Part 26

The photoshoot began few hours ago. Arnav was seating on a chair while his eye was only on the shoots. He didn't pay any attention what was going on surround him and with the person besides him. Perfection..! Is what he needs as AR's outcome result.

Khushi was standing near few employees and Aman was also there beside her. She was busy noting down something on the notepad that's when Aman shook her shoulder to get her attention.

Aman: "Khushi.. Are you free..? Let's have lunch together.." She lifted her gaze and looked at him. At first she didn't want to but after thinking for sometimes she didn't found any reason to reject Aman though. He was always nice to her and that's make her accept his offer for a lunch together.

Khushi: "Okey.. But your treat.. Not mine because you offer it not me.." Aman chuckled on the way she responded on his request.

Aman: "Okey.. Done..! I will wait for you at the entrance and come soon.." She nodded in agreement and continued her pending work which she left due to interruption.

The take for today finally come to end. Khushi was busy talking with the photographer and saw few snaps of Veronica. She was really impressed with the outcome and silently praised Veronica for the charms she has to make every snaps of her outstanding. Even though, she dislike Veronica in real but in professional term she likes her work. Deep down, her heart do whispered why she dislikes Veronica..? The query was left un-answered as she was again engrossed in her job.

Veronica marched towards Arnav whom was with his mobile. She puts her hand on his shoulder so his full attention will fall on her.

Veronica: "Arnie.. What's the plan..?"

Arnav (Still with the mobile while speaking): "What plan..?"

Veronica: "Oh come on.. We met after such a long time.. We should go out for lunch.. I don't even remember when was the last time we had lunch together.." Her blabbering started with her pin pointing what they do before and what they didn't. Arnav wasn't much care on what she was saying as he was already busy with the mobile checking important mails from his clients. "Arnie.. Are you even listening to me..?" She realized through his action.

Arnav: "Huh..?"

Veronica: "Let's go out for lunch.. I'm damn hungry.." Arnav didn't argue much after that and agreed to join her for lunch. They walked together as usual Veronica's hand were stick on his arm.

While, walking outside they saw Aman busy checking and signing documents. Arnav approached him.

Arnav: "Aman.. You want to join us for lunch..?" Veronica's jaw dropped..! She really hope Aman reject this offer of Arnav as she didn't plan to spoil her date with other presence. She need ASR's full concentration on her so that she can repair their old relationship and be together again.

Aman: "Errmm.. No ASR.. I have some other plans.. You enjoy with Vero's company.. I'm sure you both will have fun.." Veronica sighed in relief..

Without exchanging anymore words, Arnav and Veronica walked away from the premise and drove to the respective restaurant.

Khushi run to Aman as she was already late 5 minutes. They too started from AR and the venue was chosen by Aman after taking little opinion of her regarding what she likes. She didn't specific much and just reply she is happy as long there is food for her to eat as for now she is damn hungry.

They reached at the Spanish Restaurant which was chosen by Aman. After giving the car keys to the guard, Khushi and Aman walked in the restaurant. Aman extended his arm for Khushi to hold and that only bring confusion in her.

Khushi: "This is for what..?"

Aman: "Khushi, this is a respected restaurant.. We can't just enter like that.. We should go in as a couple that's what they did in Spanish restaurant.."

Khushi: "I have never heard about this Aman.. I was staying abroad for years and this is the first time I heard something like this.. Are you trying to fool me..?"

Aman: "Why would I fool you..? Will it bring any benefits to me..? There are many couples inside so it shouldn't make difference though.. Hurry up and hold my hand.. I'm starving now and you are delaying again.." Khushi passed a weak smile to Aman and wrapped her hand on Aman's arm. He looked satisfied with her move.

They went in the restaurant with a waiter escorting them to a table. However, what been seen by Khushi literally made her stop from taking step ahead. Her eyes were glued on a respective couple which was busy having their meal. Aman too looked at her appointed gaze and he do notice some changes on her face.

Aman: "Should we join them..?" She eyed him angrily..

Khushi: "Don't get on my nerves Aman..!" with stern voice..

Aman: "You sound like ASR.. Staying under a same roof and working with him not to forget being with him for 24/7 you turning exactly like him.." He was just trying to lightening her mood.

Khushi: "I'm warning you Aman.. If you want to take his name before me than I'm walking out from here.. Henceforth, don't invite me for any lunch or dinner date.. I'm less interested.." Aman could see she wasn't in a mood to take any jokes.

Aman: "Then we should go for another restaurant.."

Khushi: "That's fine.. Seem we are here so better have it here instead of wasting the time in changing the venue.."

The waiter guided them to their table but as usual not everything is in their hand. Arnav who were looking around saw Aman with Khushi. Well, shock would be underestimate if he said he wasn't surprised seeing them both here and that too holding hand. He thought of asking them to join their table which made him call Aman who was only few steps away from his table.

Arnav: "Aman.." Khushi and Aman looked at Arnav while Veronica was looking at them. Uneasiness, clearly visible on her face..

Khushi: "Don't you dare walk to his table Aman.." She tried to worn with her words only heard by Aman..

Aman: "Khushi we don't have any option.. I suggested for another restaurant and you was the only one who denied so now I can't help.." They walked toward Arnav's table with plastering a smile on their face. Only Khushi knew how much she was cursing her faith. She still remembers what conversation they had yesterday and how their relationship is progressing currently. The three words which he uttered were still ringing in her ear. She can never forget that anytime soon unless she lost her memories and that can never happen for unnecessary.

Arnav: "You here..?"

Aman (Faking a smile): "What a coincident ASR.. Haina, Khushi..?" Khushi gives a deadly looked to Aman but yet she smiled even it's just been plastered.

