relationship with her husband and they have another son Karan, Maan’s elder brother….

Karan is seven years elder to Maan….

When Sheetal conceived with Maan, her relationship with Madan turned from bad to really ugly….

Sheetal went and stayed in a separate rented house with her son Karan….

When the time of the delivery approached, Savithri Devi khurana, Maan’s dadima, pleaded her son to go and bring her daughter in law back before the delivery…..

Madan went to meet Sheetal… he apologized for whatever happened between them and begged her to come home for the sake of Karan and the unborn child….

Sheetal came back and stayed with Madan then….

Maan was born and they started to finally Co-exist without much interactions for the sake of their children…

Once again Sheetal started her career as a Interior designer …

She left one year old Maan under the nanny’s care and started going to work….

Madan had always problems with her working without caring for the family….

Trouble started again in the khurana family….

They started fighting whenever they were at home together….

Dadima was fed up with their constant fighting which had a very bad effect on the toddler Maan… Karan was sent to the boarding school already…

Maan was just a 3 year old, who didn’t understand why his parents were always shouting at each other….

Dadima gave up all hopes to see her son live happily with his wife and children….

She finally agreed for their divorce that Sheetal always wanted….

Karan wished to go with his mother and Sheetal took Karan along with her, while Maan was left in the custody of his father….

The two of them just vanished from Maan’s life and he never ever heard anything from them….

Maan had little respect for his mother but he was hurt that even his elder brother didn’t try to contact him and know about his well being…

Dadi mentioned in the diary that they had left the country and went to Europe along with Sheetal’s boyfriend, whom she might have married…

Maan did get the care and love of Pummy which was again snatched from him due to his Dadi’s selfishness…

Had Dadi accepted her grandchild from Pummy without any ego, then Maan would have not lost faith in relationships totally…

Everyone in the Khurana family were selfish and egoistic, they made Maan’s life hell as they all thought only about their ego and never cared about the adverse effects that their nasty decisions had on little Maan’s tender heart… they turned Maan cold hearted…

Maan turned his heart into a stone just to protect it from further damage….

He lost faith in love, for even his mother betrayed him….

Geet got interest in Maan’s personal life and wanted to know if there is any emotions left in Maan’s life ….

Geet could see that Maan is not devoid of emotions, he is on this mission to protect his little sister from this merciless selfish world ….

Maan did everything to keep his Annie happy and guard her innocent pure heart from any heart breaks…

Unfortunately he could not be Annie’s saviour, as he wished to be, he failed to save her from this failed marriage…

Maan is frustrated that he could not bring back the smile of his Annie…

That’s why he is ready to go to any extent to see his Annie happy….

What really impressed Geet is the fact that Maan is not ready to hurt Geet for the sake of Annie…

He knows that Geet’s family is responsible for Annie’s miseries…

He knows that Vicky betrayed his Annie and left Riya to grow up without knowing her father …

Maan grew up without mother’s love, and Riya without Papa’s love…

In spite of all this Maan knows that Geet is another Annie, innocent young lady with a golden heart…

Maan wants to protect her innocence and that selfless heart of her’s…

Maan is always cautious not to hurt Geet in any way, neither at present nor in the future….

He knows that his every move will have a lot of impact on Geet…

Maan has put this immunity shield for Geet…. It makes sure that he doesn’t get past that shield even without his knowledge, he can’t use his anger as his shield for that would hurt Geet, so he is using his robot shield, no I’m not a human as you might mistakenly think….

His Funda is ‘I don’t expect anything from you, likewise you shouldn’t expect anything from me’…

Geet understands that something is definitely wrong with MSK, but she is shocked to find out that something is wrong with her too ….

Else she won’t be interested in MSK, the most boring person on this world…

The law, ‘Every action has an equal and opposite reaction’, doesn’t apply for Maan…

For Maan, every action has the same reaction, no matter what it might be, Maan reacts with the same cold face…

The only time Geet saw any kind of emotion was, when he got angry with Geet when Riya fell in the pool….

Geet has seen his anger a lot before this wedding, but that’s different, now that Geet is here to help Annie, Maan has been very nice to her, not once did he get angry, no matter how naughty Geet was..

Otherwise, whatever Geet did, Maan responded with the same expressionless face, as if his face is made with paper… like a paper mask… it remains the same no matter what…

Geet started to keenly observe Maan for any emotions that surface at least like an involuntary reflex..

Geet found out that Maan smiles along Riya ..

Maan can smile… so what? that’s not something new, everybody smiles, haina?

But the shocking revelation is that this man cries….

Yes, Geet is the witness to that tear that dropped from MSK’s very own eyes…

Geet got to see the other side of the MSK soon after their wedding….

Once Geet and Maan were waiting in the car at a signal…

It was a busy signal and they had to wait for more than 10 minutes .

At that place a woman came to beg carrying a little girl, about Riya’s age…

The woman was creating sympathy by saying that her child was starving for three days..

Everybody knew that it was a lie…

Geet was thinking about that poor woman who was forced to beg…

Geet pitied that the woman must surely be betrayed by some thug…

Maan’s eyes were only on that little girl…

That girl looked pathetic, with a messy hair, shabhy clothes that have never been washed, dirty face with the marks of the cotton candy that the girl last ate…

That poor girl was looking at the other kids wearing colorful neat clothes, playing on their mother’s lap…….

The mother was combing her daughter’s hair that was already looking good… Her eyes were yearning for something, not for the riches but for the love and care….

