Chapter 10

Tragedy

Days were passing and finally a week completed of their marriage but they had not even talked 7 times without having a fight. Their morning use to start with a fight and a night use too end up with a fight too. Khushi was trying hard to reduce the distance between them and make him fall for her but all were efforts were going in vain. They were arguing on every small thing. He was never interested in her and this was visible to Khushi. She tried several times to talk with him but as usual he avoided her and left her questions unanswered. Khushi at time gets highly irritated with his anger and taunts but she never understood why he used to call her cheap and down market. Last night too when they fought he spoke the same thing. But the reason for the fight was too small.

Last night Khushi was watching television and Arnav was busy in checking some mails. Khushi was watching her favourite actor's movie which is none other than her Salman ji. She don't like anyone disturbing her while watching the movie. Everyone else present in the room becomes invisible to her while watching the movie and she gets into a different world. While watching the movie she herself doesn't knew when the volume of the television raised to very high. And the great Arnav Singh Raizada was fuming in anger as the volume was rising every bit. Though he tried ignoring but it was hell irritating when a romantic scene came up. though he was pretending that he is not watching but he cant help his ears...the romantic dialogue were going in his ears too and for the first time he was feeling a bit awkward.

Arnav (to himself)-"is she trying seducing me...?"

Arnav-( to khushi)-"change the channel..."

But khushi was so busy with the movie that she didn't heard him speaking...

Arnav-( a bit louder this time)-"cant u hear...change the channel..."

Khushi felt like someone said something but she ignored because she knew Arnav is not watching. This ignorance was irritating Arnav...he got up and made her face him.-"what the hell are you watching...and cant you hear me..."

Khushi was so taken a back and this time it was definitely her fault of ignoring him just managed to say-"JI...wo hum...hum...(and showed him the remote) tv..."

Arnav-"shut up...and change the channel..."

Khushi-" why...( her heart pained on this...she cant change a channel when Salman Khan's movie is coming...) I ...i...want to..."

Arnav-"I said just change it..."

Khushi (with broken heart she picked up the remote and starting changing the channel and Arnav went to the bed again)-"what the hell is his problem...why don't he let me watch anything...( she was going through the channel when she got a one which she thought Arnav will be liking it. As she turned on to that channel a horrified man came up literally screaming on the top of his voice-" SANSANI...SANSANI...SANSANI..."

Arnav instantly looked up to see the source of noise. A man himself looking a criminal was anchoring a crime show...( getting up)-" now what the hell is this.."

Khushi-(very sweetly as if she don't know anything)-"Crime show...your favourite..."

Arnav-"my favourite...is this your brain speaking or your stupid research on me???"

Khushi-( very proudly thinking her guess is right)-" wo I thought you all the time keep saying na...you married me for money...you want to kill me when I made the kheer...remember...so I thought you must be watching all these shows...which have alerted your criminal brain haina..."

Arnav-(with great seriousness)-" are you mad?" khushi just looked straight in his eyes as if not understanding what he just said..."you and your stupidity...I will watch all this...? Have you lost your senses...it's the girl like you who watches such shows and then plan to trap rich boys. These nonsense are spoiling the girls. You and your shows..."

Khushi-"I was watching the movie..you came in between.."

Arnav-"this is my house...and my television too..."

Khushi was pissed of with his my..my -"this is samsung's television not yours...and if I am not wrong I don't think your company manufacture television sets as well. ( and she folded her hands and stood infront of him as if asking now reply).

Arnav was hell irritated with her and her challenging replies...how dare she talk to him like that when he is already angry...he holded her hand and dragged her to her side of room..."no more television for today...and get out...I want to sleep.."

Khushi was now getting used to of such things. She had understood that it is his nature. And Anjali too had told her once that he is very short tempered. So she was now okay with his attitude. As he left her hand...she entered the room again...Arnav was surprised..."how dare she...?" but Khushi being Khushi entered the room...took her pillow and blanket and went to her side...and shut the glass window behind. He was really surprised with this and also retired to bed.

