Part 20:
Suddenly shy, she pushed him back just before his lips could touch hers and hid her burning face in the croon of his neck. Armaan smiled and wrapped his arms around her.
"You know Shilpa' I am the luckiest guy in the entire world. I was so scared that you don't feel the same way about me' but I am grateful to God for this precious gift of love he has given me." Armaan said.
Shilpa smiled. "I still can't believe it. I think it'll take some time for it to seep in."
"Do you think we should tell everyone about it?"
"Umm' I think' Well, can we give this some time and see where it goes?" Shilpa asked, careful not to hurt him.
Armaan looked at her and smiled, his dimples peeking out. He realized how different she was from Riddhima. He understood her insecurities, because he had been there when in a relationship with Riddhima. He was so happy that he wanted to tell the whole world that shilpa was his now, but he also knew he had to give her time. She had to feel comfortable around him. He was there for her no matter what. "Shilpa I love you' you don't have to hesitate in front of me. When it comes to you, I am very sure about what I want but if you need some time, I am ready to wait for you as long as you want. As far as I am concerned, this is it for me. I know that I want you in my life beside me always."
Shilpa was touched by this. "How can you love me so much?" she whispered.
"How can I not?" Armaan replied as if it was the most natural thing in the world.
"Shilpa!! Armaan!! Kaha gaye dono? Beech mein koi sangeet chod kar jaata hai kya?" Muskaan was muttering.
Shilpa gasped. She disengaged herself from him and said "Armaan hamein neeche jaana chahiye. Sab hamein khoj rahe honge." And she turns around to climb down the stairs, only to be pulled back into his arms, her back hitting his chest.
"Kuch der aur. I have waited so long for this moment to come. Abhi thodi der pehle hi toh hum mile hain'" he whispered into her ears.
"Par Armaan'"
"No'" Armaan pouted like a kid. "I am not letting you go'" he was adamant but Shilpa wrestled herself out of his arms and headed towards the door when---
Abhi na jaao chod kar ke dil abhi bhara nahin -2
Abhi abhi to aayi hoo abhi abhi to
Armaan starts singing and walks towards to terrace railing.
Abhi abhi to aayi ho bahar banke chhayi ho
Hawa zara mahak to le nazar jara bahek to le
Ye shaam dhal to le zara ' 2
He turns around to face her.
Ye dil sambhal to le zara
Main thorhi der jee too lun nashe ke ghuunt pi to lun
Nash eke ghunt pi to lun abhi to kuchh kuchh kaha nahin
He extends his hand towards her, beckoning her to come to him and not leave just yet.
Abhi to kuchh suna nahin
Abhi na jaao chod kar ke dil abhi bhara nahin
Shilpa smiles at him and looks up towards the sky and starts walking towards him.
Sitaren jhil mila uthe... ' 2
Charag jagmaga uthe
She reaches him and stand beside him staring at the sky.
Bas ab na mujhko tokna... - 2
Na barhke raah rokna
She turns around to go when Armaan holds her wrist to stop her. She turns and shaking her head continues
Agar main ruk gayi abhi to jaa na paungi kabhi
Yehi kahoge tum sada ke dil abhi nahin bhara
Jo khatm ho kisi jaga ye aisa silsila nahin

Armaan moves to stop her but she runs down the stairs. Armaan reaches the top of the stairs and looks at shilpa walking towards the guests. She turns around to look at him. She smiles and winks at him.
"Haye!" Armaan whispers and starts climbing down the stairs.

After the ceremony, most of the guests had left. The entire gang Atul, Anjali, Muskaan, Rahul, Sid, Riddhima, Armaan and Shilpa were sitting in the hall, just chit chatting and pulling Sid and Riddhima's leg.
"So, Sid where are you guys going for your honeymoon?" Rahul asked.
Sid looked at Riddhima and grinned when he saw her blush deeply. "Kyun? Main kyun tum logon ko bata du? Kya honeymoon par bhi tum log hamara poeecha nahi chodoge kya? Waise even Riddhima doesn't know about the location'" he finished.
