[MEMBERSONLY]

[NOCOPY]

Smita,😊

Here is the interpretation to Section 1 of Part 42.

Mehendi was a function that was decided to be held at RM which was an exclusive women only function, where the brides were adorning their hands and feet with intricate designs done in mehendi. Ganesh who was unaware of the underhand tactics of NK, Arnav, Gaurav and Akash, dropped Anamika at RM in the morning and got himself immersed in his work. When Gaurav called him saying, Papa, Mama is having her mehendi done, he just murmured, Haan, not knowing what it was leading to. When Gaurav categorically stated that he should be with them over at RM, Ganesh explained that Mami had told them specifically that men were not allowed' He was cut by his son who stated that he needed to watch movies with Khushiji. Men are supposed to peek and gatecrash into the function, giving him the much needed talk on the facts of life. Ganesh was a confused soul hearing it and all he could say was, really. Gaurav stressing it to be so, he asked his Papa, whether he would come down and he could not let the boy's side down! Ganesh with a smile asked him to relax and he would be there soon. He asked Gaurav, whether he had taken his medications. When affirmed so by Gaurav, Ganesh with a firm tone told him that, he did not want him to tire himself making arrangements for the wedding. The minute he felt tired he had to rest. Ganesh asked him, whether it was understood? Yes Papa, and will he be coming now, was the response from Papa's boy. Ganesh said, that he would be there as soon as he could.

Akash who was anxious called, Bhai, where are you? Arnav who received it countered with, at the office and where else would he be at that time? He asked Akash, whether he had gone through the Singhania file? He needed it and asked it to be sent through Mohan. Akash, who was stunned to know that his brother was at work asked him to forget about Singhania file, Why had he gone to office when it was Mehendi day. He had never thought he would have to ask his Bhai such a question! Hearing Akash say so, Arnav asked him, when Mehendi is for ladies, why was he not in the office? Was he working from home that day? Akash stressed that, neither was he working nor would Arnav be. He was getting married only once and today was his mehendi, the only one he would be having. Would he not be coming for that. He beseeched him, to come home soon. With a frown when Arnav was about to refuse Akash's request, NK snatched the phone from Akash, with a beaming smile said, that it was a shame that Nannav was not present, when the gorgeous Khushiji looking beautiful in green lehenga was there at RM. He tempted Arnav with Khushi and her beauty like nothing else could. He continued to egg on saying, that she was asking for him and Di was teasing her saying that he had left her alone and gone away. But his working that day was fine as he had work to do after all how could Nannav Singh Raizada afford to waste half a day, just to stare at his dazzling bride writing his name on her palm with henna? Hearing NK tease so Arnav cut the call and NK looking at his watch predicted that Nannav would be at RM within 30 minutes and the bet was on for a packet of Lays.

At the chime of the door bell, HP opened, while Anjali asked the ladies with a naughty smirk, who has reached home first, Ganeshji or Chotey? making all giggle especially Anamika and Khushi. They watched Ganesh enter and pause in his stride undecided. NK came down and took him upstairs while he gave a sheepish grin at Anamika, who was trying her level best to keep a poker face while mirth was bubbling inside her belly. Khushi nudged her and laughed along with the other ladies. As Ganesh vanished up the steps, the bell chimed once more. Chotey! was the prouncement by his fond sister, making Khushi blush. Hai Re Nandkisore! Buaji exclaimed as HP opened the door to Arnav. His entry had all faces lit with smile. Arnav who tried to get a glimpse of Khushi who was in the midst of ladies, was mesmerized seeing her. NK running down the steps to pull him by his arm was met with a Nannav, who stood rooted on to the spot, till he had looked at Khushi to his heart's content. She was in a bottle green lehenga with zari dots and zari border, with a matching choli and red duppatta with zari dots and zari border, that was vying with her cheeks. NK calling him Nannav, just got a, hmmm? from Arnav. NK's request, lets go up to your room was complied with great reluctance.

How to get into the hall, was NK's question before the men. Anamikaji and Khushiji will not object, Payal bhabi will turn her face away while they sneak in.The problem was with Naniji, Maasi and Di' and Buaji'. Envisioning Buaji had him stutter and stop. Akash asked, how to get in without getting caught? The hall was filled with Mehendi girls and the ladies from the neighbourhood. What is to be done was Gaurav's query and Scooby barked in excitement. After thinking for a while, Gaurav came up with an idea. He told them that they could send Scooby down and in his excitement he would run around barking, scaring the ladies and while Scooby was engaging them, they could slip in unnoticed! NK frowned at his suggestion saying, that Scooby was a puppy and not a fierce bulldog to scare the ladies. Arnav continued, that if there was any peda on any plate, then Scooby would be just wagging its tail in a friendly manner forgetting everything except the peda and the necessity of it to be in its tummy! His thought on Scooby and Peda had all in smiles thinking about Scooby's fondness for the sweet.