This was the last night incident where which they both fought. Now its early Sunday morning and Raizada family was slowly getting up. Arnav too was relaxing as its Sunday and was in a mood to get up late. He was willing to sleep more when suddenly his phone buzzed and he woke up. it was Lavanya's text message.."meet me at the Caf today at sharp 5". Arnav saw the message and was keeping his phone back when he saw Anjali standing near the another door which too was opening on the poolside. He was shocked as well as scared seeing her. She was looking at Khushi which was completely covered with blanket from head to toe. She was suspecting something and to know the truth she moved from their. Arnav saw her going somewhere and he was damn sure that she is coming to his room. He instantly got up from his bed but his mind was not able to think anything. He cant neither brought her in or he can do anything. His time was running out and an idea clicked his mind. Without even thinking further he opened the French door and rushed to Khushi who was sleeping covering herself from head to toe to protect herself from everyday's early morning attack of Arnav with water.

Arnav immediately went near to her and entered her blanket without evening thinking something and covered himself too with the blanket from head to toe. The floor was very cold but yet he managed. Khushi was lying in position that her back was facing Arnav. With someones sudden entry she gasped and and was said..-"kon..."

Khushi could hardly complete her sentence when suddenly Arnav covered his mouth. Khushi was too shocked with this that she starting wiggling . arnav was now with one hand holding her mouth and with other holding her from her stomach to stop her.

Arnav-"KH..." And even before he could complete his sentence Khushi bite him hard on his fingers covering her mouth..."Ouch..Kh...(whispering loudly in her ear)

Khushi-"umm...(wiggling continuously)...eemmm... and Arnav removed his hand from her mouth. Khushi got a chance to get up and tried getting up when Arnav suddenly pulled her. She fell down crashing on his chest. Khushi took a deep breath and instantly got uo to see Arnav in her blanket. "what are..." . His eyes were showing her anger. As she was about to speak...he kept his index finger on her lips.

Arnav-"shh... and sleep" their lips were inches apart and Khushi's heart was racing hard with the closeness. They were so close for the first time. and then Arnav suddenly realized that he was touching her lips. He removed his finger and then suddenly the door of their room opened. Khushi was so much scared with the noise that she fell on him again. Arnav was now holding her from her back so that she may stop wiggling. Khushi too was hiding herself in his chest and closing her eyes. She was very scared now. "what if someone sees them like this..."

Anjali came in their room and scanned the room completely to check Arnav. She even checked the washroom but he wasn't their. Then her eyes fell upon the blanket lying near the poolside. Their was continous wiggling under the blanket and she understood that both were together under it. She fell shy thinking about them and walked out of the room closing the door lightly. As she walked out from the room Khushi cupped his face with concern and began

Khushi-"are you..ok..." (taking his hand in her)-"did I bite you really hard and then she saw her teeth marks on his finger...getting up from him and removing the blanket she sat in front of him. He too got up but he was very angry. Looking at his finger he was about to lose his temper but khushi again took his hand and watched it carefully.

Khushi-"I am...am..so...sorry...( and a tear dropped from her eyes) ...wo actually...I was getting ...sobs...suffocated..."

Arnav then remembered about her asthma and realized it was somewhere his mistake. -"it...its...okay...don't cry..."

Khuhsi-"no..i am very...(sobs) bad...i have hurt my husband...(sobs)

Arnav-(the word husband surprised him and he felt a bit awkward too...he felt the need of changing the topic)-"I am fine..i have to pretend that we were sleeping together... but from tomorrow you will not sleep here..."

Khushi-(thinking that now a new punishment is coming her way...but she cant sleep in his room now she cant sleep near poolside...where she will sleep?)-"ji...but where will i( wiping her tears) sleep"

Arnav-" in the room"

Khushi-(with widened eyes)-"JIII...but how..."

