Chapter 17

Arnav: Yah aman..what? Are you mad...I already told you I want that deal anyhow..how can you be so irresponsible.. got dammit. he shout at him. Khushi get startled.

Arnav: Aman.. I don't need any explanation.. do you got it. Do what you want.. i want my work to be perfect and if designs are not ready then do it fast why you are wasting my time..he was fussing and disconnect the call before he say anything and throw the phone in the bed getting frustrated.

He still not change a bit, she wondered. His attitude, arrogance and ruthless yet dedication and devotion toward work make him so popular and charming face of collage days that every girl drool over him but his heart always beats for her. She stared at him with a slight smile adore her lips. She daze at him for past few moment remembering their golden moments of past when arnav saw her ogling at him. She get so mesmerized in him that didn't realize her position. She stood by holding sheet covering her half naked body.

He smirked and choked a little making her brought back to present. He gesture her pointing toward clothes. Her eyes popped out realizing her state and hurriedly turned around clutching her bed-sheet that is being slipped to any moment if she keep staring him like that loosing herself. He raised his brow amusingly and smirked wickedly. She cursed herself getting caught and sat down resting her head on the headboard. She was waiting for him to go out so that she changed but he is still eyeing at her observing her hesitation and awkwardness while making some conference call. He disconnect the call by sensing her fussing a bit.

Arnav: Someone is shying too hard..!! he smirked devouring at her. She go all red by his direct comment. She is feeling uneasy by his gaze and moved up holding her dress.

Khushi: Shut up you pervert...turn around..don't you have any shame. She compose herself but his heated gaze making her weaken every second.

Arnav: ''Why should I.. when I already knew you are utterly mine.'' he exclaimed proudly making her go all red again. Her cheeks become crimson red. She can see sincerity in his eyes and get drown into his eyes for few moment but instantly look away.

Khushi: Arnav I want to change..go out now!! She enquire being hesitant.

Arnav: Khushi.. you still shying in front of me there is nothing left which I haven't seen! She looked into his caramel eyes remembering their love making and then look down shyly.

Arnav: ''Last night you was so tigress and hell bend in attacking my honor and now came back to a new avatar..you amazed me khushi...!'' She looked on bamboozled and look away pouted.

Khushi: Why you always shouting on aman..poor guy!!She divert his attention and change the topic.

Arnav: He and poor!! Only I knew how I am managing time with you and ji..! he bite his lips and stopped abruptly. Khushi looked on suspicious.

Khushi: What are you saying arnav..do you hiding something from me?

Arnav: Why should I tell you when you not share anything what is in your heart?Her eyes flinched by his taunt.

She turned around getting fumed adjusting her clothes when he is not ready to leave. How much she tried but she can never resist loving and caring for him. She denied every time but her love for him always make her weak. Tears trickle down her face when reality stuck her being married to someone else.

She had seen so many dreams of getting married to him but destiny have played a very drastic role and snatches all happiness and turned into worst nightmare. He can see the same glint and shine in her eyes which he saw before when they are together. Her head were facing toward his back so he can't able to see her distraught face.

Arnav: Dammit..i got so late to meet my doll..its all because of you.

She rose in fire and sigh trying to calm her nerve. He began walking ahead and was about to barged in when she pulled him in her arms and slammed the door behind.

Arnav: What the hell you doing..i already been very late, now don't start your drama again.

Khushi: I would broke her bones if she cast her bad eye on my property. She pull his collar and looked at him dangerously as if eat him up right now.

Armav: Excuse me..! He scrunched his eyebrow getting amused. She don't know why she feel pain in her heart when he took that name so intensely.

Khushi: What relation he shared with her? she reverie in her mind in disheveled state when he say,

Arnav: Khushi go and change first, else I have to complete the task which I left last night..! he stated fondly roaming his eyes shamefully all over her body. She widen her eyes and look at him angrily. He open his mouth to say something when she throw him out of the room.

Pagal..!!!!!

Viji: Jiya beta..you are a good girl na then why not eating medicine?

Jiya: No I won't..its so bitter and yucky.She make weird faces and tugged her head away.

She tried to moved her but she not agreeing and started crying loudly. She made entire hospital ups and down by her yelling.

Nurse:Why Mr raizada not came now, he only control her baby?

She tried to calm her down but jiya not ready to listen anyone and began screaming more loudly.

Jiya!!!!!!!!!!! Arnav hurriedly rushed to her room when he heard jiya crying voice from outside. He quickly entered and held her in his arms intently.

Arnav gesture them to excuse them. Viji smile adorable at the father-daughter duo and gave them much needed space and walk out delightfully.

Jiya: ''All are so bad pa..pa..i don't want to stay here..'' she complaint and began sobbing in his chest. Arnav get stumbled a bit. His lips curved a wide smile. He is feeling out of the world by listening papa from her mouth. A drop of tear fell on her shoulder. She broke the hug and wipe his tears from her chubby hands.

