Chapter 77

------------ 29th July - Sunday - Evening - Engagement Ceremony

Shanitvan was mildly decorated, mostly the living room where the ceremony will be held. Anjali wanted to do much more but Arnav denied, he wanted it to be simple with only close relatives and friends. The theme was white ... white flowers and drapes around the living room ... and fairy lights place above the small stage. All guests have arrived, few close business associates, close relatives mostly of Nani's and Mami's circle, few friends of Akash and Anjali's ... Rahul and NK, Vijay and Prachi, Aman and Lavanya ... there were 50 to 60 people in all.

Only one professional photographer was present to take the snaps, he was a regular in Raizada's occasions as he perfectly knew about the strict rules by ASR and was a trustable one.

Khushi was in guest room almost ready, Payal and Garima were there with her along with Prachi and Lavanya. The little baby Arush was also ready looking adorable in his little black pant, white shirt and black small tie.

Garima was happy, "Devi Maiya keeps evil eyes away from you", as she put kala tika behind Khushi's ear. Khushi smile wide at her mother.

"I will go and see if you have to be called down or not", saying that Garima left the room.

"My my ... ASR gona have a hard time keeping his eyes of you", said Lavanya in a teasing tone, she was wearing a dark blue Sari.

Khushi blush, "And what about Aman haan, you're looking so pretty in Sari ... you should wear Saris more often Lavanya ji ... I am sure Aman would be mesmerized".

"Oh darling he already is ... don't forget (Lavanya leans near her ear and whispers) he had seen me in more less", Lavanya winked and Khushi and giggles seeing her shocked expression.

"Lavanya ji ... not again please", said Khushi getting embarrassed.

"Ok fine ... but I know there is one thing you would really want to know", said Lavanya.

"What?", asked Khushi.

"That this dress is ASR's creation", said Lavanya and saw Khushi's eyes go wide.

"You mean that Arnavji design this?", asked Khushi shocked and surprise.

"Yeah ... didn't you saw his personal label on the box", said Lavanya and bring the lower lid of the box, she show Khushi the round red label on it underside. Khushi looked closely and saw that its just like the AR symbol but only difference is the addition of S between A and R.

"This symbol is on all the designs made by ASR himself", said Lavanya, "I guess he selected your dress from his collection".

"But I didn't see this dress in that room which you showed me", said Khushi.

"Oh Khushi that's not the only room ... did you really think that ASR designed only few clothes ... he had many ... but no one knows where the others dresses are", said Lavanya and Khushi looked back at the symbol, she did saw it but didn't pay much attention as it same like AR logo.

"Mammaa ...mummmaaa", exclaimed Arush extending hands towards Khushi who was in arms of Payal. Payal took him as he was touching everything place on the dressing table and Lavanya was having difficulty in putting makeup on Khushi. They haven't called for any beautician as Lavanya was expert in these things ... she put a light blush-on on Khushi's cheek and did a silver, smoky eye makeup with putting extra khol around her eyes to make it more prominent. Her hair were straight with curls in front and fews clipped to side with a silver brooch clip.

Khushi took Arush in her lap, who was sitting on a stool ... Arush instantly caught her earrings and tried to pull it.

"Aruuushhh", Khushi said his name in a tone which means to not do what he was doing. Arush put his head on her chest, with his hands down, showing Khushi that he understood and won't do it.

"wah ... Mama's boy ... here I was telling to stop pulling my hair and earrings from long and he didn't listen to me ... and you just made him stop in seconds", said Payal ... who was fixing her hair as Arush had pull it out from clips, she was wearing a light purple sari.

"Yessh .. Aalush is mama's boy ... haan na Alushh", said Khushi in baby tone nuzzling her nose with his, who gave his toothy grin.

After few minutes Garima came and asked the girls to take Khushi down.

It was more than fifth time that Arnav looked at his watch, "How much time are they take?", said Arnav in irritation.

"Relax ASR, this is not some meeting or dinner, its engagement ... Girls takes time to get ready", said Aman who was standing beside him.

Arnav gave him an angry glare and look around for his sister, fortunately Anjali was coming his way.

"Di ... Di", Arnav called his sister.

Anjali smile and came near him, "Its already 7. Are you going to call her down or should i go upstairs and bring her myself", said Arnav trying not to be irritated.

"Uff so impatient to see Khushi haan", Anjali teased and seeing the angry glare she patted his shoulder, "Di ... you ...", he was saying but stop as just then he felt the air around him changing, "She's here", said Arnav and turn towards the stairs and saw Khushi coming down ... Anjali look at him amuse.

"How did you know she's here?", asked Anjali.

