Chapter 6

Manvi's POV

"Virat where are we going," I asked as he held my hand. My eyes were blindfolded so I couldn't see a thing, I felt myself wobble a couple times but he caught on and held my back assuring me that I wouldn't fall. When he opened my eyes, my gaze fell on a beautiful mandir that was hidden behind a waterfall. It looked so beautiful that all I could do was stare at the sight in front of me. "chalo, let's go inside," he said dragging me behind him to the inside of the mandir. It was so beautiful inside too, the center had a big shiv ling with and the walls all had pictures of different gods decorated with flower necklaces. I smiled, "thank you Virat, it beautiful," I said still admiring the beauty of the place. I did a quick pooja and headed outside to enjoy the scenery and ran into him sitting by the waterfall. He smiled and held out his hand to help me climb over the rocks but I felt a lump in my stomach stopping me. I looked down and saw the water rushing down and shook my head in fear. "nnoo, Virat its ok, mein yehi rahungi, I will stay on this side," I said trying to avoid the water. Unfortunately he caught on quickly and came over to the other side, "Manvi, do you trust me?" he asked, his gaze pierced straight at me. I was lost in his eyes again and just nodded my head yes. He held out his hand again and helped me over the rocks and took me to where he was standing before. "auu, betho yaha pe," he said clearing a rock next to me. I hesitantly sat down and he settled down next to me on another rock. "are you still scared," he asked worried, he probably saw the expression I made looking down at the water below me, "mein hoon na, I won't let anything happen to you Manvi, its ok, all you have to do is enjoy, leave everything else up to me," he said gently as he held me by the waist, "do you feel better," he asked sensing that I was beginning to relax. I smiled and nodded my head but still held on to him, I didn't want him an inch away from me, his warmth was so intoxicating for me. "Virat this place is so beautiful, kitna sundar hai. It is so relaxing," I said admiring the beautiful view of the city in front of me. "pata hai, I used to come here every day when I was little, me and bhai used to come. We used to come and just spend hours playing games up here," he said still looking off in the distance. "We had so much in common, I thought you would like it," he said finally looking at me now. "ab dil ka ristha hai, toh obviously we will like similar things," I said trying to lighten the mood. He chuckled and hugged me, "you really are different Manvi, I haven't met anyone like you," he mumbled.

Virats POV

I didn't know what was happening to me but I felt so open with her. I had hid the fact that I came up here all these years but I felt like she understood me so well that she wouldn't judge me. I shook these feelings off and pulled away to see her blush, "Virat, can you do me a favor gana gau na," she asked pleadingly. I smiled looking at her dove shaped pleading eyes, they were so captivating, they were full of an innocence that I had never seen before.

I stood shocked as I heard the next lines to the song. She had such an amazing voice, it sounded like an angel singing. "Virat aage gau na, I just got so caught up in the song I didn't realize I started singing, sorry," she finally whispered.

I continued as I lifted her chin up. Lets finish the song together, I suggested and we continued.

I had never felt so happy so tension free in my life. I was always worried about one thing or another, studies the business, it was all so overwhelming and she made it so easy for me to relax in a moment. I tried to forget about leaving tomorrow and smiled taking in the time I had with her. "Manvi you know, you are really a faristha, you have such a good heart, and you are so good at everything. You know I never get time to relax like this and when I do I never know how to relax, and yet with you I relaxed in a matter of minutes. It's amazing that we have known each other for just a week or two and connect this much, we have so much in common" I finally said in a low voice. She smiled back at me, "raat hone wala hai, we should head back home," she said smiling at me picking up her duputta that was falling. I saw her look down at the water again, "kuch nahi hoga, mein hoon na," I whispered in her ear swiftly taking her across the water. Those couple of minutes of proximity took my breath away, and I sighed at the realization, and took us back home dreading the next day when I would leave her, how I wish I could go back in time when we were singing on the waterfall and just stay like that for a little longer.
