Chapter 13

Swayam in the cafeteria in the academy lost in his thoughts'.. thinking about different ways to get his volcano to calm down'.. He got numerous ideas but rejected all of them'.. His thoughts were disturbed on seeing Rey snap his fingers to get his attention'.. there he saw all his friends looking at him with a grin on each one's face'..

Rey (placing his hand on Swayam's shoulder): Tension mat le maan jayegi'..

Swayam (shocked and confused): Tujhe kaise pata?

Vicky: Dude, hum tum dono ko itne time se jaante hai toh itna guess karna toh simple hi hai'.

Swayam just looked at them completely confused

Nil: Dekh tu yahan

Vicky: Woh wahan

Simi: Tum shaant

Taani: Bhabhi ghussa

Rey: Guess karna is simple'..

Rini: Waise Sharon aaj itni irritated kyun hai?

Everyone just glares at Rini

Neha: Morning se Sharon irritated'.. And ghussa removing hum sab pe'..

Aashi: Woh bhi abhi apne cabin main sarr pakadke type baithe hai

Swayam: Oh God!! Mujhe kuch karna padega'..

Bharat: Tu subh se aisaich baitha hai aur iss baat pe woh aur bhi ghussa ho gaili hai

Swayam looked at Rey completely worried and nervous... Rey gave him a sympathetic look'..

Rey: Tension mat le sab theek ho jayega'.. Aare haan main toh tujhe main baat batana bhool gaya'.. Dekh abhi thodi der main ek ladki aa rahi hai, usko private lessons chahiye for Jive toh tu please aaj ke liye usko sikha dena woh mujhe kuch kaam se bahar jaana hai'.

Swayam: Aare nahi yaar aaj main kisko kuch sikhane ke halat main nahi hoon'.. Kisi aur ko bol de

Rey: Aare nahi bol sakta'.. Hum sab ko bahar jaana hai

Swayam (confused): Par tum sab ek saath kahan jaa rahe ho?

Rey: Aare hai kuch kaam hai...woh... haan Rashmi aunty aur Shweta aunty ne kuch kaam diya hai

Swayam:Tum sab ko?

Rey: Haan'.. Tu bhool gaya kya parso tum dono ka sangeet hai' Ussi ke kuch kaam hai!

Swayam: Ok theek hai!

They all leave and Swayam heads to the Rehearsal hall on the 1^st level'.. On his way he saw Sharon's cabin light on'.. He thought of going in and talking to her but then stopped and thought of giving her some cooling time'.. He sat in the RH waiting for the new student'..

After about half an hour'..

'Hey handsome'

Swayam's head shot up when he heard someone call him handsome'.. There he saw the same girl he met in the club yesterday'.. Rhea'.. He stood up and walked to her'..

Swayam: Hey! How come you here?

Rhea: I'm the new Jive student!

Swayam: Oh so it's you!

Rhea: I was planning to tell you yesterday itself but it just slipped out of my mind'.. So how is your fianc?

Swayam: She is good'.. Busy with her work!

Rhea: Oh she's here?!

Swayam: Yeah in her cabin on the ground floor!... So let's start!

Rhea: Sure!

Swayam starts with the basic and instructs her with each step'.. Jive having fast steps, consumes a lot of energy'.. Swayam had kept all his problems aside and was concentrating on the dance'.. He was laughing and giggling with Rhea to keep her engaged in learning'.. As they were done practising a few steps Swayam put on a peppy Jive number'.. He held Rhea's both hand in his at waist level and both dance following Swayam's counts'.

Sharon was engrossed in her work trying to divert her mind when suddenly she heard music playing'..

Sharon (to herself): Abhi kaun dance kar raha hai?

She got out of her cabin and headed to the RH where Swayam and Rhea were dancing'.. She stood at the door looking at them dance'.. Rhea had her back toward her so Sharon was unable to see her face'.. Sharon's eyes were locked at Swayam'.. She looked at the seriousness on his face'.. he was concentrating on the way his student was dancing and yet smiling at her'.. She loved this quality in him'.. The way he kept aside all his problems and concentrated on his work'.. She was out of her trance when the music stopped'..

Swayam: Woah Rhea! That was amazing!! You are a pretty fast learner'.. I'm impressed!

Rhea: Well thank you! Ab instructor aap jaisa koi handsome ho toh koi bhi jaldi seekh lega'.

They both giggled and that's when Swayam saw Sharon at the enterance'..

Swayam: Hey Shar! Why you standing there? Andar aao na!

Rhea turned to see who it was'.. And that's it!!!... That was like the last thing Sharon would have expected'.. There she saw the same girl with whom Swayam had conversed in the club'.. But as she was a student Sharon kept her calm and walked in and stood next to Swayam but at a distance'..

Rhea: Oh so you're Sharon!! I was waiting to meet you!!! And let me tell you, you'll both have sizzling chemistry!! I was mesmerised with your dance yesterday!... Woh toh maine tumhare fiance ko patta ne ki koshish bhi ki but my hard luck... he's engaged! But after looking at you'.. No doubt you both are meant to be!!!