"Kya??" the girls screamed together.
"What? I trust him. Anyways I'll kill him if it isn't something exotic like Malaysia or London'"
"or Switzerland'" Muskaan added, a dreamy look on her eyes.
"or Rome" Anjali said
"or Paris" Shilpa sighed.
Armaan raised an eyebrow. Paris?? Interesting! He locked that piece of information for future reference.
"But di seriously! How can you not know where he's taking you? " Shilpa said.
"Haan yaar Ridzi! Haven't I taught you anything?" Anjali said.
"Thanks guys! Glad to know that you all have so much faith in me!" Sid added sarcastically.
Rahul, atul and Armaan laughed. "Take it from me dude' shaadi ke baad pehle biwi khoon chusti and baaki kasar Sali puri karti hai!" one of Sid's friends said.
"Kya kaha?" Anjali warned.
"I don't care what you say, but my saalis are beautiful, chahe Anjali ho ya fir Shilpa? " Sid teased and looked at Armaan for the next part. " Kehte hai na Saali aadhi gharwali hoti hai!" he finished and Armaan narrowed his eyes as he glared at Sid. Armaan and Shilpa both look pretty relaxed so it seems like they have sorted out their issues. Thank god for that! I thought Armaan had spoiled everything.
"Yaar achha hua isne Muskaan ko us list mein nahi dala. I don't trust this guy. Riddhima sambhalo apne would be husband ko!!" rahul said and everybody burst out laughing.
And the masti went on until it was around twelve at night. Shashank and Padma soon joined them and they all went through the next day's schedule again.
"Now! Come on girls straight to bed' all four of you. Tomorrow is a busy day for all of us. We'll start for the hotel at nine in the morning after the chuda rasam. All of you should be ready and present here by sharp 7 in the morning for the rasam."
"But- aunty abhi abhi toh mehfil jami hai'"
"Koi mehfil nahi Armaan' tum sab bhi chalo so jao! Subah mein tum sabko bhi yaha 7 baje aana hai!"
"Hamein? Hamara kya kaam aunty?" rahul asked.
Padma gave him the look and everybody got up and started moving towards their respective rooms. Sid, Rahul and Armaan were staying at Armaan's place, so they started moving towards the parking area.
Armaan turned around to find Shilpa standing at her room window looking at him. He looked around to check if anyone was looking and when it was safe, he gave her a flying kiss. Seeing this shilpa looked down and smiled waving him good bye.
On the other hand, Riddhima was waving Sid good bye as well. He looked at her and winked.

The next day was a busy one for everybody. All the girls were present on time for the chuda ceremony. The guys reached a little late. All of them were seated in the balcony having full view of everything that was going on. Armaan looked around for Shilpa but didn't find her. Rahul was on the other side of the room, flirting with Muskaan. Riddhima was sitting on a stool, ready for the rasam, when Sid approached her.
"Aaj toh tumhare chehre par alag sa glow madam' chakar kya hai Mrs.Modi??" he teased and Riddhima blushed.
"Uh-Uh" someone coughed from behind and the couple broke apart to reveal shilpa in a stunning blue dress.
Armaan chose that moment to turn around and was spell bound. He moved his gaze all over her, from her dark, silky hair to her beautiful, big cat-eyes, to her red rosy lips and through her soft curves till the tip of her sexy-as-hell stilettos.
"Kya ho raha hai Sid, or should I call you jiju? Aaj ka din hi hai, jo judaai mein kat na hai' Kal se toh di aapki hui' Jitna chahe utna romance kar lena' abhi meri di ko pareshan karna bandh karo.. chalo hato'" Shilpa said.
"Arre! Aise kaise?" Armaan interrupted.
Seeing Armaan, Shilpa suddenly felt shy. She lowered her eyes and had a soft smile playing around her lips. Armaan saw her expression and sighed' when suddenly Padma called her for something.