NK pacing the room, was deep in thought thinking of ways to get in and voiced out as to how to get in. Ganesh who was not into such things said, that it was a ladies only function and Mamiji had told him so. Arnav, with a laid-back attitude sat amidst them, watching the fun unfold. Even if they sneaked in they were bound to be caught, was Akash's contribution. At NK's suggestion, what if they dressed up as women, Gaurav looking down at his plastered limbs and said with a sigh, as a lady with a plastered limbs he would be caught out instantly and Ganesh added, that a lady of his size was outrageous! An Amazon from the myth! The image of Ganesh in a sari tickled Arnav no end that he had to look away. Maybe they could peep in through a window, was one more suggestion from NK, that got a reply, why don't they come in through the door, from Nani, who was smiling standing at the doorway. All stood up while Scooby barked. Walking in, catching Arnav and Ganesh by their arm she told them that it was a family function and they need not be kept out. She had informed the guests that their family would not be complete without the menfolk. Her words made all stare at her. She continued to say that, they need not raid Payal and Anjali Bitiya's shelves for fitting clothes and asked them to come down with her. Her offer had NK hug her, lift her off the ground and twirl her around saying, Nani you are the best! Her sound chuckle was joined by that of the rest, resounding through the mansion.

Ganesh sat down by Anamika, who was dressed in a beautiful bright ultramarine blue and Mantis green silk lehenga with embroidery, her willowy figure making her extremely alluring. The bright colours had enhanced the fairness of her skin and the silk of the material gave her skin a satiny look! Ganesh smiling into her eyes gave her a whispered compliment, that she looked beautiful. Anamika, whispering back, Thank you, kind Sir, handed over a few mehendi design books to him. Hiding her smile she asked him for his choice. Ganesh looked at the pamphlets and booklets but had no clue what they represented. He looked at Arnav for help and Arnav looked away to hide his smile at Ganesh's predicament.

Anamika told that Buaji was telling that the grooms too apply mehendi. Isn't it? she asked Buaji for confirmation. Buaji happily supported her saying, yes, it is so Nandkisore! Anjali not wanting to let go of this golden opportunity to tease them declared addressing her Nani, that as they all wanted to attend the mehendi function, they too will have their chance to apply mehendi! Grimacing, men looked at each other frantically and wondered what had they got themselves into? Gaurav whispered to Scooby to hide its paws or else it will be dyed orange. Scooby scamper under Nani's chair, crouching behind the folds of her sari. NK was worried how helpless that they would be if the ladies did not give up. So he sought the counsel of the Matriarch to come to their rescue by saying that they just wanted see the function but not participate, and he asked Nannav to confirm his statement.

But Arnav was sitting beside Khushi. While the the ladies were insistent upon boys apply mehendi and the boys were trying to escape from being infamed with the application of mehendi, on their hands, Arnav and Khushi heard none of the battle of wits raging around. They were involved and engrossed in one another and had totally zoned out of the melee. Arnav asked Khushi in a whisper, whether she was going to write his name on her palm, eliciting a response, why should she write his name? She would get Salman Khanji's name written on it, making his eyebrows shoot up. Arnav asserted that he, Arnav Singh Raizada was marrying her and not Salman Khan. The hazel-eyed imp sighed that, it looked like she would have to settle for him, making Arnav scowl. With an impudent smile and eyes twinkiling she asked him, will he get her name written on his hand? His immediate response, of course not, had Khushi give him an angry stare and turn away. In a smooth voice, she told the mehendi lady, to kindly write LGR on her hand. Her request had both the lady and Arnav fix a long vacant look at her! Khushi clarified, that it was an abridgement for Laad Governor Rakshas, making Arnav hide away his smile.

This update is about having an easy and complete control, as the idiom goes, TWIST AROUND ONE'S LITTLE FINGER.

