Chapter 13
Arnav and khushi didn't left the beach even when all the others left and the party ended
They just stay there, sitting on the sand and feeling the soft salty breeze...
Alone in the world and totally relaxed
Closed from each other...
Kushi felt his hand holding her and making her closer
-I'm not the man who easily expresses his self and open up his heart...
He starts and she looked at him...
-khushi! I want you to know very well that there is only you in my life!
Her eyes widened, she knows that but the fact that he's telling that in such a way
-you know...I was in a relationship before...
She felt her heart paining
-but that was far away and...
-you loved her?
She asked trying to not show him all what she's feeling
-now...there is no more love for her! It's over!
Men always said so...always!
-where is she?
She asked hoping that she's married, that she's far away
-I know that she's always...living in Delhi...I don't know where she is now!
-what if...if she comes back and...if you meet her!
-what?...khushi! I said it's over! What do you think? That if she comes back, I will let you go and follow her? You...
He couldn't complete as she asked cutting him
-what it happens to that you let her go?
Arnav's eyes turned red from anger and he turned to look at the sea
-something that I could not TOLERATE!
From his tone, khushi understands that something big happened
There was lot of silence...but khushi was okay as his hand was holding hers so tight and that he covered her with his coat when he felt that she shivering as the breeze of night is becoming little fresh...
He finally speaks:
-let's come back to our place?
He asked
She needs to know
She stayed immobile looking at him with her big troubled hazel eyes that he could see thanks to the moon light and some candles that still surviving till then...
-I will tell you this and the topic of my past relationship will be closed forever!... I loved her, I thought she loved me too! We stayed together for three years! Till the day, I discovered she's betraying me! I don't know if it was during all those years we spend together or only in that moment I saw her in the arms of someone else, kissing him hard and following him to his apartment! I asked her! She couldn't defend herself! What I saw was true but she said that I'm always busy and didn't spend enough time with her! Anyway, it was the end!...that's why I couldn't accept anyone in my life after that but...
-Dada forced you to marry me!
She whispered
-I can't thank him enough
His indifferent and harsh tone transformed to a warm one...
-all changed when I saw you in that heavy lehenga and because you were so damn beautiful and that I already hated you then, I yelled on you!
She opens her mouth in O shape and looked at him
-I run from there, sure that all my family were in fault! How can they choose a girl like you to me? you're supposed to be ugly and force me to spend the night with you
Khushi's eyes opened wide
-but you were beautiful and didn't even stop me when I get out of the room! I was sure you will tell them all but you didn't! But even so, I was completely lost! Arranged Marriage?!!! Damn!!!! I thought that it could only happen in TV or in some families but me and arranged Marriage??! I wasn't even for the idea of marriage and here my grandfather is choosing for me!
He smirked
-he has lot of taste, Dada!
She smiled
-he chooses me because...

-he knows that I will accept all your insanity!
She pushed him with all her force and throws his coat in his face and stands up
She crossed her hands and her back was now facing him
She was angry!
He stands up and comes before her
-My insanity?
-you're even against the idea of marriage?!
-I was!!! that was in the past, khushi! now, see! We are married!
-and because it was an arranged marriage, you thought that I would be surly ugly and stupid and bad!!!
-to be honest: yes!
She pulled out her tongue childishly...but angrily and looks to the other way
-you never once remember?
-remember what?
-who Khushi Kumari Gupta from Lucknow is? Damn it!
Arnav tried to think a bit
-do you participated in some Miss World contest or a beauty competition?
-No!
She checked her head
-there is a time you come to Lucknow?
she asked him
-no!
-yes!...try to remember!
Arnav tried hard
-yes...yes...but then I was a child!
-you were 10 years old!
-I...yes! exactly!
-that summer you came with your family to Lucknow...you once, come to my home with your papaa and Dada!
Arnav kept looking at her
-I wanted to sit on your Dada lap but you pushed me!
She added
Arnav runs his hand on his thick hair
-you said that he's your dada only!
Khushi added

Flashbacks:
Big innocent hazel eyes and two braids...a little pinky dress and a lose white dupatta that she kept playing with...it was one of her mommy's dupattas
She was too tiny and too beautiful and all were only looking at her...as she sings with soft voice and totally wrong words making all the guests fall for her and laugh out loud!
The little boy sitting there doesn't laugh...he doesn't like her she..he doesn't have a mother, he has only his dada and papaa but she has a mother!
Her mother lifts her in her arms and kisses her all the time
-my bacha
Bacha?!!!
She was so happy ...but him, a little, already arrogant, boy was so jealous she has a mum and when she thought she could sit on his dada's lap...
He pushed her away
-this is my Dada only!
She doesn't cry but she pushed him back with her tiny hands
-Arnav son! Don't hurt her! She's a little baby! Don't teach her how to push! Now, you both could come and sit in my lap!
Dada lifts the little girl and his grandson
-now! Kiss khushi chota on her cheek to that you become friends!
Dada ordered and because little boy loved his dada...he kissed that so soft cheek!
Flashbacks ended

-you?...I can't believe!
-when dada comes to ask for my hand to you...I remembered you! I thought you kept remembering too!
-that was only once that I meet you and then, you were so different!...so tiny!
-it's not so important but...I thought that at least you have an idea about the woman you will marry!
-No...and what idea should I keep from a naughty chota who wanted to snatch dada from me!
-excuse me! You! rude boy! You tried to push me!
-no! I was so good and polite boy and I think that this memory made you said "yes" to our marriage! Beside the fact that you wanted your family satisfaction!
Khushi felt troubled for awhile!
Well...yes...it was a reason...she still remember the only child coming to her place and kissing her cheek and becoming her first masculine friend ever!
-and why you didn't tell me?
-I thought you know and I think that's why after you pushed me in our first night, we become friends!
Arnav couldn't retain his smile and then he starts laughing
-you
He said looking at her
-how can I not remember by seeing aunty and uncle shashi?!!
-you were also so young then...
Arnav looked at her, fascinated
-I can't believe I married you, bacha!
He smiled...
-you! You! The tiny doll
-I'm not a tiny doll anymore!
Arnav held her hand and made her come towards him...
Closer...he makes her wear his coat again and held her hand
-ok bacha, you're right but it's too late and we should come back!
He was about to walk with her but she stopped walking midway:
-I...
He looked at her
-be sure that...
Her beautiful eyes were full of promises
-that I will never hurt you, Arnavji!
-I know!
He said all confident ...

That night was just so calm, so romantic...
There is no declaration but only promises
Khushi knows the truth about Arnav past relationship...she forgives him those first days of indifference...
And Arnav was trying to remember what exactly happened when so many years back, he visited Gupta house in Lucknow...so, he met his wife already before...this only idea amuses him!
They lay side by side on the bed...
And from time to time, they look at each other with a smile or just a look...
A so promising look

I know that you're disappointed maybe that they are not starting to be all naughty...and ahem ahem 😳
But...It's magical that when I write a FF, I have only the main idea of it and then it's the characters who decided what it will happen...and you of course
Those ones decided that they will take it slowly :p
But hmm...now that all is clarified...wait for the next chapi people
