Chapter 11

Rudra was looking at shambhavi continuously. He thinks.

Rudra: I have seen so many beautiful girls but don't know what is so special about her that whenever I see her she looks more beautiful and new.

Shambhavi too was staring at rudra. She said

Rudra: why are looking at me like this? Am I looking that bad?

Rudra thinks she is looking out of this world. Her beauty can't be matched with anything.

Shambhavi: rudra, are you alright? I have asked you something

Rudra: I am listening and trust me you are not looking that bad.

Shambhavi smiles and saw two cups on the small table.

Shambhavi: radha maa wants us to drink this. It will heal our wounds soon.

Rudra: I know and how is your foot now?

Shambhavi: it's fine. The pain is less now.

Shambhavi took one cup and gave it to rudra. Rudra was making faces.

Shambhavi: don't tell me that you don't want to drink it. And if you are thinking about it then I should tell you that radha maa has given strict instructions and we have to follow them.

Rudra: alright, if it is so then why don't you drink it first? You too don't want to drink

Shambhavi: its not like that I can drink it and without making faces.

Rudra: then drink it.

Shambhavi drinks the whole cup. The kadha was very sour but she drinks it.

Shambhavi: here I have finished it now its your turn and I don't want any excuses.

Rudra was still making faces. He said

Rudra: I won't drink it. It looks very sour.

Shambhavi: don't be a child. Just do as I say or else

Rudra: or else what?

Shambhavi: I will forcefully make you drink that kadha.

Rudra: are you kidding me? No one can make me drink anything without my consent

Shambhavi: oh yeah!

She took the cup from rudra's hand and makes him drink the whole kadha. Rudra drinks the kadha but starts coughing. Shambhavi panics seeing this and starts rubbing his back.

Shambhavi: are you okay?

Rudra: I am fine (eyelock)

Radha maa comes and says

Radha maa: it's good that both of you drink the kadha. Rudra it's time to change your dressing and apply some new medicine on it. You are doing well but that doesn't mean that you are completely fine.

Shambhavi was sitting beside rudra.

Shambhavi: can I stay here while you change his dressing?

Radha maa: of course dear, you are his wife you can definitely stay here

Both rudra and shambhavi looks at each other as if they were asking to tell the truth but both remained silent. Radha maa was removing his bandage rudra feels a little pain. Shambhavi was looking at him. While radha maa was applying the medicine rudra was in immense pain. He holds shambhavi's hand tightly. As soon as radha maa finished the dressing he slowly loosen his grip from her hand. Rudra fell asleep.

Radha maa: come outside shambhavi I want to talk with you

Shambhavi and radha maa goes outside the hut.

Shambhavi: what happened radha maa? Is everything alright?

Radha maa: yes sort of. I just want to tell you that athough rudra is recovering fast but he is still very weak and the medicine which I gave him will show its effect at night. He may have severe pain in the night. But you have to make him strong so that he can bear that pain.

Shambhavi becomes a little worried but nods in yes

Shambhavi: don't worry. I will take care of him.

Radha maa: good, you and rudra must be hungry come I give you some food.

Both radha maa and shambhavi went to have lunch. Radha maa gives some food to shambhavi for rudra. Shambhavi comes and gave the food to rudra. She makes him sit and told him to eat. Rudra was trying to eat but due to his injury he wasn't able to eat properly. Shambhavi watches him struggling to eat food.

Shambhavi: wait

Rudra stops

Shambhavi: I'll feed you

Rudra: no thanks, I am not a child I can eat by myself

Shambhavi: yes I can see that. Ok try your best, I am going

She left from there. She hide outside the cottage. She was looking at rudra who was trying his best to eat. She was amused seeing him like this. She goes inside and takes leaf plate from him.

Rudra: what are you doing?

Shambhavi: keep quiet. Don't ask me any question.

She feeds him. At first he refused but then agreed to eat from her hands. Shambhavi was feeding him and rudra was looking at her like an innocent child. When he finished eating she makes him drink water. Shambhavi makes him lay down on the bed. When she was about to leave her hair gets stuck in his locket. It was shiv ji's locket which he used to wear all the time. Even at the time of dressing he refused to take off that locket. (a sweet eyelock between rusham) shambhavi was trying to free herself but was unable to do so.

Rudra: wait, let me try

He gently takes off his locket without hurting her. Shambhavi becomes embarrassed and left from there.rudra too becomes embarrassed. Shambhavi came outside the cottage and saw radha maa with some men. Shambhavi goes to meet them.

Shambhavi: radha maa, who is he?

Radha maa: he is our village's head man. His name is vashisht.

Vashisht: I heard from my men that you are here so I came to meet you.

Shambhavi: thank you for your concern we are fine now. All thanks to radha maa because of her our wounds are healing quickly.

Viashisht: I am glad that you two are recovering fast. You can stay here as long as you want an let me know if you need anything.

Shambhavi smiles and nods in yes. Vashisht with his men left from ther. Shambhavi was overwhelmed meeting such down to earth persons. She was very happy meeting with all of them and especially radha maa.

Shambhavi: thank you radha maa for all this. Thankyou for your help.

Radha maa: plz don't thank me. It's my job and besides you are like a daughter to me so how I can I let my daughter unhappy

Both radha maa and shambhavi smiles and hug each other. Shambhavi was thinking that's she is lying to her about her and rudra's identity and relationship. She feels bad about lying to her.

It was night time. Radha maa comes with some kind of oil and gave it to shambhavi. Rudra was asleep and shambhavi was sitting beside him.

Radha maa: here take this. Tonight is very crucial for rudra. I told you about the effects and soon the effects will be shown. If he gets fever then rub this oil on his hands and feet.

Shambhavi was a bit hesitant to do so but took the oil from her. Radha ma left from there. Rudra was asleep and shambhavi was thinking the incident when rudra tell her about his true identity and his real motive to save her. She becomes sad and angry and thinks.

Shambhavi: why am I doing all this? Why I am here. Why didn't I tell them about myself? Even after knowing that rudra is my father's enemy I am taking care of him.

Suddenly rudra starts shivering with cold. Shambhavi checked his forehead and realizes that he he is burning with fever. She remembered what radha maa said about the oil. She took the oil and what about to apply it but stops and thinks.

Shambhavi: what am I doing? Why do I care if he is in pain? No I can't do this. He is my father's enemy that means he is my enemy.

She put the bowl on the table and was about to leave. She turns towards rudra and saw his condition. He was still shivering with cold. She thinks.

Shambhavi: No, I can't leave him like this. How can I forget that I am responsible of all this. Because of me he is in so much pain. No I can't do this to him.

She goes and puts a blanket on him. She applies oil on his hands and feet. Rudra was still shivering. Shambhavi panicked she didn't know what to do she thinks of calling radha maa but it was midnight so she stopped. When she can't think of anything else then she hugged him tightly to give warmth of her body to him. She hugged him until he stops shivering. After some time rudra stopped shivering. He seems relieved and his fever was reduced. Shambhavi breathes a sigh of relief and slept on the chair next to rudra's bed.

Next morning.

Shambhavi was sleeping. Rudra slowly opened his eyes and saw shambhavi sleeping on chair. He notices that his pain is reduced and he can get up by himself. He gets up and goes towards shambhavi who was still asleep. Her hair was covering her face because of which she was getting disturbed. Rudra removes her hair from her face. Shambhavi slowly opens her eyes and saw rudra infront of her (Eyelock)