Arnav-"now no more questions and get up...you will be sleeping inside..i don't want any risk from now...and its even very cold here"

Khushi-(with full of excitement and stopping his way)-"that means I can use the bathroom first too...and she smiled broadly...

Arnav (stopping from going in)-"no...I will be using the bathroom first..."

Khushi-"but...ok ( to settle the matter) I have an idea...the one who gets up early will use the washroom first...ok..."

Arnav-(linking what she said)-"okay...then be ready to use it second (almost challenging her and walked to the bathroom.

Khushi was too happy that she can sleep in and may use the bathroom first too.

Khushi was very happy the entire day and kept on dreaming her much needed sleep.she will be sleeping on the bed after so long. Whole day she was smiling and looked very fresh that everyone noticed her extra happiness. Looking at her everyone thought that Sunday is the reason of her happiness but no one knew that the reason is sleeping on the bed.

At the Caf

Lavanya was waiting for Arnav for a very long time. but he was very late as usual as Ajali never allowed him to leave as its his first Sunday with Khushi but somehow he managed to run from their. After the morning incident the Raizada Mansion was suffocating him. And Khushi was feeling so shy looking at him that he himself was not able to understand why is she doing so...As he reached the caf Lavaya got up angrily.

Lavanya-"why are you so late...before marriage you were always on time...then??"

Arnav-(though he was late because of his wife but to cover up he lied)-"no..actually..i was busy in video conference...but you tell me...why you called me??"

Lavanya-"I need to talk about us??"

Arnav-"US??"

Lavanya-"yes..how long will all this continue..?"

Arnav-"WHAT???"

Lavanya-"I mean all this marriage and your drama..."

Arnav-"I am already clear about this..."

Lavanya-"but...you know very well...i love you so much...and still you married her...what is my mistake in all this?? Was loving you my mistake...????"

Arnav and Lavanya were in relationship from their college but Arnav never took it seriously. It was just a status for him but Lavanya was getting indulge in this relationship with every passing days. She somewhere knew that Arnav will definitely love her one day as she knew he is abit reseved kind of a person. He never like all this love drama. She loved him a lot even from their college and she knew Arnav wont propose her ever so she took the effort and proposed him to which Arnav cant deny. He somewhere knew that Lavanya loves him a lot and being her friend he cant deny her. He accepted her proposal but he don't like all this marriage and relationships...now when he had to marry Khushi he knew that Lavanya is very upset with it..and he didn't like it.

Arnav-"its...okay...I am trying every bit to get out of it...but you know Di..."

Lavanya-"what about me..."

Arnav-"I trying na..."

Lavanya-"I had seen you before too...you were never took me seriously...and now that down market girl...and she sobs.."

Arnav-"its just a compromise you know this...and I am doing this for Di ..."

Lavanya-" I am hearing this from long...how long should I wait...my brother is coming tomorrow and he wants me to marry...what will I tell him that you married someone else..and you consider me as friend...???"

Arnav-(the situation was getting hard to handle but yet he was trying is best to manage every bit of it)-" its just 8 months from now and she goes her way and I my way..."

Lavanya-"but she is always around you 24*7... I am scared what if she tries to seduce you or she tries to harm you...or you family...you don't know such girls..."

Arnav-(he remembered the morning incident but remained silent)-"that wont happen in any case...I am their for my family...and you don't have to worry about me..i am not a baby..."

Lavanya-"but..(cutting her in the middle..)- Arnav continued and as far I have known her she is not of that kind...I have already told you..."

Lavanya-"I don't know anything..i have already told you I cant share you...I love you...I cant just cant imagine a day with you...and I even cant imagine you with that girl..."

Arnav-(feeling a bit uneasy with all this...and he didn't replied her on this topic now)-"okay...lets talk about something... its been so long we had a coffee together...lets have it peacefully" though Lavanya never liked that he never reply her whenever she says I love you...but she is okay with it now...

They sat in the caf for few more hours and finally left from their. Arnav reached home a bit late but he joined everyone for the dinner and the entire Raizada family retired to their respective rooms.
