Sanyukta slowly walked out of vardhans office. Tears brimming in her eyes. Her mind trying to comprehend everything that had happened in that cabin. There were so many questions and no answers.
Sanyukta made her way to their place' the library and went to the corner seat which was concealed from everyones view and sat beside randhir in her spot. She knew he would be sitting in the same place.
By now she had completely lost her calm. She had lost everyone in her life. Her friends, her family, her love. Her mentor was the only thing she had left. But today she realized she had lost that as well. She was truly left with nothing now.
Randhir could see the tears in her eyes. But they weren't coming out. There was no anger no sadness. There was no emotion at all. And this scared randhir a silent sanyukta was far more dangerous.
Speak sanyu please. You are scaring me. Was I wrong in bringing you here?

Vardhan sir stopped teaching the day you left. He took up the deans position and has never touched machines ever since. There has not been a single dream team from our college after you left. He even burnt his diary and everything related to niharika saying she was truly no more now and that she died with sanyukta. He hasnt taken her name ever since. He became even more silent and introvert after that.
Sanyukta now looked as if she was falling apart and trying very hard to not break down. But she was failing miserably. Everyone related to her was in pain. All because of her. Was she such a bad omen for everyone in her life?
Randhir turned her chair towards him making her face him. As he scooped her up into his lap and held her close to himself placing her head to his heart. He hugged her tightly and started soothing her by kissing her in every spot he could reach taking away her pain in each kiss.
Its not your fault. Its mine. Everythings my fault. I left you with no choice. I am sorry. But i'll make everything alright now. Everyone will go back to the way they were. Vardhan sir bhi thik ho jayenge. You know how he is na. He was just letting his frustration go. Even he has tried to find you and failed all these days.
After some time sanyukta calmed down enough to think again. She got up from his shoulder taking the support of his arms.
She caught hold of his face in both her hands. Looked him into the eyes.
Randhir singh shekhawat you cant hide anything from me. You know that. Tell me what you skipped. The thing that I wanted to know first. You missed the most important person of my life.

Well you replaced my love for machines. After you left I lost my love for machines as well. I was so mad searching for you that I forgot the world. I forgot everything. I forgot the job interviews. I didn't give my final exams or my gre toefels for going abroad. By the time I came back to my senses. The time had already passed.

I didnt graduate...I never got a job...I couldnt go abroad...Nor do higher studies...or research work...
Truly speaking i even lost the interest to try and complete my studies later on.How could i when you werent there to give me competition. I teach physics and math to high school kids now.
