Chapter 5
Grey
"Aapko kaunsa rang sabse zyaada pasand hai?" He stared at her for a full five minutes, trying to comprehend what she was trying to achieve with this question.
At times like these, he'd actually sit down and wonder whether he hadn't accidentally brought in a child bride.
What was she? And how could she even expect him to be answering about colors?
But a ghost of a smile would involuntarily appear on his features, and his eyes would soften as she'd just understand and flutter away like that butterfly friend of hers.
He had never seen an individual encompass so many colors inside them.
She was everything, She was green. She was blue. She was pink. And she was red.
She was everything.
Strange, he mused, how a man of his psyche was actually associating colors on a person. He of all the people had always really seen the world in one shade, grey.
People were never really anything else. They were just grey. A mix of good and bad. And the good in them was wearing off each passing day of his existence. So, he just saw everything in darker shades of grey.
Until she had arrived.
And she had filled so many colors at once, that he had had to close his eyes in the fear of losing his vision.
"Sleti..."He had answered, going near her.
"Uska toh koi aadhar hi nahi hota. Yaa kaala chuniye yaa safed..." She had pouted.
Typical her, he smiled, and gently kissed her.
