​Sr. Inspector Abhijeet, known for his intense approach, serves as the intellectual complement to Daya’s action-oriented temperament. His investigative specialization lies in detailed observation, tactical planning, and effective undercover operations, which often require a keen psychological understanding of the criminals. The depth of Abhijeet’s character is fundamentally tied to a dramatic narrative arc involving his history of amnesia. Before joining CID, he was a police officer who was kidnapped. When he was eventually found (25 years prior to a major flashback episode), he was unconscious, beaten, and suffering from total memory loss. This trauma occasionally resurfaces in the series, creating episodes of personal vulnerability that elevate the show from a standard procedural into a psychological drama. This vulnerability makes him deeply human and justifies the fierce protectiveness shown by his colleagues, particularly ACP Pradyuman and Daya. He is the main character in this story everyone else revolves around him. He is shown to have romantic interest in Dr. Tarika. Dr. Tarika is a forensic doctor who assists Dr. Salunkhe in the lab. In cid season 2, she wasn't present in the beginning but came in between and they showed that she was hurt that Abhijeet didn't contact her when she left cid. ​ACP Pradyuman, formally known as ACP Pradyuman Naik Satam , is the unequivocal leader of the Crime Investigation Department. His role transcends routine police work; he functions as the ultimate strategic mind, responsible for synthesizing complex evidence and guiding the team toward a solution. He often behaves as a paternal figure to Abhijeet

Sr. Inspector Daya is recognized as the physical anchor and action archetype of the CID team. He is Abhijeet's best friend going to any lengths to protect him.

Dr. R. P. Salunkhe is the head of the forensic department, a veteran scientist whose expertise in pathology, autopsies, and chemical analysis provides the unquestionable scientific foundation for the CID’s findings. His conclusions are often deemed irrefutable.

Sub-Inspector Purvi has consistently been depicted as a diligent, reliable, and highly professional officer in the field. ​Purvi's character development showcases the show's evolution in integrating female officers into high-action roles. She is recognized for her "badass energy," making her highly effective in operational scenarios

​Manisha is known as the wife of the charismatic Inspector Fredricks "Freddy". She represents the crucial, yet often unstable, link between the high-stakes world of law enforcement and the domestic lives of the officers. She is fondly called as Bhabhi by the team. In cid s2 they started saying Inspector Fredericks is no more. So she is a widow in this story

Shreya is Abhijeet's deaf and dumb daughter who was adopted by him. She was the daughter of a murder victim and her foster family were criminals and tried to make her do wrong things. Abhijeet adopted her officially after the foster family was caught.

Inspector Shreya is Daya's love interest. She works for secret service. She is a divorcee. She has a daughter out of her first marriage.
