Chapter 24

Arnav: Get out.

Khushi: Kya? Ab maine kya kiya? Maine kuch kaha hi nahin or aap phirse mujhe keh rahe hai ke gadi se nikal java. Kyon?

Arnav just looks at her ranting. He was just smirking watching Khushi get back to her normal self. Once she stopped ranting she looks at him and he just points outside towards her side. She looks outside. They were outside a sweet shop. Khushi's eyes just widen realising where they are. With that Arnav got out of the car and goes to her side. He open's her door. He stands in front of her placing his hand in front of her.

Arnav: Well aren't you going to get out.

Khushi looks at him. She unbuckles her seat belt and turns and looks at him. She then looks at his hand and slowly moves her hand and places it in his. Arnav helps her out and closes the door behind her. He locks the car and taking her hand in his they both walk into the sweet shop.

Arnav: So Khushi how many jalebi's do you want or do you want to go home and make them?

Khushi is surprised by this question. Then realises how much Arnav is starting to know a lot about her. She ends up looking at him.

Khushi: Jalebi's? Ummm…well I don't know.

Arnav smirking: Why do you want to buy all of them?

Arnav pointed towards the jalebi's near the front. Khushi looks at how many there are. She just stares at them wide eyed. Arnav looks at her face to see her reaction. He just stared at how cute his wife was looking at that moment.

Arnav: So I see you do want all the jalebi's.

Khushi: No. I mean. I just….

Arnav: Just what Khushi? How many would you like?

Khushi: Oh. Ummm. Just a box full will do.

Arnav walks up towards the counter after letting go off Khushi's hand. She just stood there as she watched Arnav buy her some jalebi's. He finished paying the person behind the counter and walked over to Khushi who was still looking dumbfounded at what just happened. Arnav handed her a bag which had the box in it. Khushi took the bag in one hand and Arnav grabbed her hand and lead her out towards the car. He took his keys out unlocked his car and opened her side of the door. Khushi got in. Arnav then closed her door went over to the driver's side and got in. Khushi was just staring at him the whole time. He looks at her and notices she hasn't even taken the box out of the bag. So he slowly takes the bag out of her hand, takes the box out of the bag, opens the box, takes one jalebi out and then slowly takes it towards her mouth. She just watches his every movement and then sees the jalebi in front of her. She looks at him. He looks back at her indicating her to eat. She takes a bite while they are still looking at her. He hands her the jalebi and is about to put his own sticky fingers into his mouth when she grabs his wrist to stop him. He looks at her. Khushi knows that the jalebi's have sugar in them and knowing full well that he can't have any sugar due to his diabetes and as she had no tissue on her she did the only thing that she could think off. She ended up moving his fingers towards her lips and lick off the remaining sugar on his fingers. Arnav saw her action and was really shocked that Khushi could be this brave. He had to close his eyes for moment to control his emotions at that moment. Once she had finished she looked up at him and saw his eyes closed. She realised what she had just done. She let go of his hand and put her hand on her mouth gasping in shock. Arnav felt her hand leave his and opened his eyes to hear her gasp. She looked at him and then looks at his hand then looks up at him again. Arnav could read her face like a book. He took his free hand and cupped her cheek.

Arnav: Khushi it's ok. Don't worry. Here the rest of the jalebi's. I'm quite sure you would want them now.

Khushi grabbed the box and bag and started eating the jalebi's one by one. She had turned her face away from Arnav. She was looking very nervous by now. Arnav was just watching her trying not to laugh but loving the fact his wife was so innocent. He moved his hand forward. Khushi automatically moved further back into the chair her eyes shut thinking hey devi maiyya help over and over again. Arnav looked at her face and just smirked. His hand went towards her seat belt and he buckled her in. Khushi's eyes just sprang open when she heard the click.

Arnav: You forgot your seat belt.

He then put his seat belt on and stated to drive.

Arnav smirking: By the way I never knew my wife can be so brave to lick my fingers.

He turned around to look at her reaction. Khushi looked at him shocked with half a jalebi in her mouth. Arnav by now was smirking. He winked at her before returning his attention to the road. Khushi saw him wink at her and she just blushed. Once she finished her jalebi she had to look out of the window to avoid his gaze because her heart had started to beat faster and a small smile was playing on her lips. As she was about to grab another jalebi she remembered something.
