Chapter 6

Writer's Note

He took a deep breath closing the files and then the lid of his laptop, a hot pain lanced through the back of his skull, and a gasp of pain erupted his lips, he has worked on some files since the afternoon without taking a break and now he was feeling really exhausted and tired and beside all this Today for the first time after marriage he was going home quite late night .Khushi must would be worried for me. A sudden thought hit the most sensitive part of his heart and a slight smile touched the corners of his lips. You're expecting too much Mr.Arnav Singh Raizada she isn't your lover or you both aren't like a lovely-dovey couple so she would get angry at you for coming late at home or ask for your well being on the phone. He shrugged but couldn't control his heart to wish for this dream to be true.

A sudden sound of upcoming call caught his attention, his eyes flushed with the slight shock to see her name flashing on the screen and it took his breath for a moment, "Arnav ---where are you? You didn't inform me you won't back home at time I'm worried for you"

Her soft, feminine husky voice filled with the worry and he could imagine the lines of panic on her forehead and the slight anger in those deep eyes. He felt his voice stuck in his throat for a moment to feel the strange wave of emotions rushed through his veins, he couldn't confess to even himself how he felt at that time but it felt like he was seeing some dream, a beautiful dream that his life had offered him and he didn't want to open his eyes as he feared what if someone snatched his dreams or what if they broke but---but still he wanted to feel those strange emotions and wanted to pour them in his heart. "Arnav are you there?"

Her worried yet slow voice brought him back to his trance of thoughts and he jerked himself coming out of his thoughts with the slight flicker of his eyes, "Hun! Yeah'I'm here'I'm fine--it's just I was so engrossed in work so didn't realize I got late to go back home"

He sucked in a deep breath trying to cover up the emotion in his voice and heard her sigh of relief but her next word amazed him once again, "you should've informed me about your late arrival but you don't care about others"

She exploded in an angry tone and Arnav couldn't keep the smile back and it touched his lips.

"You are right I should've informed you"

She gasped in a bit surprise at his reply, in spite giving her hard reply back he spoke so sweetly confessing and accepting his fault, her breath caught in her throat to sense he titling in her body as he called her in his husky voice.
"Khushi..umm Thanks"

. "For what??"She gasped and then let out a breath of hesitation arching her brows in confusion, "For waiting for me'worrying for me" Her expressions turned into amusement and then a pink color crept over her face she didn't know why she felt strange wave of emotions through her veins something----something she never felt before'never experienced before, she couldn't resist a smile that touched her soft pink lips and took a breath before parting her lips to speak.

"So when'when are you coming back home?"

Ignoring the loud thud of her heart her voice came out a bit shaking with the hesitation as he would be waiting to hear something else, she felt heat rise in her face, and She hit herself for assuming and thinking like this.

A rush of disappointment rushed through his veins and even flashed over his face as she ignored his words and her questioning tone came from the other side'he didn't know why he felt disappointed it might because of he wanted to hear something else from her but what?.He didn't know he groaned inwardly in frustration and slapped his thought and then scolded himself for taking her words so deeply.

"I'm coming back home in half an hour"

He composed himself and his voice came out like a soft whisper but she didn't know why she felt the edge of disappointment in his voice and her heart leaped, gasping air to collect her composure, she felt her voice stuck in her throat to feel the silence from his side and pondering in her mind what should she say him? She gulped air and then spoke with the slight shiver of her voice leaving him in a beautiful shock for a moment, "I'll wait.

This time He smiled broadly at her words penetrated in his ears and touched the door of his heart. He didn't know when she cut the call? When she said him goodbye? But he knew just one think he never felt complete like this before.
