The untouchable Singhaniya
The Untouchable Singhaniya
The vast LED screen glowed across the boardroom , graphs and projection sliding seamlessly as one of the senior executives presented the project's framework. Number, risks ,margins everything was being dissected with clinical precision. From the outer corner of his eyes , Yuvraaj , Prithvi’s executive assistant , noticed something …was off .
Even though Prithvi was present—physically . But his mind was somewhere far removed from the balance sheet and feasibility chart . His body language spoke a different story . A subtle , almost dangerous playfulness dancing across his lips , the kind that didn't belong in a boardroom worth thousands of crores. His eyes were usually sharp, intimidating , and today held an irresistible softness, as if they were seeing something no one else in the room could . And his fingers tapped his pen rhythmically against the note pad , however there was no hint of annoyance in his features.
The discussion grew intense. Senior executives began questioning the presenter— probing every possible loophole, dissecting each pros and cons. The atmosphere gradually sharpened, voices overlapping, stakes high.
Then—
Samrat ,the COO , his deep voice pierced the thick air .
“Mr, Singhaniya,”he asked calmly, turning towards Prithvi.” What's your take on the risk exposure in phase two ?”
Silence.
Every eye turned on Prithvi.
Prithvi blinked...once .
He returned from his deep thoughts.
Noticed each pair of eyes in the room transfixed on him.
Prithvi straightened, his expression neutralising instantly.
“For a moment ,” he said calmly, “ could you repeat that?”
A faint smirk curved someone’s lips.
Vardhan Singhaniya.
“ Well , “ Vardhan drawled , clasping his fingers over the glass table , his smile sharpened and polished , “ Prithvi, if your mind is elsewhere today, perhaps you should excuse yourself. Some of us still believe boardrooms are places of focus, not …indulgence.”
Vardhan paused as if calculating and then said again “ At least then Mr. Sanjeev Singhania would be reminded who is truly capable of responsibilities…and who merely occupies a chair.”
Although the jibe was wrapped in silk, it was cut deeply .
This wasn’t sarcasm anymore.
This was jealousy, lack of validation.
Prithvi’s jaw tightened for a fraction of a second.
Just for a heartbeat.
He didn’t raise his voice. He didn’t smile. Prithvi was sitting exactly opposite to the screen, the position gave him full access to check on everyone. He merely turned towards Vardhan, his fingers lacing together , his gaze was calm and yet cold and lethal.
“ Interesting observation,"Prithvi said evenly , a subtle hint of humour laced in his tone , but his expression was dangerous “ but if occupying a chair was enough to define capability…”
His gaze flicked briefly to the presentation screen, then back.
“…we wouldn’t need results. Or leadership. ”
Silence stretched, slow and predatory, crawling through the meeting room.
Prithvi leaned back in his swivel chair , his voice polite on the surface , poisonous underneath.
“ Capabilities ..” he paused before speaking “ Is proven by outcomes not by seniority.”
Vardhan’s smile stiffened.
The words were professional, however the message was personal.
That line wasn’t for the board.
It was for him alone.
“And Indulgences,” he continued, voice steady, lethal in its restraint. “are only dangerous when someone lacks morality. And relevance doesn’t require constant reminders.”
“And Samrat,” Prithvi turned to the COO, seamlessly reclaiming control, “the Phase Two risk is mitigated if we restructure vendor liability. I’ll send the revised framework by evening.”
Prithvi didn’t look at Vardhan again. He didn’t need to.
The meeting moved on.
So, the same similar burn crawled into Vardhan’s chest .
And he hated it .
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
As the meeting has ended most of the executives have already dispersed. Prithvi was stepping into the private elevator lobby .
The doors were about to slide shut—
Someone had called him .
“ Still pretending you don't feed your ego by humiliating people?”
Prithvi froze , not from surprise, but recognition. He didn't turn. He didn't need to . He already knew who it was.
Vardhan’s footsteps , heavy, each step a drumbeat of suppressed rage. His voice was low but armour with bitterness, but a warning to Prithvi.
“ You enjoy it, “ Vardhan taunted , voice low but firm, “ Overpowering in the position like some benevolent king . Letting people believe that you're untouchable. Unbreakable .”
A faint , controlled chuckled curled Prithvi's lips. He finally turned , slowly and deliberately, letting his presence fill the corridor like a storm about to break.