"Bus I know", said Arnav in a daze as he watched Khushi mesmerized ... she was looking gorgeous in cream and white lehnga choli, which he had selected for her from his own private collection of designs, of course designed by him. Lavanya and Prachi were on her both side, carrying the lehnga so it don't stuck in her foot. Payal was behind her with Arush in her arms.

Everyone got quite, seeing the lady of the occasion coming down, ladies were appreciating her beauty.

Khushi felt his gaze and look up and saw him looking at her, she quickly look down. She thought it would not matter much as she had been with him alone many times ... but she was wrong ... her heart was thudding fast and she was feeling nervous ... with all eyes on her.

Aman jerk Arnav, making him come out of his daze, "ASR you should move towards the stage you know", said Aman with a mischievous smile.

Lavanya and Prachi bring Khushi on the small stage, she look around and smile seeing the fairy light in star shape just above the stage. Then her gaze fell on to the man standing infront of her, a handsome man, wearing crisp black 3 piece suit with white shirt and silver tie. Arnav was watching her looking at him, he had a lopsided smile on his face ... Khushi blushed and look down

Garima came to her and handed the ring. Arnav extend his left hand and Khushi slowly put the ring in his finger, it was gold plated ring with a thin platinum bar in middle with small square diamond embedded, everybody clapped. Then Anjali gave the ring to Arnav, the ring he had given to her in Paris.

Khushi extended her left hand and Arnav put the ring in her finger, it was a heart shaped with ddiamondin the middle and small ones around it, and then he lean down and kiss her finger, there were ooohs and aaahs around. Khushi couldn't look up due to shyness.

Then elders came first, and bless the couple ... then Anjali, Rahul, NK, Akash, Aman and Lavanya congradulated them and tease them ... Arnav was cool about all this, giving a whatever expression but Khushi was continuously blushing ... Arnav was amused, looking at her ... she was blushing like a bride ... if that's her condition then what will happen on their marriage day.

Vijay and Prachi came next and congratulated them ... Vijay was hesitant at first, extending his hand for shake but got happy when ASR shake his hand.

"he isnt that rude like he seems", thought Vijay. Prachi hugged Khushi and left after few seconds. After family and friends, Arnav's business associates came and congratulated them.

After some time, the lights got dim and a spot light came on Arnav and Khushi, "Ladies and gentlemen's a special song for the special couple of the occasion", said NK who was standing near the music system. Akash, Aman, Anjali and Lavanya tease Arnav and Khushi to go on dance floor.

Arnav held her hand and went in middle of the living room, he pull her close putting a hand on her waist and taking her other hand in his hand. The music started and Arnav started to move following the rhythm. Then the lyrics started ...

Khushi, instantly look up, hearing the words and saw Arnav looking at her with love, as if he was telling her the same. Khushi didn't avert her eyes but keep looking in his eyes.

Arnav twirl her in his arms, moving her to side, dipping her and then pull her up slowly ...

The song continues, telling the story of their hearts ... who wanted to become one as soon as possible ... they have been through the tough times, fighting all hardship and now on the verge of becoming one.

Everyone was watching them with an awe, the couple lost in each other, oblivious to the people around. Arnav hug Khushi from behind as the song came to an end and kiss her cheek.

Everybody claps for them and then others couple also came in the middle, as the new song came on and started to dance. Arnav and Khushi move to the side ... Khushi was about to go to Arush who was with Shobah ... but Arnav take her hand and pull her towards the dining table, going to left and came to the corridor leading to the small mandir.

Khushi knew whats going on his mind and she wanted the same. Just as they came to the place where the light was dim and no one can see them Arnav pull her close, tilting her head up.

"Khushi ...", Arnav said her name huskily to which Khushi closed her eyes ... Arnav capture her lips in a slow kiss ... starting from her lower lip going to upper lips, Khushi moan with the building sensation in her body, and Arnav put his tongue in her sweet mouth, tasting every corner ... Khushi too responded equally ... after a minute they broke apart.

Arnav run his thumb over her lower lip. He missed her, missed kissing her ... for past 2 days Khushi had been busy in shopping and then with her parents who came to Delhi on Friday, they didn't get the chance to talk on phone too.

"Finally ... you are mine now", said Arnav as he backed her up against the wall.

"uh .. nahi (No)", Khushi shakes her head with a smile.

"Nahi? ... tum meri nahi ho? (No? You're not mine?)", asked Arnav with intense eyes.

"Hum toh app hi k hain (I am yours)", said Khushi (smile appear on Arnav's face) "Lakin adhey (but half)".

Arnav frown a bit, "Adhey? Matlab? (half? Meaning?)".

