Your Way - My Way

Actually this was supposed to be the Epilogue for my SS: Love Thy Enemy but it's been too long that it ended and I never got time to post this one. So I'm posting this as an OS separately...

This is especially dedicated to my dearest Amna aka amna_ali who pestered me so much that I was forced to post something... anything before the weekend...

Arnav and Khushi were to get married in 10 days and Anjali had kept a Pooja for god only knows what reason this time. Every one was gathered in RM for the Pooja except Khushi, who was still at home getting ready. When every one started wondering what was taking her so long, obviously the ever ready groom volunteered to go and check on her.

Arnav walked up to her room and stood leaning against the door frame. Khushi was searching for something in her wardrobe and had her back towards him, or rather bare back would be proper as she had pulled her hair to the front and the dori of her blouse was yet untied. Arnav hesitated for a moment, she would give him hell for what he was willing to do. But how could he stop himself?

He slowly walked towards her and stood behind taking her in his arms and leaning in to place an open mouthed kiss on her shoulder. Khushi gasped in surprised for a moment but then closed her eyes and leaned her head back on his shoulder. Arnav smiled against her skin as he continued to kiss along her shoulder, neck and jawline. It had been almost two months that he had been this close to her.

But then there was another gasp as Khushi came back to her senses and turned around pushing him back.

"What the...?!" He exclaimed as he staggered back a few steps.

"What do you think you are doing Raizada?" She asked giving him a death glare. "Haven't I made it clear that you are not allowed to touch me?"

"But that's so unfair Khushi. We're engaged, this much should be allowed." Arnav protested like a sulky child.

"Not even a finger Raizada. Stay away." She warned.

"But just a little..." He begged.

She sighed, "It's either going to be your way or my way, so you decide."

Arnav rolled his eyes in frustration, "Can't there be a middle way?"

"NO!!!" She said stubbornly.

"Oh stop it Khushi." He said thoroughly annoyed. "It has been two months and you haven't allowed me to even hold your hand before today."

"And don't even try or you know what?" She reminded him.

But he didn't need reminders. A week ago he had tried to kiss her forcibly and she had stamped on his foot with full force, high heels and all. He had limped around for two days after that.

"Your being ridiculous Khushi." He reasoned, "Engaged couples do kiss."

"Every thing can't be your way Arnav." She argued.

"My way, my foot." He almost hissed at her. "Given your way you would ravish me right now and here."

"Hah!!!" She mocked him, "Given MY way I would have ravished you three months ago when you confessed your love to me and every day after that." She said poking painfully in his chest as he stared at her open mouthed.

She took in a deep breath and continued, "It was your silly idea that we don't make love until we get married."

"I want to do this the right way Khushi." He said frustrated, "Traditionally doesn't the bride always hesitate from making love before marriage?"

"Alright, so that's what I'm doing." She said raising an eyebrow and folding her arms across her chest.

"But you won't even let me touch you..." He said in a small voice.

"It's too much hard work Arnav, following all these rules. It's hard not to get carried away when you kiss me like you do." She said turning away tying the dori of her blouse. "So it's best you don't touch me at all." She smirked at him. "And besides, it's just 10 days right? So... what's the rush?" She asked innocently.

"Whatever..." He said through clenched teeth glaring at her. "Di is waiting we should leave." He turned around and stormed out of her room as she followed with a devilish grin.
