Chapter 16

Khushi was going towards cafeteria; she had just complete 2 designs for upcoming spring collection. But today she couldn't concentrate on her work as most of the time her mind was occupied by Arnav and Arush. She just wanted for weekend to come quick so that she can go and meet Arush, she was missing him already.

With these thoughts going in her mind she didn't look ahead and bump into someone, she look up ahead and quickly said sorry, the person was Sameer.

"Hey Khushi, its ok", Sameer said passing her a wide smile. Khushi just smile and move ahead to go Cafeteria but Sameer blocked her way, "hey whats the hurry beautiful?"

Khushi didn't like his tone, "well I am in hurry I have some designs to finish, so I was just going to get a tea for myself".

"Ok I will accompany you", Sameer said.

"No Sameerji, its ok. I am sure you must have some work of your own", Said Khushi.

"Oh come on Khushi, why the formality. Sameerji? ' you can call me Sameer. You call Aman Sir, Aman ' right?", Sameer said.

"That's because he is my friend, and I don't make friends with anyone", Said Khushi and tried to go from other side but then Sameer extend his arm blocking her way. "I am also your friend", Said Sameer.

"Yes ' but I don't get casual with everyone ' (Pause) ' Now will you please excuse me", with that Khushi hurriedly passed Sameer and went to Cafeteria.

Sameer looked on Khushi going inside the Cafeteria, he smile evilly, "well till when you will run sweet heart, Sameer eventually gets what he wants". With that he moves to his seat.

From the very first day of Khushi, Sameer had his eyes on her. He had bedded many women, had many flings, but he somehow manage to maintain his this side masked from everyone at the office. He even have one night stands with models working at AR. But then why doesn't any model complain about him, because some were also looking for one night stand and others who want commitment can't do anything because Sameer had their intimate moments captured. And he threaten them if they said anything to Management or Media he will published those photos in media. He do this so that in future they don't spoil his image in front of others. And now he wants to take Khushi, but she unlike others is proving hard to get, which in return making him more intrigued to get her.

On the other hand Khushi didn't like Sameer's behavior. From her very first meeting with Sameer; she was getting negative vibes from him. She knew he is a flirts as he constantly trying to flirt with her. But she was only being friendly with him because Prachi like him and she don't want her friendship to be spoiled with Prachi. But she decided to maintain as such distance as she can with Sameer. She misses NK, because he is the only one who knew her discomfort with such boys and he always helped her in these situations.

Soon it was lunch time and she had done 3 designs. She went to Lavanya's cabin to handover her design, as she was avoiding any contact with Arnav. On her way back she saw Anjali walking into the office. Anjali too saw her. Anjali waved to her smilingly."Hey Khushi".

"Arey Anjali ji what are you doing here, aren't you suppose to be in Orphanage?", inquired Khushi.

"yeah but I came here for some work and that too is related to Second Life". Anjali said.

"Is Arush with you?" Khushi asked looking here and there if she can find Arush with his Nanny.

"Nope, I cant bring him in office, remember I told you", said Anjali and she saw disoopintment on Khushi's face.

"Oh yeah .." , Khushi gave a half smile trying to hide her disappointment, as she was hoping to see Arush with Anjali.

"Well I came here to ask for your help", said Anjali. "My help? For what Anjali ji. Khushi said.

"See I told you na about the charity event I was planning to organized for Second life", Anjali said and Khushi nods her head," well I want you to help me arrange it".

"Anjali ji I would love too but you know my job, and its my first month here, I don't think so I will get off" Khushi said

"That's why I am here personally, I am gona ask chottey to give you 2, 3 days off. He wont deny me".

"No Anjali ji , Arnav sir wont like it". Khushi tried to reason with Anjali.

"Oh hush Khushi, I know I already talk to him that I wanted you to help me and he wont deny me. You wait here I just come back". With that Anjali move towards stairs to go Arnav's cabin.

Khushi put her finger between her lips chewing on it as nervousness started to build. She was sure that laad governer wont allow her off. But then she will get to see Arush. With that thought she silently prayed to Dev Maiya that she get off.

Anjali sit infront of Arnav who was scanning through some file, "Di why you come here you should have called me if there was anything important".

"Well I wanted to meet Khushi that's why I came here, as I want her to take with me", Anjali said passed a smile to Arnav.

"Khushi? Why you want to take her, Arnav asked getting a little alarmed.

"Well I told you before I need her to help me in arranging charity event at Seconf Life", Anjali said. And Arnav remember she had ask this a week ago.

"Di, I told you she got work to do", Arnav said trying to change his Di's mind.

