[MEMBERSONLY]

[NOCOPY]

Smita,😊

Here is the interpretation to Part 36.

When Khushi led Arnav by the arm into Buaji's house, she took him to her room. Buaji was with Babuji and Amma was in the kitchen. Khushi making him sit on the bed, brought in cups of ginger tea and a plate heaped with pakoras. Giving him his cup of tea, she held out her hand with a pakora, for him to take a bite. Arnav Singh Raizada, sitting in Khushi Kumari Gupta's house in Laxmi Nagar, in her bedroom, eating from her hands, never felt happier than he was at present. It was pure bliss, he, his girl and the pakoras made by her, all alone! He asked her whether it was she who made the pakoras? When she smiled, a yes, he asked her to stretch her hand towards him. Complying she wondered at his quaint request. Catching hold of her arm, he pressing a kiss on her palm, he declared that it was for making pakoras. His explanation had Khushi giggle! Kissing her finger tips next he told her, that it was for feeding him. This increased her mirth. Holding on to her tummy she had a belly laugh. In between her fit of giggles, she told him that, if... if that was the way he thanked her... for making the pakoras... she had another fit of giggle then. Arnav waited for her with a smile on his lips. She continued with great difficulty, that he would have to... kiss Amma's hand too. After all she...she made the t... tea. By the end of it she was rolling on bed laughing her head off. Seeing her point Arnav too laughed with her and told her, that he would take a pass at it. Seeing Khushi struggle to control her mirth unsuccessfully, Arnav sporting a mock frown said, that she must be the most unromantic girl in this Universe! Khushi questioned him, is it so? The stuckup, snobbish Laad Governar was calling her unromantic! How very nice! Arnav hid his smile with difficulty and asked her, how could he lie? What was he supposed to do when she was unromantic?

Hearing his declaration, Khushi launching herself at him, started to tickle him. He was taken by surprise and was helpless. He had no other option but to undergo barrage of her tickles. While assaulting him with tickles, she asked him who was unromantic? Arnav begged mercy, Khushi... Khushi... let go...

But Khushi was relentless and asked him, Unromantic... and me? His, Khushi...Don't, had no effect on her. She gave him a piece of her mind, still continuing her tickles, that Let... Arnav... Singh... Raizada... know that she watches... Hindi phillum.. Then how can he call her... unromantic? When Arnav beseeched her to stop, she asked him, can he sing? Can... he dance? around a... tree... in the rain...? When he said No, Khushi... she persisted by asking, Can he... play any instrument and sing,a guitar? A piano? Or atleast a dholak? Arnav's loud laughter with a No, made her query, then how dare he... call her unromantic? With a huff and a puff she tickled him mercilessly making him cry out, Khushi... Khushi...

Buaji looked at Amma and rolled her eyes saying This Sanka Devi, Nandkisore! She will be the death of our Arnav babua! making Amma giggle. Buaji continued to say, some girls show their love by writing love letters.., Amma added to it saying, some knit sweaters as present.., Buaji continued with, some others saying sweet nothings over the phone, yet others hide behind the doors and peek at the boy while he was walking around their lane, was Amma's rejoinder. Buaji lamented, but our Titliya is showing her love by tickling Arnav Bitwaa, Nandkisore!

While Khushi asked Arnav, was he accepting defeat, her fingers were busy tickling him. Arnav who had never expected to be answered this way, laughingly told her that he is giving up. When Khushi took herself away from him crawling out of the bed, with a laugh he admitted, that he accepts defeat and she... she was the most romantic girl in this Universe!

With RM having more space, it was the first choice of Nani and the Raizadas for sangeet. They knew a big crowd could be fitted in easily over there, but at the request of Guptas it was decided that the sangeet would be held at Laxmi Nagar.

Laxmi Nagar did not have any facility for such a function. When such functions were held a marquee with a temporary stage would be set up on the road near the temple leaving a lane for the vehicular traffic. It was an open programme and all residents were welcome for such functions.

Buaji with the menfolk of the neighbourhood started to cordon off the road for their use. NK, Akash, Gaurav, Scooby, HP, Mamaji, Ganesh and Arnav helped the resident menfolk and set up a sturdy stage, while Nani, Mami, Anjali, Amma, Buaji, Anamika, Payal and Khushi arranged the food and drinks for the evening.

By evening everything was set. The stage looked beautiful, lit by series of lights flickering daintily. Multiple rows of seats were arranged for the guests and children were made to sit on the carpeted floor. Elders soon filled up the seats. The arrival of Arnav and Khushi along with Ganesh and Anamika amidst them was greeted by ear-splitting applause.

Gaurav was bestowed with the honor of conducting the program. As soon as the seats were filled up he walked on to the stage with the help of crutches. As the Master of Ceremonies he opened the program with, this day we are celebrating the Sangeeth of the two couples, Arnav and Khushi and also Anamika and Ganesh, to a thunderous applause with Scooby joining the crowd with his joyful barks. He continued with a smile, May every single day in their lives be filled with laughter, love, music, dance, and their family! It was received with a deafening cheer and claps.

