Part 36 A -

Tum hi ho sequence

Present -

They were still swaying to music when Shilpa pulled backa a little. She stared at Armaan, a contented expression awash on her face. She gave him a small smile, feeling the love flowing between them. She lowered her gaze, as if in deep thought.

"I... I" she stuttered.

Armaan put his finger on her lip, stopping her from saying anything, when he felt her hesitation.

"I know..." he bent towards her and she held onto his shirt as he slowly brought their bodies closer. "I... Love..." he whispered in her ears.

Shilpa blushed, unable to look him in the eye. Armaan smiled at her gesture, but he wanted her to look at him when he said that. He tightened the arm he had around her waist, pulling her into him, and she gasped and looked up at him. He gave her a triumphant smile and said

"You..." against her lips.

She closed her eyes, basking in the feeling of being loved by Armaan, tear escaped from her eye. Her grip on his collar tightened, mirroring the riot of emotions flowing through her. She opened her eyes, and looked at him.

"Ab tumhari baari..." Armaan said.

Shilpa looked at him and smiled. "I..." she lowered her gaze. "I... love...you..." she finished and looked up at him. Her eyes reflected her love for him.

Armaan felt complete. He had been so scared.. will he ever hold her close again, will she ever ove him back? What if he lost for ever? All the questions were now mute... She was his again. He'd do anything to keep her right there, in his arms. He could see the intensity of emotions in her eyes.

"Obviously! How can you not love me Shona?" Armaan gloated.

Shilpa gasped and said in mock-anger "Don't you get cocky!"

Armaan sniggered and pulled her close, their faces a few breaths apart, which efficiently shut her up.

"I am never losing you again! I forbid you to lose your self again!" he said vehemently.

He hugged her close, feeling one with her again. She wrapped her hand around his neck too.

Armaan smiled a satisfied smile and crooned into her neck. "Atlast..."

Her scent surrounded him, a light flowery scent that was as striking as it was addictive. And he was getting drunk on it. He lightly pressed his lips to her neck, giving her a tiniest of a kiss and she shivered. He smiled and pressed another kiss right below the previous one and she leaned into him, whispering his name. Relishing his name on her lips, he filed her response to his action for future reference in his mind. They heard a car honking in distance. Suddenly realising that they were still on the road, and with great difficulty he pulled back.

They talked about anything and everything, walking back to Sid's place. Everyone was waiting for them.

When they entered the hall, the rest of the gang was playing Scrabble, but everyone stopped and looked at the new couple expectantly. Riddhima looked at their happy faces and knew. She raised an eyebrow to Shilpa and she blushed and nodded. Riddhima shriekedin happiness and Armaan and Shilpa were soon drowned in hugs and kisses from the most important and closest family they had.

After some time, the girls were in the kitchen and the guys were haning out in the hall -

"I had no idea wedding planning includes all of this - from booking hotels to booking caterers to deciding the menus to inviting guest down right to planning for shoes shopping!!! If I had any idea I would not have volunteered!!" Rahul exclaimed.

Sid and Armaan chuckled. "Beta ye toh kuch bhi nahi hai" sid said.

"Seriously Sid! How did you handle it?" Rahul pouted. "Even if the littlest of the things is not according to her plan, Muskaan freaks out. And I mean totally-out-of-your-mind freak out, not your normal nervousness! Was it the same with Riddhima?"

"It was worse dude! I can completely understand your condition. Yeh ladkiyan na, pata nahi kab kis baat par dimag kharab kar lengi! Do you know Riddhima cried over a bunch of flowers that were not available for our wedding and Shilpa, she was actually consoling her! What the hell is that all about?"

"Oh man! Yeah! I was out with Muskaan for finalizing the menus for the event. After three hours of hard work and pull-my-hair-out frustrating discussions we finally agreed on the menu, only for Shilpa and Atul to come in and get Muskaan doubtful about it again. Armaan, you are going to have a field trip with yours, Shilpa's the worse of the lot! Itne nakhre hai madam ke!!"

Armaan looked up, a comic expression on his face. Sid laughed. "Seriously, Riddhima and Muskaan atleast had Shilpa to take care of the details for them, and we all agree, weddings are Shilpa's forte... you're screwed dude!" he chuckled.

Armaan frowned. "How did we get here?" he asked confused.

Rahul and Sid laughed out loud, just as the girls came in, with Riddhima carrying a tray with coffee.

"What you guys talking about?" Muskaan asked.

"Shilpa aur Armaan ki shaadi aur kya?" Rahul announced casually.

A stunned silence followed the statement. Riddhima widened her eyes and looked if Shilpa was in the room to hear this comment. Thankfully she was still in the kitchen getting the extra mugs. Sid smacked his head and Armaan glared at him.

"Are you crazy? Be thankful of the fact that Shilpa did not hear you, or you were dead met dude" Sid whispered, looked at Armaan in apprehension.

"But... Armaan yaar I am so sorry. I did not realize!" Rahul said.

Armaan was about to say something but Shilpa chose that moment to enter the room. She loked around and found everyone staring at her in dead silence.

She raised her eyebrows. "Do I have something on my face or did Armaan do something I should know about?" she asked casually.

Everybody but Armaan started laughing. Armaan then glared at her. "What the hell Bracelet?"

"What? Why else would everybody be staring at me and you have that scared look on your face?"

"So the only thing that you assume is that I did something?" Armaan mock argued. Everyone around them looked at them bicker, thoroughly amused by how such a romantic couple can be so clueless at times.

Soon everybody decided to retire to their places. Rahul and Muskaan left together. Atul and Anjali decided to pull Armaan's leg.

"Aah.. Shilpa... actually Anjali and I are planning to stop by at Papa's (Shashank's place where Shilpa is currently staying) place. We can drop you."

Shilpa lowered her eyes in apprehension. She really wanted to go with Armaan. There were so many things she wanted to tell him. Shilpa looked at Armaan, asking him what to do.

Armaan narrowed his eyes. What the hell? Ab yeh kya naya natak hai inka?

He looked at Shilpa and shook his head, indicating her to say no. she raised her eyes in nervoiusness and started to say something to Anjali. She looked at Anjali trying to come up with and excuse when Anjali winked at her. Shilpa raised her eyebrows, finally understanding the prank on Armaan.

"Ugh... Actually yeah... if you guys are going there, then it only makes sense for me to tag along with you guys..."

Armaan gawked at her. What is she doing? Now is the time she decides to use het brain and tell what logic dictates!

Atul and Riddhima grinned. Anjali could barely control her laughter

"But..." he tried to interrupt.

"What Armaan?" Atul asked

"But..." Armaan's face was a classic example of helplessness and oh-so adorable that Shilpa almost melted.

"Arre but kya? Aage bhi toh bol Armaan..." Sid teased. Armaan glared at him. Why am I friends woth this guy! Armaan wondered angrily and Anjali could not hold on any lonegr and burst out laughing with everyone else joining seconds later.

Armaan looked fro one to another not getting why everyone suddenly... When he looked at Shilpa and saw her give him a shy smile. He understood then and narrowed his eyes. "You too Shilpa!" he mouthed, nodding his head as if warning that she was so paying for this later.

He looked at Sid and Riddhima, and then Atul and Anjali. Everybody smiling at him, and he reddened in embarrassment.

"Don't worry Armaan. How can we deny you the pleasure of dropping Shilpa home on such an important day" Atul teased

Soon they all retired to their places.