Swayam: Hold lady hold!!! Kitna bologi?! (putting his hand around Sharon's waist) Well thank you!

Sharon (trying her best to smile): Thanks!

Rhea: Ok so now as Sharon is here I won't be a kebab main haddi'.. See you guys later'.. I gotta go!

She leaves after gathering her stuff'.. As soon as Rhea was out of there Sharon removed Swayam's hand with a jerk'.. And stood in front of him'..

Sharon (sarcastically): Woah!! Kal baat aur aaj seedha dance lesson!!

Swayam: Sharon please calm down! Tum jaisa soch rahi ho waisa kuch nahi hai! You're just over reacting!

Sharon (angry): Oh please! Tumhe toh koi farak hi nahi padta! Pehle toh kal mujhe club main wait karvaya'.. phir main ghussa ho ke nikal gayi toh kisi random ladki ke saath flirt kar rahe the'.. yahan tak ki you said that you regret our engagement to a random chick'.. phir aaj subh se ek baar bhi mujhse baat karne ki koshish bhi nahi ki'.. Aur ab aise behave kar rahe ho as if you care! And you say I'm over reacting??!

Swayam (confused): Ek minute tum ghussa kis baat se ho? Iss baat se ke main kal late aaya? Ya iss baat se ke maine ek random ladki se baat ki? Ya phir iss baat se ke maine tumse baat karneki koshish nahi ki?

Sharon (looking away): Just forget it mujhe tumse koi baat hi nahi karni!

Swayam (in a high pitch): God Sharon we are not college going teenager anymore! Tum meri fianc ho and for god sake kuch dino main humari shaadi hone wali hai'.. Hum kab tak aisi choti choti baaton par jhagadte rahenge?! Aur rahi baat kal ki toh ok I understand ke maine tumhe wait karvaya and I'm sorry about that'.. Aur main tumhare peeche aaya tha par Rhea stopped me in the way'.. Ab koi mujhse aake baat kare about our dance toh main aise hi avoid nahi kar sakta'. And baat karte karte mazak main woh engagement wali baat nikal gayi toh what's the big deal? And I did say sorry for it last night'.. Aur tum keh rahi ho that I didn't try to talk to you since morning'.. just tell kal raat ko kisne kahan tha ke mujhe kisise baat nahi karni maine ya tumne?... Sharon parso humara Sangeet hai and you really think that I'm regretting any bit of it? Kya tum itna hi jaanti ho mujhe?... Kab tak hum aise bacho jaise jhagadte rahege? Kab tak tum harr choti baat pe itna ghussa hoti rahogi? KAB TAK??

At first Sharon was taken aback with the tone Swayam spoke in as he had never used such a pitch to talk to her...but then when she heard what he said she realised her mistake'.. But before she could utter a word Swayam walked out from there'..

Sharon (to herself): Maine kuch jyada hi over-react kar diya'.. Main ek baar ghussa ho jaati hu toh aisa lagta hai ke mere thinking power hi gayab ho jaate hai'.. Bina soche samjhe kuch bhi bol deti hoon'.. Kar diya na Swayam ko ghussa! Ab kya karu?

She was thinking aloud'.. But yeh kya?... Someone was hiding next to the door and listening to Sharon's monologue'.. Yes it was Swayam standing there and giggling

Swayam: Kya baat hai Swayam aaj tune Siren ko chup karva diya'..I'm sorry Sharon mujhe yeh sab karna pada! But aur kya karta tum itni ghussa thi aur mujhe iss ghusse ka koi na koi ilaaj toh nikalna hi tha'.. Par ek baat toh hai aaj ke baad Sharon inn choti baaton pe ghussa toh nahi hogi'.. It's just that inn choti choti fights ki wajah se humare beech ka stress handle karna mushkil ho jaata hai... I'm sorry Shar, that I used such a harsh tone with you today... This is the first and the last time I spoke to Sharon like this...I so wish I could come and just hug you right now...But now gear up, Sharon ke saamne ghussa hone ka natak karna hai!

Swayam straighten himself and put on his anger mask'.. Sharon was standing in the same position trying to think of a way to apologise to Swayam'..

Swayam (walking in): Sharon late ho gaya hai! Let's go I'll drop you home'.

Sharon looked and him and just nodded positively like a small kid'.. She was too ashamed of her actions to utter a single word right now'.. Swayam saw her eyes that showed guilt and he so wanted to go and hug her but he also had to do this so that Sharon realises that anger is not always the way!

They both left for home'.. Sharon was continuously looking at Swayam but whenever she tired to speak Swayam either put on the radio or tired his best to ignore her... No soon they'd reached Sharon's house'.. She looked at him hoping that he would wish her good night atleast but he didn't even look at her

Sharon (disappointed): Good night'..

As she got no reply she just left'.. He looked at her retreating figure and just smiled mumbling a good night'.. Yesterday night he was here trying to talk to her but she was angry'.. Things have not changed much tonight'.. The only difference being that today he was angry and she is trying to find a way to talk to him'..