“ Careful, Vardhan Bhaiya. “ he said , unwavering and measured “ Your frustration is starting to sound dangerously like entitlement.“
Vardhan’s jaw flexed, nostril flaring “ Dangerous , for those who think life handed them everything on a silver platter ,”he spat . “ For those born with privileges they haven't earned “
Prithvi leaned just slightly closer , his gaze locking on straight at Vardhan. “Silver platter? Perhaps. But even the richest gifts rot in unworthy hands. I don’t. That’s the difference.” he taunted back .
Vardhan's expression snapped , he stepped ahead “How dare you , Prithvi, I’m older than you,” he snapped. “Still you treated everyone like… like if they were beneath you !”
Prithvi met his gaze , steady, unflinching. “Stop feeding your discontent by accusing others. “ he said, jaw clenched . "Dadaji chose me . I didn't ask for it . I'm doing exactly what he willed me to do !”
Vardhan's eyes burned with contempt “ Because you know exactly how to flutter Dadaji,” he shot back . “You know where his weakness lies and so do you use it .”
Prithvi's expression turned icy “ Prithviraj Singhaniya’s doesn't flutter . It doesn't suit me . Dadaji give me a company …I make turned it into an Empire “
Prithvi turned to leave but Vardhan's voice cut through the air like a whip .
“ I too have given my time , hard work, sleepless nights ! patience everything !”
“And yet,” Prithvi's response was immediate but calm , “you’re still asking for validation.”
The words hit like a cut sharper than a knife on Vardhan's . His pride cracked , a silent fracture widening in the cold hallway.
“You snatch what's supposed to be someone else !”Vardhan hissed, stepping closer, every muscle became taut .
Prithvi leaned slightly closer, like a predator whispering in the ear of its challenger.
“No,” he said, voice low, controlled, undeniable. “I took hold of what I'm given—and I made it unstoppable.”
He took a step forward now, closing the distance just enough.
Vardhan’s eyes burned. “Don’t get too comfortable,” he muttered. “Power shifts.”
Prithvi's smirked dangerously
“It does,” he said. “That’s how I got here.”
The elevator doors slid open.
Prithvi stepped inside, pressing the button without breaking eye contact.
“And Vardhan?” he added, just before the doors closed.
“Next time you want a throne—earn it. Don’t announce your insecurity in a boardroom.”
The doors slid shut, leaving Vardhan alone in the corridor.
The doors slid shut, leaving Vardhan alone in the corridor. He stood clenched fists . His pride cracked and his hatred quietly took shape.
He , three years older than Prithvi. First born heir . Still below him . Still needing approval for even the smallest decision.
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
He’s younger.. he's here that's fine . But he got what is supposed to be mine . Dadaji .. he is always your favourite of you . Always . I’ve worked for years, also bled for this . Sacrifice my personal life . Not giving proper time to Ishnavi and Drhuven, my son . And yet …he struts in .
Prithvi, you think you're smart , better than me , you pretended to be standing calm as a mountain in the middle of a hurricane. As if no-one dared to touch you , let you bow down. Yet..Why would I be the victim who will be under control . But ..not now…
Vardhan clenched his fists harder, nail print dug deep into his hand heels, the boardroom confrontation flash before his eyes burning his vision , imagining Prithvi’s smug, controlled smile. His teeth ground together.
Next time… next time, I’ll remind him… I’ll take back what’s mine. You won’t get away with this forever.

Meanwhile, inside the elevator, Prithvi's mind was a whirlwind of calculation, his composure slightly shifted yet his presence carried the weight of command.
“ Vardhan Bhaiya…he thinks I snatched his right,...but I was never the one who asked for it . Dadaji trusts me. I'm just doing what he demands from me .
After Dad was gone …,the fear I saw in Dadaji’s eyes still haunts me . And I promise him I won't disappoint him . I'll break but I won't let his pride be smashed.
His jaw tightened.
Vardhan Bhaiya…he'll simmer for a while , let his ego go fester . Frustration turns men into astray. Predictable.
He has to realise there is “no mine” in business, everything is all about “us” . The empire survives only if we do.
Prithvi exhaled slow breaths.
This Empire isn't built on inheritance…it's built on strategy, on decisions no one else dares to make. He can cry nepotism all he wants , but results speak louder than bloodlines.
The elevator door slid open.
Prithvi stepped out , his footsteps were brisk , controlled and purposeful . The echo of his polished shoes on the marble floor is a firm reminder that this space obeyed him.
As he banked at the corner near his cabin, he almost collided with someone.