"I have asked Lavanya and Akash both, she is perfectly doing her work and plus it wont matter if she take 2, 3 days off. So I just came here to inform you that I am taking Khushi with to Second life. And she will be back to office after 2- 3 days", said Anjali giving her final decision.

Yes she had already talked with Lavanya and Akash about it so it doesn't affect Khushi's work. And also Arnav didn't get any chance to object it. Lavanya had said she did make a right choice as Khushi is good at managing event as she had already seen it.

Arnav was looking at Anjali sternly, "fine then if you have already talk with Lavanya and Akash then why are you telling me this now?"

"So that you wont take your anger out on Khushi, as I know you would do it", said Anjali and stood up from chair, "see you at home Chottey", Anjali said smilingly and went out of cabin.

Anjali saw Khushi standing beside her cubile murmuring something, as her lips were moving.

"So I told chottey that you will be coming with me, and as I told ou he wont say anything to you, said Anjali , khush opened her mouth to say something but Anjali cut her, "And before you say that what about your work, don't worry about it I have already asked Lavanya and Akash about it. Lavanya will handle it." Anjali assured her.

Khushi smile a big smile and nodded and gather her bag and move out with Anjali to go to Orphanage.

After 2 days ' Thursday - @ RM ' Noon

Anjali, Nani, Maami were sitting in the living room talking about the event that had happened yesterday. The arrangement was done perfectly by Khushi and Anjali was very happy. Khushi had given Anjali an idea to organize a small function in which kids would do some skits plus dance on some story themes, as it bring out the talent in the kids and Anjali liked the idea very much. They spend Monday in arrangement of event, Tuesday in preparing kids for 2 skits that they have come up with and 3 dance themes on kid's stories. The event was on Wednesday noon which was successful as the people who come there from different NGOs, Society and Social Companies like the efforts of kids and also like the way Orphanage was handling kids and grooming them, in result they end up getting many donations. And today morning they have given many gifts to the kids for their effort and take them to the park to unwind their tiredness because of the event.

Just then Hari Prakash come there and hand Anjali Arush's milk bottle. Anjali asked HP to arrange for some snack and juice for Khushi who was upstairs with Arush making him change. Anjali took the milk bottle and went upstairs to her room. She saw Khushi and Arush on bed; Khushi had changed Arush's clothes and she was playing with him. Anjali stood at the door for few minutes just looking at the two of them, how greatly they are getting bonded with each other in very little time. She came in and gave Khushi the milk bottle. Khushi takes Arush and lay him in her lap and put the milk bottle in his mouth, Arush started to drink it and extending his one hand upwards to touch Khushi's cheek. And Khushi was caresses his cheeks and hair.

Arnav enters the house, he was irritated. Its been 2 days he haven't seen Khushi and when he comes home in evening he knew Khushi is in the house but somehow she manages to not to come infront of him. He was getting irritated due to her ignorance. He had enough of this. He was glad that the event was over and now Khushi would come to office tomorrow. Now he had to think of something so that Khushi wont able to ignore him anymore, something due to which he can make Khushi be with him most of the time.

He saw Nani and Maami in the living room. He goes to them and asked, "Nani, where is Di?".

"Chottey wo apan kamrey mein hain" (Chottey she is in her room)", Nani said but before she could also tell him that Khushi is there too he marched up the stairs. Just when he was about to turn left, Jai Prakash bump into him spiling the remaining juice in glass on his waist coat.

"Daik ker nahi chal sakhtey?" (Cant you see while walking?), Arnav said in angry tone.

"Maaf ker dain bhaiya, galti hogayi." (Please forgive me, it was a mistake", said Jai Prakash, shaking a little.

"Tumhari ghalti ki saza tumhari nuakri bhi ho sakhti hai" (the punishment for your mistake can cause you your job). Arnav said a bit loud in anger.

"Maaf ker dain bhaiya hum abhi saaf ker daitey hein" (Please Forgive me bahiya, i will clean it now), said Jai Prakash.

"Rehen do (leave it)"' and moves aside to give JP space to go downstairs.

Khushi had just put Arush to bed as he slept in Khushi's lap after drinking his milk. That's when Arnav was talking to JP, Khushi had heard his voice , she suddenly went to door and peak a bit and saw Arnav coming to Anjali's room.

"Hey Devi maiya what should I do now, I don't to face that ladd governer, and Anjali ji i is in bath room", she suddenly move away from the door and look here and there, then she saw the french window, she quickly climb through them and went to pool side

If she would not have been thinking about Arnav she surely have appreciated the relaxing sight of Pool side surrounded by plants and flowers. She saw French doors ahead and went through them into another room, it was slightly bigger than Anjali's room.

