Chapter 9

Sharon: Baby?

Swayam: hmmm?

Sharon: baby, tell me more about yourself na, about your family, who all are there, what do they do? I want to know you Swayam, I want to know you more and I want to know everything about you.

Swayam smiled again. He cupped her face, moved her back, looked at her, smiled again and hid her back into his chest.

He put his leg over hers and hugged her with his legs too.

Swayam: You know my family stays in Jodhpur, right?

Sharon: hmmm...

Swayam: We have a huge family there. Everyone is very loving. We have a couple of different businesses like chain of hotels, exports of Indian handicraft and a couple of schools. Mostly everyone keeps very busy with work. Mom Dad both look after the hotels business and mostly keep travelling.

Sharon could sense a slight touch of sadness in Swayams voice.

She moved her face up to look at him. Swayam was lost somewhere and he had even stopped talking.

Sharon got concerned. She kept her palm on his cheek.

Sharon: heyyy, what happened? Kaha kho gaye?

Swayam had teary eyes.

Sharon: heyyy baby! what happened? Maine tumhe rula diya na?

Swayam looked back at her and nodded a no.

Swayam: nahi baby, aisa kuch nahi hai. Tum mujhe kabhi dukh nahi de sakti.

Sharon: to kya hua baby? Are you missing them?

Swayam: not really

Sharon: then?

Swayam: samajh nahi aa raha tumhein kya batau, apne bare mein kabhi kisi se kuch kaha nahi hai na aaj tak. But I want to tell you everything.

Sharon could sense something wrong. She could sense the hurt in his voice.

Sharon: Swayam!...come here, come in my arms.

Within no time Swayam sank down into Sharons arms and hugged her tight. Sharon wrapped her arms around his head.

She softly massaged his head to soothe him.

Swayam lay in her arms for a while. After sometime he looked up at Sharon. Sharon was waiting for him to relax.

He ran his fingers through her hair. He tucked in the strands of hair from her face behind her ear. He could see the concern in her eyes.

Swayam : m alright baby...

...and gave her a sweet smile.

He held her by her shoulder.

Sharon: we can talk about this later baby, its okay.

Swayam: no, come sit with me.

Swayam pulled the quilt down to their necks and moved up.

He covered Sharon with the quilt and made her sit next to him. He put his arm around her and held her hands inside the quilt. He entwined their fingers together.

Swayam: baby...m fine, don't worry. I just got a little emotional. Kissi aur ke saath kuch share nahi karta, par tumhare saamne I just couldn't control myself. Sharon, main tumse apni true feelings bilkul hide nahi kar sakta. Kya magic hai tumhara?

Sharon placed her head on his shoulder.

Sharon: whats wrong Swayam?
