Chapter 41

A little while later, Nitesh with ruchi reached the new house. Roli smiled at them as they entered the hall. 

"Where you've disappeared suddenly last night?" Ruchi asked roli. 

Roli didn't know what to answer and looked at sid, who was staring at her coldly as he reminded of the fear of not being able to find her. 

"Sid was scared to death when you went missing" nitesh added, making roli to stare at sid continuously. 

"Shall we start the work we've come for?" Sid switched the topic as though he felt her stare. 

"Oh yeah, here... Take a look at these designs" ruchi pulled out two catalogs from her hand bag and passed to sid. 

Then they all settled in a round table kept at one side of the hall and started selecting the designs. 

Roli and ruchi were looking into one catalog while sid and nitesh in to the other. 

"This one looks good" roli pointed at one design. 

"Horrible" sid commented even without raising his head. 

Roli glared at him while he didn't bother to look at her and continued to look at the designs. 

"This" sid placed the catalog on the table as he pointed at one design. 

"I don't like it" roli said as a retaliation for his comment on her selection. 

"No one has asked for your opinion" sid stared at her as he said. 

"Then even I didn't ask for your opinion, yet you commented, right" roli rebutted, crossing her arms. 

"Enough enough" ruchi stopped before they started getting in to a fight. 

"Look, you both have selected light colour designs with kind of similar pattern. Let's do one thing, from these both, one design will be for downstairs and the other will be for upstairs. Is it okay?" Ruchi suggested, thoughtfully. 

RoSid stared at each other without saying a word. 

"Is it okay?" Ruchi repeated while rosid nodded in response. 

"Well, this is gonna be my first project officially, so wish me luck" ruchi said as she felt a bit nervous to take up this responsibility of designing such a big house as her first project. 

"You'll do the best" roli turned her attention from sid and smiled at ruchi to comfort her. 

"Hope so.." ruchi smiled back. Suddenly she remembered something and said "and guys, ritika is being discharged from hospital today. She said they're coming back to this city itself". 

"Wow! Then our whole gang will be back together again" nitesh said in excitement. 

"Yeah. And with the extra member joining in" ruchi said as she hugged roli from sideways. 

Roli leaned on to her with a smile. In the short span of time, these both girls got really close to each other. 

Before the night hit, they left the house and drove away in their respective directions. 

While driving back to bharadwaj house, sid actually slowed down the speed a bit. But, roli was still scared and continued to hug him tightly until he stopped the bike at bharadwaj house entrance. 

Next few days passed in a blink of an eye as they got back to their routine college days. 

Nothing had changed between RoSid. They still continued to bicker with each other whenever they feel like annoying the other. 

Though they never sweet talk about their relationship, it still continued to blossom in the depths of their hearts and they both knew it too. 

A month later, ritika's family shifted to delhi, where they used to stay before. And ritika too got back to her normal life. 

As a welcome party for ritika, ruchi had planned for a get together. From then on roli and ritika too became good friends. Ritika never treated sid as more than a friend, which made roli  relieved and like her more. Roli was possessive for that matter but, that's how love is, Possessive. 

Soon it was their examination time. Roli was giving her second semester and sid was final semester. 

It was almost one year since they met. Roli's arrival had brought a lot for sid. She was the only one with whom he could be himself. 

Sid witnessed a new self of him when he was with her which he wouldn't have known otherwise. And now he couldn't even imagine his life without her as his day would start and end with her. 

The next day of their exams were completed. In evening, roli was in hall, settled in a sofa and chatting in her phone. She seemed so involved in the phone that she didn't even notice sid, who just returned home and sat next to her. 

Sid stared at her for a while to gain her attention but failed. Roli was smiling as she typed something in her phone. Sid glanced at her phone screen and found her chatting in whatsapp. His face turned cold as he lost his patience and snatched her phone. 

Only then roli raised her head and found sid near her. Her face showed annoyance at how sid snatched her phone. 

"Give my phone back" roli tried to take it back but, she couldn't reach his hand. 

"Who are all these?" Sid furrowed, looking at the group chat in her phone. 

"My classmates. It's my class group" roli replied, stopping her tries to take her phone back. 

"Who are these rajesh, pritam and all other idiots?" Sid scrolled her chat list and found there were mostly boys names in the list. It was the first time he was checking on her phone. 

"I said my classmates. Now give it back to me" roli felt annoyed and leaned on to him to snatch her phone away. 

Sid wrapped his left hand around her shoulder and held her hands, making roli caged in his arm. While he continued to hold her phone in his right hand and read the messages. 

"Why you're chatting with those scumbags?" Sid gritted his teeth as he asked. 

"I didn't chat with anyone. They wanted notes to prepare for exams and I just sent them" roli looked up at his face and said angrily. 

Sid had already understood that after looking at those chats. Roli didn't send anything else other than files contained notes. But, those guys replied thank you messages with hearts and that's what made sid angry. How dare those idiots to send hearts to his roli. Luckily, those guys weren't near sid now otherwise he would have ripped off their hearts. 

"Planning for goa trip?" Sid raised his eyebrows, reading the messages in their class group. 

"Now we are having holidays so they're planning for it" roli said calmly. 

"And you said yes" sid turned to roli after seeing her reply in the group. 

"They all are forcing me so.." roli replied slowly. She knew sid might not be agreed to let her go on a trip so she was trying to be polite now to make him agree. 

"They're forcing and you said yes?" Sid said in disdain. 

"I said yes only after asking mataji, maa and papa" roli said. 

"They agreed?" Sid was surprised. While roli nodded her head in response. 

"But, I'm not agreed. So, you're not going" sid said as he turned his attention back to her phone. 

"I don't need your permission" roli blurted out in anger. Sid glared at her, making her silent. 

"I want to go" after watching his seriousness, roli left her anger mode and started pleasing him with a pout. 

"No means no" sid declared in his authoritative voice. He knew how those guys of roli's class were trying to get near her. After all, she was popular in the college for her academics and of course her looks too. And sid could never let his roli go with those scumbags. Not because he doubt her but, because he cares for her. 

"Here, I've blocked those idiots numbers, don't unblock them. If they want notes, give them my number, I'll send them the notes they want. And you're not going anywhere" sid handed the phone back to roli and left to his room. 

Roli was dumbfounded as she found sid had blocked all the boys' numbers of her class. 

"I told you already that he won't agree" sujata, who was coming out of the kitchen, happened to overhear their conversation and said as she reached roli. 

"But, I want to go, maa" roli looked at sujata with a puppy face. Initially, roli wasn't interested to go but, her classmates forced her by showing all the beautiful pictures of different places in goa that her interest gradually started growing. And now when she was really interested to go, sid wouldn't let her. 

Sujata shrugged her shoulders as there was nothing she could help regarding this matter.
