PART 1

9 Months before the Marriage:

It's been a year and half, since Roshni was killed mercilessily in front of Arjun. As Rawte Mansion was filled with her memories, he was feeling suffocated to live in the mansion. His Dad and Mom was feeling so helpless seeing him like this. Hence they decided to have a talk with Arjun, after all they are his parents and have to do something about his life.

One Sunday, Arjun was at home as there was no case yet. All three were assembled at the dining table for breakfast and silently having their breakfast.

The signs , eye talk between his parents weren't unnoticed by Arjun. He kept quiet waiting for his parents to start the talk. When he finished his breakfast, he looked at his parents and took a deep sigh.

Arjun: Aai, baba , aap logon ko mujhse koi baat karna hai.

He could see his parents looking at each other and his dad said: kuch bhi toh nahiin, Arjun.

Arjun raises his eyebrows and says: kuch nahiin hain toh, yeh aap doon ke beech ishare basi kyu. Koi to baat hain jo aap dono mujhse puchna ya bataana chahatein hein.

Mom: kuch nahiin , bas yuhi, idhar udhar ki baatein.

Arjun: aap log jaantein hein na ki, aap dono mujhse kuch bhi share kar sakte hein. Toh bataayiye, baat kya hein.

Dad: humein pata hein ki tumhe iss ghar mein Roshni ki yaadein satate hein. Dhed saal ho gaye ab to. Abhi bhi tum ubhar nahiin paaye ho.

Arjun closes his eyes and tries to control his emotions.

Mom: humne socha tha ki waqt ke saath sab theek ho jaayega. Par dhed saal se kuch bhi nahiin badla. Tum aaj bhi wahi ke wahi atke hue ho. Toh humne socha hai ki ...

Arjun intervenes: aap log kehna kya chahatein hein? (Thinking, kahi yeh mere doosri shaadi, karane ki toh nahiin soch rahe hain. Magar, mein aisa nahiin kar sakta. Mein sirf or sirf Roshni se pyaar karta tha, hoon aur aisa hi rahega. Kisi aur se pyaar karne ke baare mein soch bhi nahi sakta)

Arjuns parents look at each other and calls out to Arjun. Getting no response from him and seeing him lost, Arjuns dad shakes him a bit.

Arjun comes out of his reverie feeling being shaken. He looks at his parents .

Dad: kya hua? Kahaan kho gaye? Toh tumne kya socha hai iss barein mein?

Arjun looks at his parents as he had no clue about what they said.

Arjun: Sorry Aai, Sorry Baba,. Aap kis baare mein baat kar rahe hein? Mera dhyaan nahiin tha.

Dad: yahi ki

Arjun looks at him dreading the worst.