"Haye.. Shona agar aise hi sharmaogi toh main toh mar jaunga'" Armaan whispered to himself.
"Okay girls' let's start the ceremony. Padma aao, Riddhima ki aarti utaro'" Nani prompted.
"Ji Maa"
Padma came towards where Riddhima was sitting. She did Riddhima's tilak and aarti and then Anjali and Muskaan both tied the chudas to Riddhima's bangles.
"Ab tum dono waha baith jao baki ladkiyon ke saath' According to the rasam, when Riddhima rubs her bangles together, the girl on whose head the chuda falls, she'll get married next!!! Dekhte hai who's next?"
Muskaan and Anjali went and sat with the others. All the girls were now sitting in a line except Shilpa who was sitting a little far off.
"Shilpa! Yaha baitho' What are you doing so far off?" Riddhima said.
"Sorry di! I have no intention of marrying just yet. So you can carry on with this one without me." Shilpa said waving the rasam off, to which Armaan had a very confused reaction.
"But-" Muskaan said.
"No Muskaan' Not this time'" Shilpa grinned.
Muskaan sighed. "Okay"
Riddhima started from one end. When she was near Muskaan one of chudas broke and fell on Muskaan's head. The entire crowd cheered and congratulated her. And she blushed and covered her face with her hands of happiness. His expression soon changed from a comically shocked one to the one of hope and happiness. And everybody laughed.
"Lagta hai agla bali ka bakra Rahul hoga!!" Atul said and everyone burst out laughing. Rahul looked at Muskaan and both shared a cute eyelock.
Riddhima soon continued with the rasam, moving her bangles on the remaining girls sitting when suddenly somebody passing by pushed her by mistake and the second chuda landed on the person sitting next to the last girl.
Yes, it was Shilpa. Shocked to find it on her head, she just didn't know how to react. Everybody started cheering and laughing.
"Beta' hehe You don't know what god plans for you' " Padma smiled at her and caressed Shilpa's head. Muskaan and Riddhima grinned.
"Lagta hai, koi toh bada chupa rustam hai'" Muskaan said and looked at Armaan.
Shilpa glanced at Armaan, searching for signs if he was upset. But when she looked at him, he just smiled at her. She relaxed and smiled back blushing furiously.
"Uh-Uh" Sid coughed looking at Shilpa and Armaan. They both shook themselves from the eye lock and looked here and there. Armaan warned Sid with his eyes and Sid lifted his hands in mock surrender.
Now that the rasam was done, everybody had to leave for the hotel where the wedding was going to take place. They all started getting their packed cases down to be loaded in the cars.
"Oh! I forgot to get my small hand bag from my room." Riddhima started to turn back towards the house when Shilpa stopped her and offered to get it for her. Shilpa climbed up the stairs and collected Riddhima's bag. She was walking through the lobby when someone grabbed her hand and pulled her into the adjoining room.
She gasped in surprise, when Armaan pushed the door close and pressed her against it.
"Armaan! Kya kar rahe ho?" she whispered.
"Shh' I have waiting to get alone for some time' but no such luck' Kitni busy rehti ho' Koi tumhe akela chodta hi nahi'" Armaan complained and Shilpa smiled at his pout.
She touched his cheek. "Kaise ho?"
Armaan turned his face to kiss her palm. "Tum mere saath ho, toh mujhe aur kya chahiye? So shaadi huh? Interesting!!" he teased.
She gasped softly and turned her face to hide her lovely face from his teasing scrutiny. Armaan grinned, showing off the cute dimples she was so in love with.
"Armaan' chedo nahi' Pata nahi kaise hua? Main toh--"
"Bhagwan ki marzi kea age kuch nahi darling--"
"Armaan!!" someone shouted interrupting their romance.
"Arre yaar' ab kaun hai'. Aise toh ho chukka romance!!" Armaan said irritated that their limited time together was about to get over.
Shilpa chuckled and took his hand in hers. "Chalo Armaan.. Sab hamein khoj rahein hai'" and pulled him out towards where everyone was.