Mean while when Khushi enters the pool side Arnav enter Anjali's room, he saw Arush sleeping on the bed and was about to call his Di but them he heard shower running in the bath room so he assumes that Anjali would be taking bath so he came out and went to his room. Khushi who looked out he door at the same time saw Arnav coming this way, she stopped there.

As aArnav was looking down at his fone as he just got message from Aman that meeting with the client will be in 2 hours. Khushi turn back in the room.

"Hey Devi maiya kitni baar humari pariksha logi? (hey Devi Maiya how many time will you test me?) " She then look here and there to see a place where she could hide and then when she heard Arnav's foot step approaching she quickly open the wardrobe and sit inside.

Arnav came in the room and open his waist coat and went to cupboard to get a new one for the meeting. Just then when he was about to open the wardrobe he got a call from Aman.

He turn side way and open the wardrobe, same time talking with Aman.

"Haan Aman, yeah I got your message, yeah (he try to take his coat out ) I will be there in an hour.. ok you also tell Akash to join '." Khushi who saw Arnav's hand, leaned more backwards so that his arm do not touch her.

but as Arnav wasn't getting hold of any coat she realized that he will soon turn this way so she quickly grab at coat and puts it in Arnav's hand . Arnav take the coat the close the wardrobe.

"Yes you get the papers ready ' the file is on my desk. Its green color file". Arnav finished the call and put a waist coat on he then pick up the coat , he was about to wear it when he suddenly heard a sound '

Khushi who thanked Devi Maiya that Arnav closes the wardrobe. She try to move but her head smacked with the rod above and she yulped. "Ahhh"

Arnav turn around and then opens the wardrobe. Khushi quickly covers her face with her hand and starts chanting Devi Maiya. His eyes got widened seeing Khushi sitting in his wardrobe "what the" that's all he could say at the moment as he was beyond surprise at the unusual sight of Khushi sitting in his wardrobe.

Khushi peak through her finger and saw Arnv looking at her, she puts her hand hand down and gulped. Both staring into each other eyes.

And then she tries to climb dwon from cupboard, her foot stumbles when she land on floor, Arnav quickly grabs her hand to stable her. She look at him. Both looking in each other eyes.

Khushi then push Arnav hands away and run towards the door.

"Khushi '" he said Arnav tryies to grab hold of her duptta but failed.

"Khushi ...", he shout again to call her when she was at the door but she didnt stop and went towards the stairs.

"Bhaag le Khushi ... is se pehley k wo laad governer pakar le ... bhaaag", Khushi thought.

(Run Khushi ... before he ctach you .. ruuunnn ...)

Arnav flowed her out with his coat still in his hand. He moves in log stride so that he can catch Khushi but when he reach the stair , Khushi was already in the living room bidding good bye to Nani.

"Nani, hum chaltey hein, kafi dair ho gayi hai, Arush upper so raha ' Anjali ji ko bata dijye ga won naha rahi hai (Nani i should go, its quit late, Arush is sleeping upstairs ... tell Anjali ji she is having shower)", Khushi said all in one go , panting due to running. She grabs her bag which was on the center table.

"Lakin ka hua bitya ... ap rukiye to, chai pi k jaye ga (But what happend bitya ... please stay ... have tea then go)", Nani said.

Khushi quickly look up and saw Arnav coming down the stairs, "Nahi Nanji phir kahbi sahi (NO Naniji, another time)" but that she hurriedly move towards the exit with fast steps, when Arnav reach at the bottom of stairs, Khushi was at the door and without looking back she went out.

Arnav who saw her going out clench his coat hard and other hand into a fist in anger.

"Arey chottey ap?, kuch kaam ha ka? (Arey chottey you? do you have some work?)", Nani said looking a Arnav who was looking at the door.

Without giving any answer he moves toward his room, he enter his room and throw the coat on bed ,,, pacing the room.

"how dare she walk away when I call her ... how dare she ignore me?", he said with gritted teeth.

Arnav was angry ' he was thinking about he should do now when Anjali enters his room

"Arey chottey you came early?" Arnav looked at Anjali. Anjali saw his angry expression. She went to him and cup his cheek. "What happen Chottey, you are worried?".

Anrav sighed , he didn't want to tell his Di why he was angry. "No Di, it just some work", ( Anjali caresses his cheek ) Di I have to go , will be late tonight, got meeting with client.

Anjali nods her head. "but please make sure you have your dinner as u have to take your medicine".

Arnav nods his head, "don't worry Di" with that grabs the coat and went out to go to office.

when i was wirtting it i didnt realize that it will become this long ... almost 11 pages at word, so i divided this chapter into 2 parts.

Part B, i will post it tonight ... i just have to do some changing in it.