Kanika.
One of the senior project leads .
Kanika’s eyes widened instinctively, then softened, a glint of awe etched on her face. She controlled her posture at once , maintaining professionalism into place , however her heart was on marathon.
“Oh God, what..what if he heard it?”
She had admired him quietly for over a year . From a distance. Safely. Every time he passed by , she felt her heart leapt .
“Oh! Excuse me, “ she blurted, her mouth shut immediately then parted her lips , whispering in low voice “ I..I mean sorry, Sir ”
Kanika swallowed some nervous breath .
Prithvi didn’t pause. Not his bother to care for. He inclined his head ever so slightly, muttered politely “Excuse me,”
…and moved on.
Kanika stood there as it was, watching him go ,“Oh God!....why is this man so irresistibly handsome and intimidating . And worse…why is his indifference more tempting? “ she smiled faintly, almost bitterly .
She wished , hoping for this moment to happen differently . In her mind , she has stumbled ..then fallen ..and just about to hit the ground he would have caught her by the waist—their eyes held either captivate, just like in movies.
Her castle of fantasies shattered when reality hit her harder.
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
Prithviraj Singhaniya got married three months ago, the truth tore apart Kanika’s heart like a quiet wound that refused to heal .Yet she couldn't hold back her feelings for him . When she joined this office, her determination to learn her working skills was interrupted when curiosity had betrayed her motivation. She watched him everyday. Notice things none else did .
Her desire fueled when she learned of no rumours of girlfriends. No whisper of affairs, not even a casual hook up . No history of past girlfriends. For a while , she wondered , has he had an interest in men? but her doubt had dissolved very soon . There were no signs. No slips .
Only a disciplined man . Unbearablely hot as hell . His presence was magnetic.
She had heard about his wife once she came with him in the office . Kanika hadn't been there . The praise that followed burned more than absence ever could.
A perfect match.
Beauty and grace — both inside and out.
Kanika knew one truth with brutal clarity : she could never be the woman he married . But another thought , that forbidden and quite reckless, crept in anyway. Marriage didn't erase desire.
Men resisted women only until resistance was no longer required.
He was , fire .
And she..she was willing to burn ❤️🔥 .
She watched him disappear into his cabin.
Prithvi slid down into his swivel chair, as he leaned back against the soft cushion, slow breaths taking in and out of his lungs , as if he was exhaling , controlled , removing the ghost of allegations and making space to reach more oxygen to his brain . He drank water from the glass and kept it in its former place.
A knock shattered Prithvi's trance of thinking.
“Come in.”
Yuvraaj stepped inside, and stood straight on the opposite side of the wooden table. His eyes already narrowed with suspicion.
“ Boss,” he said casually, “ care to explain why you've been mentally unavailable since the morning?”
Prithvi's brow arched , nevertheless a hint of amusement flickered in his eyes. “ Unavailable?”
Yuvraaj smirked, clever, curious “ You've been blushing. Even during the board meeting. Repeatedly ”
He leaned slightly against the desk. “That’s not your usual reaction to balance sheets.
Prithvi looked up at Yuvraaj, and surprisingly he didn't snap back . Instead , his lips curved faintly, almost unconsciously.
“ Yuvi,” he said , voice relaxed , “ Told Shantanu to get my car ready. I'll be leaving for Kalyani Resort ⛵ by the evening ”
Yuvraaj froze.
Once.
Then twice.
“ Why, Sir?”
“ Sanj…I mean Sanyogita has been shooting for her new music video there ! ”
“You’re hopeless, boss,” he said under his breath. “ …You can buy even a small country but your heart is hosted by Madam..! I knew it” Yuvraaj’s grin widened .
He turned to leave. “Yes, Boss. And… good luck surviving Madam.”
The door closed.
For a moment, Prithvi's eyes softened, a faint , almost reluctant smile occupied his lips and took him away. The cold, untouchable, irresistible CEO was …distracted.
Distracted by one woman.
By his wife .
Sanyogita’s face flush before Prithvi's eyes. The way her mouth opens, her cheeks flush , the dangerous glint in her eyes when he teased her just enough to look straight on to him without blinking.
The curl of her lips. The dangerous glint in her eyes when he teased her just enough to make her snap.
It was ridiculous how even a fleeting thought of her made his heart beat faster.
Wild angry “little fox” he thought, almost smiling to himself.
For the first time that day, the war outside his cabin no longer mattered.