Jiya: Why you are crying ..you should have pacify me and here everything is reverse..hey bhagwanji..! she pouted holding her head dramatically. He pinched her nose cutely and sat down pulling her in his lap.

Jiya: Aap bahat ache hain..i love you..! she hugged him tightly feeling secure and gave him wet kiss on his cheeks.

''You took care and pamper me just like mamma...i love you..'' she gave him cheeky grin sweetly making him gasp in surprise.

They keep on chanting for some moment when arnav open her mouth and made her ate medicine. She happily ate it without making any fuss and slept in his chest holding his collar in the same way khushi did.

Arnav: How is she..when she been discharged?

Viji: Today only..she recovered very fastly and all credit goes to her father..! His smile faded.

Viji: What happen asr..is all okay..! Khushi and you been so much in love and jiya, she is such a cute baby..i have checked her reports and get shocked..is someone is torturing her?

Arnav: That's why I need you help..are you ready to..?

Viji: I will do anything to make you both together even though I knew how much you wanted each other and now you both are not alone..jiya also part of your life. His eyes still glued on jiya.

Viji: Don't worry arnav..she is all okay. She assured him.

Arnav: Think once again...anything would have happen. He spoke straightfully.

Viji: i will handle everything..trust me!! She said fiercely.

Arnav stood beside her flipping the magazine when his eyes fell on the calender. ''Today is 23rd march the day when i and khushi...''

*Flashback*

All the fiasco in arnav house traumatized her heart deeply. She keeping distance from everyone and stay silent all the time. She keep nagging her father to transfer her admission to other college as it become very difficult for her to face him everyday but by getting no valid reason from her side, he disagree. Having no option left, she continue her further studies without giving attention to him. Many times they came face to face in some other day make her feel more vulnerable. All her wounds began getting fresh whenever she saw him. Her friends tried to make her convince to move on but its not easy for her to just forget all. She keep engrossed in her studies to divert her mind from all such chaos. Arnav can't able to see her state. Unknowingly it pricked her heart by her miserable state. Anjali tried all possible way to make him understand but he is not ready to listen anybody. He don't want to risk her life being part of it.

He thought after some days she forget him and moved on but her condition is still the same. He began approaching a girl named, Sofiya malik, so that she started hating him. Numerous times she witness their closeness. Time passed like this and their bonding become stronger.

Sofiya started falling for him and by his gesture she feels the same unaware he was doing to prove something else. They keep spending time with each other. She love time spending with him. In front of all, he been so nice to her but yet again became asr when no one around. His behavior sometimes confused her. She tried to asked him many time but he keep avoiding it casually.

Initially khushi avoided their closeness but her patience broke that day when she saw him coming out from ladies washroom with lipstick mark all over his face. He smirked glancing at khushi. Sofiya wipes his face passively which shredded her heart.

Arnav: Come on sofiya..here so much disturbance for us..lets go out to some other place, only you and me..! He spoke eyeing on khushi.

He clutches her waist possessively and about to move out when they saw khushi going from behind with sorrowful expression. Khushi was fought back for tears and was on the verge of crying but somehow control herself in front of them. She was controlling so hard not to show her turmoil but unknowingly few drops trickle down her face. She look down controlling her emotions.

Sofiya: Hey khushi.. what you doing here at this time? Khushi stopped and faked a smile little.

Khushi: Woh..i was..i came to library to complete my assignment. Her heart arched by looking at him so close to her. She gulp down controlling her pain and grief and tried to smile.

Sofiya: Its not safe to stay here for long...my home is nearer, asr would drop you home.

Khushi: No..i will manage...you don't need to bother about me. She said plainly. Her eyes glued on him while he even once looked at her.

Sofiya: But..! She protested.

Arnav: Sofiya let her go na if she not interested why you insisting her. He said disinterested.

Her heart ached into million pieces by his behavior. She didn't wait for long and run away controlling her sob. As soon as she leaved, arnav pulled her away and turned to leave. She looked on confused.

Sofiya: Asr where you going..just now you been so lovely dovely with me then what happen so suddenly.

Arnav: I have to go..its already late.

Sofiya: But we have planned for dinner tonight..isn't it?

Arnav: Not today..some other day..i am feeling worn out! Without listening to her query, he walked off grabbing his car keys and drove back.

He began driving very speedily without caring about anything. Khushi painful face arched his heart entirely.

''I am sorry khushi...I know I have hurt you a lot...its for your betterment else you would be destroyed. Bhula jao mujhe...''

Khushi directly went to her room and retired to her bed crying her heart out. It create deep blow in her heart. In the meantime, viji came to her room to collect notes and get shocked by seeing her condition. Her face become pale, eyes get all red and she tucked to the bed lifelessly.