On the day of Mehendi, the two grooms, Arnav and Ganesh, taking the word of Mami that it was an exclusively women only function, had immersed themselves in their work. But NK, Gaurav and Akash had different plan. They had planned to barge in and participate in the function, by hook or by crook. So when Gaurav called him Ganesh had to come. He was reprimanded that he needed to get himself updated with the latest by watching movies with Khushi! His son had him twisted around his little finger. Ganesh not only didn't want to disappoint Gaurav, he also wanted to witness, Anamika getting her mehendi done in his name. Ganesh insisted that Gaurav could have his way only if he did not tire himself out. Even amidst his excitement, Ganesh never forgot that his son was recuperating and his body needed rest as much as activity to recuperate.

"..that sanguine expectation of happiness which is happiness itself"

~ Jane Austen, Sense and Sensibility

Arnav who was engrossed in his work was roused by Akash asking him what was he doing going to work, when it was the day of the only mehendi that he would ever have of once in a lifetime wedding! Neither he nor him (Bhai) should be working and asked him to come home. When Arnav was about to refuse, sensing it would be so, NK snatching the phone from Akash used the reverse psychology effectively. He knew Arnav's deadly weakness, his Achilles' heel to be Khushiji. He used it very well to lure Arnav from his other interest, work. He told Arnav that it was a shame that he had to work when the gorgeous Khushiji was looking beautiful in green and red lehenga, but it was of no consequence as he needed to be at work and that was inevitable. He further added that Khushiji had asked for him and Di had teased her saying that Nannav had left her alone and gone away. How could he, Nannav Singh Raizada, waste half of his precious day, staring at his exquisite bride, while she had her mehendi done in his name. This teasing like nothing else worked wonders. Though he cut NK's call, as predicted by NK, he was at the doorstep within 30 minutes. Whether she wanted it or not, Khushi had him twisted around her little finger. It was unheard of till then that Arnav Singh Raizada, put his work in backburner for the sake of revelry!

"In all matters of creativity, rules are meant to be broken when necessary"

~ Haley Langford

Both Ganesh and Arnav, appeared one after the other much to the merriment of the ladies and it gave Anjali, a quiverful of arrows to shoot teasers, at Anamika and Khushi. Their act of appearing at RM had them, twisted around Anjali's little finger. She shot her first arrow asking who could be the fastest, Ganeshji or Chotey, that had the ladies in a fit of giggles.

~ Lionel Suggs

While the menfolk were debating, Nani gave them a solution to their problem by permitting them to be part of the rasam, instead of resorting into ludicrous ways to enter. While Ganesh complimented Anamika who was looking stunning, she thanked him and in the same breath slyly, asked him to choose a design. When he was at a loss to comprehend what was going on, she told him that grooms too apply mehendi, as per Buaji. It was then, Anjali fired her next arrow saying, since menfolk had wanted to participate in the function, it was mandatory that they too applied mehendi. This had the menfolk in a tizzy and a playful argument started with it. Anjali had the menfolk wrapped around her little finger.

"I wait for this rare and fleeting event because I can't think of anything else worth waiting for"

~ Peter Davis, Poetry! Poetry! Poetry!

While the argument was going on, Arnav and Khushi had drifted on to their own world. When he asked, was she getting his name written, her answer that she would get Salman Khan's name written riled him so much, it made him state that she was marrying him and not Salman Khan! If he was the earlier ASR, he would have walked out. But now he is Khushi's Arnav. That is why he clarified the reason for his query. In fact it was ASR who fell into the trap and was countered with would he get her name written on his palm. When he negated, Khushi who had been able to persuade him to do anything told the mehendi lady to write LGR on her hand, stunning both and had them gaping at her. Her clarification, that it was an abbreviation for Laad Governor Rakshas, had Arnav Singh Raizada in smiles. Khushi had the capacity bring about a smile in Arnav even when she was giving back to him as he loved her very much. He never went into the fit of anger that he was prone to, at her denial of getting his name Arnav Singh Raizada or his initials, ASR written on her palm. Writing the nicknames she had given him, the ones that he abhorred still had elicited smile from him. She had him wrapped around her little finger. That is what love had done to Arnav Singh Raizada. It had not only mellowed him, it had helped him to control his anger! It had given him an anchor, Khushi, who even when he was riled up had the capacity to elicit a smile from him.

"All you need is one safe anchor to keep you grounded when the rest of your life spins out of control"

~ Katie Kacvinsky, Awaken

Hence, I have titled the update TWIST AROUND ONE'S LITTLE FINGER.

That's it from me. Hope you enjoy it.