Maan can’t stop watching that girl, his eyes moisten automatically….

Geet didn’t expect to see something like that…

Geet kept quiet for she thought Maan is missing his mother…

Maan: how could a mother use her child for begging?

Geet: that’s so unfortunate, poor woman

Maan: no, unfortunate is that child

Geet: maybe

Maan: that woman doesn’t care, she could have better left the girl in some ashram

Geet: who knows if that’s her girl or not? It’s all business

Maan: aajkal Mamta bhi bigrahi hai, to hell with maa and mamta, what about the girl? What did she do to deserve this?

Geet: she’s just a kid, how would she know anything?

Maan: kids do have feelings Geet

Maybe Maan is talking about his childhood….

That’s when Geet saw the tears…

Maan didn’t try to hide his tears… and he is not ashamed to open up in front of Geet…

Geet is someone who understands others feelings and is always ready to share their burden..

Be it Nakul or Ramu kaka, or any stranger like the Pani puri wala, within minutes Geet gets them to open up, the way she owns them as one among her folks, the way she talks them to pour their heart out like magic, no one is spared, not even Maan…

Geet: I know, babaji, ye app bahut galat kar rahe ho, why should kids be punished for the parents wrong doings?

Geet is looking up and speaking to her babaji as usual…

Maan has seen her doing this often….

Maan: there is no babaji Geet

Geet: babaji hai, if you believe that HE is there then He is definitely there for you, but if you don’t believe in HIM then it’s not HIS fault, haina?

Maan is always amused by Geet’s logics… she has her own way of looking at life…

Maan: babaji ho ya nahi ho, kya farak padta? HE must be blind

Geet: nahi, HE watches everyone, we are all his children, whenever a door closes HE opens another one for us

Geet is now talking about Pummy….

Maan understands that…

He remains silent, he has no answer for that…

Geet: people are only blind not to see that

Maan knows that Geet is only pointing out him ..

Maan can’t argue now, she has a good point…

Maan: how could you keep talking like this non stop Geet?

Geet: try asking babaji

Maan: babaji is all yours Geet

Geet: babaji is everyone’s , babaji will definitely answer you

Maan: maybe HE sent you to answer me instead

Geet: I’m happy if I have helped you in anyway, have I?

Maan: I don’t know, but I got to ask someone the questions that were in my mind for years

Geet: did you get your answers?

Maan: not really, but you have helped me get those questions off my mind, I think they won’t haunt me anymore

Geet: if you have any more questions feel free to ask me Maan, “Geet babaji” is always there for you Maan: “Geet babaji” ki jai

Geet laughs and Maan is happy to just watch Geet laughing…

Maan might be the Ironman for the world but he is vulnerable in front of Geet….

But has Geet’s presence affected MSK too?

Yes, it is a totally different experience for Maan too…

Geet unknowingly crossed all the boundaries that Maan had set for himself and effortlessly invaded Maan’s private space that no one ever dared to enter, including his previlaged sister Annie …

Let’s see how Geet Handa tortured Maan Singh Khurana in the few days that she stayed with him….

After Geet got to read Dadi’s diary and found out about Maan’s unfortunate childhood, she couldn’t stop thinking about Maan….

Geet felt that Maan has been too lonely for so long that it turned him inhuman, Maan badly needs some company to revive his human instincts…

After a couple of days….

Geet decided that it’s time for her to exercise her rights as Mrs. MSK…

Geet goes and sleeps in Maan’s room that night….

Maan comes and finds her sleeping in his bed… Maan takes his night suit and goes to Dadi’s room ..

Geet goes there and knocks ..

Maan is annoyed….

What does she want to do?

Maan: it’s ok, you go sleep there itself, good night Geet Geet: good night? I can’t sleep alone, come and sleep with me

Maan: what?

Geet: jab se Dadi ki diary padi mujhe har jagah Dadi hi nazar aathi, woh mujhe kehthi rehti hai ki unke pothe ko mein akhele nahi chodoon, warna woh mujhe akhele nahi chodenge

Maan: what? Where did you get that?

Geet: from Dadi’s room only

Maan: but how could you read someone’s personal dairy without their permission?

Geet: I got her permission

Maan: what?

Geet: she came in my dreams and asked me to read the dairy hidden in her iron chest

Maan: Geeeeeet

Maan sochta hai, ye kya nayi musibat hai Dadima?

Meine aapse kab complaint Kiya ki mein akhela hoon?

“Maan bete, hum aap ki har zaroorat janthe hai, kyunki hum aap ki Dadi hai”

Maan hears Dadi’s voice….

Geet: suna app ne?

Maan: kya?

Geet: Dadi abhi bhi mujhse wahi baat kar rahi hai

Maan thinks that he has also turned crazy after staying with Geet….

Maan: tum jao, mein aatha hoon

Geet won’t leave without Maan….

Maan had to go with her…

Geet goes to the right side of the bed…

Maan stops her…

Maan: you take that side

Because it’s Maan’s side of the bed….

Geet goes to the left side….

Geet falls asleep soon…

Maan couldn’t sleep as he feels different sleeping beside someone, sharing his bed with someone, not because it’s a girl, but any human being for that matter…

Even Riya has never slept here in this room with Maan…

The feeling of not being alone is something Maan has forgotten, he can’t understand if he is happy or not….

Its just a beginning, Maan has to get used to many normal things like other normal people….