Arnav: "Join us.." That's what been feared by Khushi, Aman and Veronica itself. Aman pulled a chair for Khushi and without creating scenes she seat on the chair with a faking smile on her face. Aman too took a seat opposite to Khushi as the seat beside Khushi was occupied by Veronica and Arnav who were seating opposite to each other. They ordered their meal and continue having quietly. Khushi was feeling little awkward to seat with him and the lady beside her was somewhere showing cunning look to her. She just hates all this..!

Aman: "Errmm.. Khushi there are some sauce at the corner of your lips.." He tried to point and the entire eyes move towards her. Khushi tried to find the sauce so that she can rub off but unfortunately she didn't found it. "This side Khushi.." he again directed her the position but yet again she was failed to find.

Aman took the liability to rub for her by standing up a bit and his hand were about to reach her lips but before it could a hard grip of a person stopped him from even touching her. There were pin drop silences between them when they saw Arnav moves his hand toward Khushi's lip and wipe the sauce carefully. *dhak* *dhak* Yet again her heart were skinning. She could feel the same waves she felt when he confessed.

Once he was done, he continues having the meal as nothing happen among them. Veronica looked at Khushi and then follows by Arnav. She gulped down a glass of plain water trying to calm herself. This is not the time to lose sense.. That's what she told herself. Aman knew the love Arnav has for Khushi and this move of his didn't surprised him though. He had seen the madness in him when Khushi was trapped in the ghost house and he saved her from the burning tent by risking his life for her.

Veronica: "If you don't mind.. Can I know what your name..is?" She tried to build the conversation with a mission to know more about her and trying to erase the silence among them.

Khushi: "Khushi.. Khushi Malhotra.." She replied shortly in between having her meals.

Veronica: "Nice name.. I saw you in AR too.. You work there..?"

Khushi: "Yeah.. I'm doing my internship as a Assistant designer and ASR's personal assistant.." Veronica raised her left brow in unbelievable. Both important and qualify position given to Khushi..? Strange..!

Veronica: "Ohh.. I must say you have a great bounding with the chief of AR.. Haina..?" Khushi doesn't like the way the conversation were moving as she was using ASR for her needs.

Aman: "Vero.. Actually, Khushi is a family friend. Malhotra and Raizada shared a very strong friendship since years so that's why Khushi are working with ASR temporary until her internship come to end.."

Veronica: "Ohh.. That's new for me.." There were again silences blooming around them. None of them uttered a word henceforth. They were flying in their own world. Arnav was busy with his mobile checking mails and Aman was busy with his meal same goes with the ladies.

The sudden bell rang on Khushi's mobile distracted the silence that they were having. Khushi immediately answered her call with a broad smile playing on her lips.

Khushi: "Now you remember to call me..? Do you realize how much I missed you these days..?" She was pouncing on the opposite person neglecting those who were before her eyes. "No.. No.. I'm still angry on you.. You can't do this to me.. (PAUSE) For a punishment you have to gift me something really special and big.. (PAUSE) This is not done.. Next time I'm not going to call you Baby.." She was engrossed with the phone calls. Aman looked at ASR to read his expression. Yet again he was showing I don't care look. It was too hard to predict him. In some minutes, he was truly a gentlemen and the next moment he proves everyone wrong by turning into a most dangerous beast. But least they know, what was going on in ASR mind and heart. This was the second time he was hearing the word Baby. At first he heard when he was dropping her to college and he asked her even though she didn't reply. And now he would never open his mouth as he already promised that he won't poke his nose in her life and will never come in between her happiness. If her happiness lies in that person than that will be the end for their story. There is no use of forcibly making her seat beside him when she don't have any loves and cares for him.

The call been cut and she told Aman that they need to leave now or else they will be late. Even, they are seating with the chief here but being an employee she didn't want to enter in bad list. Aman and Khushi left from the restaurant leaving Veronica and ASR behind.

Veronica: "So she has a boyfriend? Well, she is beautiful so obviously she will have one.. Right Arnie..?" She simply bring those words forward..

Arnav: "I have a meet in one hour.. We should move now.." he tried to avoid the question.

Veronica (Holding his hand to stop him): "Don't you think we should start from fresh and give a chance to our relationship Arnie..? Maybe we can learn to know each other more after this..?" Pulling his hand from her hold..

Arnav: "No.. I don't think so.. Our chapter is close and I don't like to open old books.." He said sternly. Veronica felt dejected by his replies but she remains cool. She knew she can earn him one day. She has the beauty to seduce him and all the man are same when it come to passionate encounter and ASR wasn't less.. "Let me settle the bills.. You wait outside.." He walked towards the counter to pay the bills while Veronica was about to stand that's when she saw Khushi approaching near her. She took the note pad which she left on the table.

Khushi: "I forgot this.." Showing the notepad to Veronica..

Veronica: "I think we should meet again.. This couple date was fruitful.. I and ASR patch up again and we decided to give a new chance to our relationship. My happiness are flooding.." For the first time ever, Khushi's eyes moist as she could feel she is losing someone which was ONLY belongs to her. Her heart ached in numerous unknown pains. She doesn't know how she should react on this news..? Veronica patted her shoulder bring her back to reality.. "Khushi won't you congrats me..?" Khushi hurriedly waves away her tears before it could fall down and create suspiciousness.

Khushi (Clutching the notepad): "Congratulation.. My best wishes is always with you.." Those words were not from her heart. She quickly excused herself as she was feeling suffocated to be here. Veronica smiled winningly. She can notice there is something fishy in ASR's and Khushi's relationship. The silence among them proves everything.
