Chapter 1

The Night We Met
Part – 1
He stood by the window of his suite, staring at the moon rising from the clouds. He felt two hands slide across his bare chest. He took a deep breath and pushed her hands away coldly without turning back.
"Leave, and here is your money," he spoke in a rude tone, turning around. Without glancing at her even once, he moved towards the lamp table, took out a few pink notes, and flung them on the bed.
She collected her money and trailed her finger on his cheek. "If you want, I can come tonight for you again."
He slipped on his shirt and said very coldly, "I never sleep with the same girl again and again."
She got her answer. She collected her bag and other stuff before leaving his magnificent suite.
He sighed, putting on his sunglasses, picked up his car keys, and left the suite for his conference.
He started descending the stairs, tapping away on his phone. He heard some sound from the reception area. He quickly covered the last three steps and curiously walked near the reception area. He saw a girl with her back facing him, standing with folded hands and pleading to the manager. She was dressed in a red kurta set with her chiffon dupatta covering her upper portion perfectly, her curly brown hair flowing across her shoulder.
"Please help me with money. I promise I’ll repay your loan by giving some amount of my salary to you every month. I am in dire need of this amount. I need this to save my sister, please," she pleaded as tears streamed down her eyes. Her breathing was uneven as she was crying hoarsely. Her emotions were visible on her face as she was struggling to even stand on her feet. She had taken support of the desk to steady her steps as she could fall anytime.
"I am really sorry, Geet, but we don’t have a policy of giving loans to employees here in this hotel, but we all will help you with money from our end," the manager was kind enough to help her out of this situation by lending money personally.
Geet took a step back, flashing a teary smile to the manager and her colleagues. She turned around as her arms lifelessly clutched onto her dupatta. Her job was her last hope to arrange money for her only family member, her sister’s surgery. Her sister was in the last stage of cervical cancer. Their parents died in an accident two years back, leaving both sisters alone to live in this world. When they both were trying to cope with this incident, they got to know about her sister, Pari, being diagnosed with cancer.
Luckily, Geet was working as a convention center manager, which was paying her a pretty decent salary. But she had already exhausted all her savings, her parents’ money, and their FDs for Pari’s treatment. And now Pari needed a critical surgery to remove a malignant tumor from her body, for which she needed an amount of 25 lakhs, which she didn’t have right now. She only had a week to arrange the money as the surgery needed to be conducted by next week.
As she crossed Maan to walk out of the hotel, that’s when Maan saw her completely. Her eyes were filled with tears, her skin pure white with a silver nose pin pierced in her left nostril, and her lips bright red because of continuous crying. His gaze traveled down. She had a thin gold chain across her neck, and her dupatta was slipping off her shoulder as she was walking lifelessly without paying attention to her surroundings.
"She is beautiful," Maan thought, walking out of the lobby for his meeting. He was mesmerized by her beauty and was stepping out of the hotel lost in his thoughts. The valet was already there with his car at the entrance. He sat inside his matte black Porsche. He adjusted his rear mirror when he saw the same girl sitting on the pavement of the road, hiding her face in her palms, probably crying her eyes out on her failure to get money for her sister’s treatment.
"I’ll be back in a minute," he mumbled to his driver before stepping out of the back seat of his luxury car.
He walked towards Geet with slow steps as his lips curved into a smirk. He stood beside her, gazing at her from top to bottom, magically drawn to her beauty. He sighed, brushing his hair back as he knew he was getting attracted to her.
"Geet," he called out to her, raising his hand to her.
Geet heard her name being spoken by someone, and she took her palms off her face and lifted her eyes to look at the man who stood beside her with a sexy smile on his face, raising his hand out to her. She looked at him in confusion, trying to remember if she had seen his face ever in her life, but she just couldn’t as her mind was already clogged with so many happenings in her life.
"I can help you with money, but on a condition," he said, looking at their hands entwined with each other as she stood up with his help.
"Do we know each other? And why do you want to help me? And what condition?" She bombarded him with questions as she stared at him in confusion and disentangled her hand from his hold.
"No, we don’t. And about the help, you need not think why I want to help you. You need money, and I need you for a night. Simply just spend a night with me and get your payment," Maan shrugged his shoulders casually.
Geet stared at him with widened eyes. She just couldn’t believe her eyes that the man standing in front of her had the guts to say this to her face. Her face became red in anger, and she lifted her hand to give a tight slap on his cheek when he got hold of her hand in the air and twisted her arm behind her back by pulling her closer to himself and whispered in her ear huskily, "Just think about it. I’ll be back by 10 in the night in this same hotel, room number 503."
He separated himself from her with a jerk and walked off towards his car.