Khushi lifted her left hand showing him the ring, "Abhi toh sirf mangni hui hai ... toh hum adhey apk huye ... jub shaadi hogi toh hum pure yap k ho jayein gey (Now its just the engagement ... so I am half yours ... when we get married then I will be fully yours)", said Khushi with a wide smile.

"Is that so?", said Arnav as he move closer, now that his body touching hers ... Khushi eyes widened and she put her hand over his chest and try to push him away.

"Arnavji ... what are you? Some will come", Khushi look around to see if someone is coming or not.

"Waisey Khushi ... I can make you fully mine ... I just need 3 things for that", said Arnav with mischievous glint in his eyes.

"What 3 things?", asked Khushi getting curious.

"One locked room ... a big bed ... and you under me (Arnav leans to her ear and whispers) naked", said Arnav and lean back and smirk seeing the shocked expression on her face with her usual O shape moth.

Khushi pressed her lips and push him with force, Arnav move back.

"Besharam ...", said Khushi and run from there...

"Only with you ...", Arnav shouted back.

"Arey Khushi bitya where were you?", asked Nani who saw Khushi hurriedly coming there.

"Um wo Naniji wo", Khushi was thinking what excuse to give when Arnav came to her side, sliding his hand on her waist, "Nani I took her to discuss something", said Arnav.

"Oh ok bitya come, I need you to meet some friends of mine", saying that Nani took Khushi to few older ladies and introduce her to them, who bless her and wish her.

Arnav was constantly looking at her and Khushi knew that, his words were still ringing in his mind ... and it was making her nervous ... after some time Arnav took Khushi to other side where his business associates were, many of them didn't knew Khushi as they were from outside of AR, Arnav introduces her as his finance and also mention how good a designer she is.

Khushi was having hard time controlling her breathing, as Arnav was moving his fingers on her waist.

Then when he would move to side, he would brush his fingers on her arms, while having dinner he had held her hand under the table and Khushi had a hard time taking her hand back, when she was holding Arush, who was getting tired and drowsy with tired ... Arnav lean down kissing his forehead, intentionally brushing his cheek with her. And then one time when she was talking with Vijay and Prachi, Arnav came to them, standing little behind Khushi and slid his hand to her stomach which was covered with Duppatta, Khushi controlled her gasped with difficultly. Khushi knew Arnav was doing this on purpose as she could see his smirk, arousing her desires.

When the time come to leave Arnav took Khushi to side, where no one can see them ... Arnav leaned in and Khushi close her eyes anticipating a kiss but when after few seconds nothing happen she opened her eyes and saw his lips just an inch away, she was confuse why he isn't kissing her ... Arnav leans in and whisper, "Have a good night Khushi ... with my dreams ... doing ... you know what".

Khushi mouth open in an O understanding what he meant, seeing her red cheeks and nose ... Arnav flick her nose, "its red".

Khushi huff with irritation and push him away ... She touch Nani, Mamiji and Mamaji feets and hug Anjali and Rahul ... Arush baby had already sleep and was in Payal's arm ... since 2 days Arush was staying with Khushi in night ... and no one objected on this when Arnav himself agreed on it. Khushi was talking to Akash when Arnav came behind her and then again brush her fingers on her back and waist making goose bumps appear on her skin.

"Khushi what happened?", asked Akash when he sees Khushi stop talking.

"Akash I think she is tired", said Arnav with a smile and Khushi give him an irritated look as not to do naughty things he was doing. Khushi tried to move but Arnav held on to her waist and then he kiss on her head, "Good night sweet heart". Khushi got embarrassed as everyone looked at them and she couldn't look up.

"Come love birds ... not its time go ... Arnav bitwa leave something for tomorrow", tease Mami and everyone laughed ... Arnav just give a nonchalant expression.

Khushi quickly move from there and then leave with her family, she turn and give an glare to Arnav ... who just smirk in return, "I will show you for teasing me all night", thought Khushi as she give a determine look to Arnav raising her chin ... Arnav cock an eyebrow in a challenging way and his smirk got wide.

i want to request you all not to send me PMs and scraps asking for update ... i know its hard not to ... but i feel bad when you sent me PMs and i didnt have the update ready to post.

I know i take too much to post but i couldn't help it, working 10 hours a day its not easy ... it makes me very tired so i can't write in week days and i get time only on weekend to write.

Also my mother is not well these days as the weather is changing here and sometime i get mild fever every now and then. I have to look after household works as well as my Bhabi is in her 9th month she can't do much work and i dont have a sister.

So now i hope you understand my situation and be patient about the update ... i will appreciate it very much ... caz it takes effort and time to write a long chapter. Also i need time to think of scenes as i have to include the ones which my readers demands.