This update is about pleasant and affable disposition, cheerful friendliness. It is BONHOMIE.

When Khushi entered Buaji's house with Arnav she took him directly to her room and got two cups of tea and a plateful of pakoras. Offering him the cup of tea, she held out the pakora to feed him. Arnav eating it out of her hand was happier than he had ever been in his lifetime. (Even otherwise she had him eat out of her hand doesn't she? Where has his shatir dimaag gone? On a holiday??) Very pleased with her feeding him without even being asked, and coming to know from her that it was made by her, (even though Amma and Buaji had told him so he loved to hear it from her mouth) he asks for her hand. When she stretches it in front of him he kisses her palm saying that it was for preparing pakoras. It makes her giggle. Then, it was the turn of finger tips for having fed him. His act of kissing her palm and finger tips tickles her funny bone. She has herself in splits. For Arnav kissing was a sensual action. That she has agreed and accepted but his explanations has her in splits. By the virtue of his reasoning, he had kissed her for preparing and feeding him pakoras, and by the same token he had to kiss for preparing his tea. But that tea was prepared by Amma and so she asks him whether he is going to mete the same treatment to her Amma? This is what makes her enjoy a hearty belly laugh. Hearing her explanation for her mirth, he too joins her but says he'll forego that privilege. Arnav's mock anger that Khushi must be the most unromantic girl in this Universe, has her ask why was it the stubborn, stuck up snobbish, Laad Governor was calling her unromantic? She is taken aback to be called unromantic by the very person who was the antithesis of romance. Khushi launched her attack, with her fingers being the weapon, she makes him admit that he was wrong and retract his statement. This was done in such an affable and pleasant disposition that both were laughing throughout. It was a genial fight. Her explanations have him double up. It was a riot of laughter as he was being tickled and over and above that, she was coming out with the funniest of explanations, why she should be called a romantic! The atmosphere that prevailed was one full of geniality. It was a natural bonhomie arising out of their love.

"A smile starts on the lips, A grin spreads to the eyes, A chuckle comes from the belly; But a good laugh bursts forth from the soul, overflows, and bubbles all around" ~ Carolyn Birmingham

Buaji and Amma, who heard their sounds of laughter were somewhat taken aback. Buaji's prediction that, the sanki ways of Sanka Devi was bound to hound Arnav Babua to death! had Amma in giggles. Both started to list out how usually girls showed their love to their Beau. When Buaji said about love letters, Amma's was, knitting sweaters. When Buaji said about cooing sweet nothings over the phone, Amma's was, peeping from behind the doors on to the streets when he is walking along their lane. Buaji told her, but their Titaliya was very different, she is manifesting her love with tickles! Truly sanki in her ways! What they saw was both Arnav and Khushi are ready to go to any length to accept whatever is doled out by the other. For them being with one another by itself was satisfactory. Having the other by their side was heaven by itself. Just because the way she showed her love, was not the way he wanted, did not mean she did not love him with everything she has. For Khushi was the follower of the adage, Seven days without laughter makes one weak. Like her name, she was Happiness personified and was the sunshine to all the lives she touched. For Arnav, it was not the question of winning or loosing. He knew he was in a win-win situation and he had purposely egged her to do this. For both, it was the joy of being with one another. It was a genuine bonhomie. This was the fact that both Buaji and Amma had recognized, as their way of being with one another.

"Love is, needing someone. Love is putting up with someone's quaint ways because they somehow complete you"

~ Sarah Dessen, This Lullaby

When sangeet was agreed to be conducted at Laxmi Nagar and not RM, Raizadas were unaware of what they would encounter. As the locality had no proper facility, the function was to be conducted outdoors, in a marquee with a stage on the road near the temple, as was the norm. During the sangeet, the residents joined in the festivity, they pitched in, even in the preparations. Any program in the locality was always participated by all with real gusto. Some of the menfolk went with Buaji and cordoned off the road, while others helped the Raizada menfolk, NK, Ganesh, Gaurav and Scooby (Hein!??) to set up a sturdy stage. They mingled and a bond was forged. The work was efficiently done and the atmosphere was one of geniality.

"When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed"

~ Maya Angelou

In the evening, the decorated stage was a sight pleasing to the eye. The seats filled up in no time by the guests and welcomed the to-be-wedded couples to a thunderous applause. Gaurav, had the rare opportunity to conduct the programme, the sangeet of his parents. His wishes for both the couples, that their every single day to be brightened with laughter, love, music, dance, and their family!, got a resounding applause and showed the general bonhomie present over there.

"Happiness quite unshared can scarcely be called happiness; it has no taste"

~ Charlotte Bronte

The entire update was about cheerful friendliness, BONHOMIE.

That's it from me. Hope you enjoy it.

P.S. Would love to know how media would be dealt when they were having a sangeet of business tycoon, Arnav Singh Raizada and the new toast of the town, Khushi Kumari Gupta,(thanks to Anamika's handiwork in fashion magazine) along with Fashion Diva, Anamika and Master fashion photographer, Ganesh Vidyarthi in open air?