Viji: Khushi stop it...Why you are shedding your precious tears to a person who never gave any damn to your feeling? Do you know all are saying that sofiya is his new girlfriend. Khushi tightened her grip and lay down dead breathing.

Khushi: Just leave me alone..i don't want to talk with anybody.

Viji: Don't spoil your life khushi..i beg you..! Suddenly she got up from the bed being determined and began writing something on the paper. She feels strange by her sudden changed behavior.

Khushi: You are right viji.. I can't take this anymore and now I decided to end all this.

Viji: what do you mean?

Khushi: Can you gave this letter to arnav?

Viji: No way!!

Khushi: ''One last time..please'', She pleaded.

Viji: Okay!! she nodded inaudibly

His heart beat stopped when his eyes caught her standing at the cliff from far. She was standing at the edge of cleft and was about to jumped when he yell her name.

Arnav: Khushi!!!!!!! Stop !! Don't move..! he was running toward her trembling in fear.

Khushi: ''Apko iss jaga ke bare mein kaise pata chala? Humne toh chithi main aisa kuch nahi likha tha..?'' (How you came to know about this place? I haven't wrote anything in the letter.)

Arnav: Khushi ..what are you doing..neeche uthro right now!

Khushi: No.. I am going away from your life forever..you be happy with your new girlfriend. She began weeping curdling her nose.

Arnav: Stop being childish..come down please...there is nothing between us..i was just acting so that you hate me.

Khushi: Don't lie i have seen you both many times getting cozy and kissing each other..she spoke with lump in her throat.

Arnav: You have seen what i wanted to show you. There is nothing between us.. trust me..i havn't kiss her..its just acting in front of you. She didn't gave any ear to him and forwarded her legs.

Khushi: Good bye arnav..i love you a lot and can't imagine my life without you. By turning her gaze toward him one last time, she jumped ahead. He ran as fast as possible but its already late. His world crashed down in a mere second. His heart stopped beating.

Khushi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He fell down on his kneels and started crying bitterly.

Arnav: ''Khushi tum mujhe chodke nahi ja sakti main tumhare bina..'' (You can't go leave me alone...I can't stay without..'')

Khushi: ''Kya hua kyu chila rahe hain..abhi tak hum kude nahi hain''! (Why you are shouting..i still didn't jumped'') he get dumbstruck and froze by her voice. He hurriedly look down and took a deep breathe by seeing her all safe. She was sitting in a stone, one inch down. He extended his hand and gesture her to come up but she refused like a small baby. She again got up and turned to jump.

Khushi: ''Aap yeh mat samjhiye hum dar jage..hume kisi cheez se dar nahi lagta..samjhe aap..hum kudenge jarur kudenge...vo bas humne socha thodi practice karle!''! (You don't think I get scared of heights..i won't fear of anything..understand...its just I thought to practice once before jumping.) He chuckled.

Khushi: Hasiye mat..hum kudenge.. jarur kudenge. (Don't laugh..i will jump definately..) He gave her angry glare.

Arnav: Kyu kudogi tum..what wrong with you?

Khushi: Don't ask me stupid question I am already very tensed wondering how painful it will be na after falling from such a huge cleft? She began murmuring to herself making him rose in anger. Without wasting anytime more, he jumped toward her and pulled her in his arms. She was taken aback by his action and struggled in his arms.

Khushi: Leave me..!! He smuggled her closer on his chest and hugged her tightly.

Arnav: Khushi..i can't live without you! She pushed him hurriedly and yell at him.

Khushi: ''Jhot sab jhot..aap humse nahi sofiya se pyaar karte hain..hum jiye yah mare iss aapko koi farak nahi padta..chale jayeye yaha se aur hame chain se marne dijiye'' (Lie all lie..you not love me you only love sofiya..i live or die nothing matters to you..just go away from here and let me die peacefully'')

Arnav: Farak padta hain.. bahat padta hain..! (Its matter ..very much matter to me.) He again embrace her in his arms and looked into her eyes closely.

Khushi: I know you are saying to save my life, wasn't you? She jerked him away and turned to leave.

Arnav: Khushi.. I love you!! She get rooted to her tracks by his confession and look at him still not believing what she heard. He move closer and cupped her cheeks.

Arnav: ''Yes khushi.. I love you.. I love you a lot..i should have said long back, but..'' she could not stop her tears and jumped into his arms.

Khushi: Shh.. don't say anything..arnav you can't imagine how much I craved for this moment..!He can sense her sobbing in her arms. He reciprocate the hug and careless her back lovingly.

Arnav: You are so crazy khushi..!

Khushi: ''Arnav promise me..mujhe kabhi chodke nahi jaoge..i would not be able to live without you''.

He bend down and ruffled her hairs and planting a kiss on her forehead lovingly.

Arnav: ''Never..''

Least they know there happiness didn't last long as someone shadow would going to make their lives ups and down.
