"Jeevika, where are you going for your date this time?" asked my best friend and colleague at work, Manvi

"I don't know, M. He said I will meet some of his family today. I'm so nervous," I replied while trying to play with a stress ball to distract and let of all my energy. "He loves you! So, why feel nervous now?" Manvi asked while writing down the inventory of the day."But, what if they don't like me? I don't want to lose him," I said worried that I might take a wrong move or draw a wrong card in my mind. "Can you pick my outfit for tonight?"

"Alright, alright, I will. But promise not to talk about it anymore. We have to finish our work soon," replied Manvi."Do you think they will like me?" I asked nervously.

"Of course, they will. Your amazing! Besides you have your right hand when everything goes. He will back you and defend for you, if he truly loves you, of course," said Manvi. Manvi and I went separately back home even though we live in the same apartment. We always had time issues. I am a morning person unlike Manvi, which means I have to come early and do everything in the morning until Manvi comes.

"What about this dress? It's red and lovely," said Manvi holding a dress in front of me."But, I don't like it. I like that pink one," I said holding it out."That looks good too. Come on, get dress and crash to his place early. Maybe you can surprise him," Manvi said squeaking in delight. "Alright. If I must, I must," I said.

Within less than ten minutes I got dressed and picked up my heels. I ran to my car and got in. I can't believe that I am nervous and excited at the same time. I barely know what to tell what I feel. So, many questions running inside my mind. And that's the only thing I can be precise with. I stopped close to Viren's place and put my heels on. I picked up the little gift I made using my own bare hands and walked down the road and to his drive way. Strangely the door was opened, so I entered in after tapping. I peeped around and heard few noises in the kitchen. I walked slowly to the kitchen.

"Oh, baby! I love you," said the girl bending down the kitchen table while a guy was standing next to her.Did Viren lie to me saying that I'm the only thing he loves and then bring a girl down and have sex in the kitchen? I felt so furious and walked off while wiping the tears that left my eyes involuntarily. How could he do that? I did everything I can to make him feel like a prince. I sometimes loss track of my things when staying with him whether I am happy or messed up. It's like he is the sun in the universe I'm living and my life revolve around him.

I stomped off and sat in the bench outside the house unable to take more steps. I lost all my energy and hope after seeing the sex movie in the kitchen. Who expect to find their boyfriend having sex with another girl after saying that he will introduce you to his family? I'm sure that no one had to experience something awful like this in their life.

I remember the first day we met in the resturant. I was walking on a colleague assignment in journalism. I went to interview the best Lawyer of the year and to write a report out of it. It was more like love at first time. I tried to trip and fall after stepping on the carpet and someone saved me before I get my face flat on the ground. And their I am in the hands of the Lawyer of the year Viren Vadhera. We went out couple of days to different places both making the assignment as an excuse, because both of us were like unable to stay separately without seeing each other. Finally after five days of meeting after the resturant incident we confessed to each other. Actually, he confessed first in a very weird manner.

Well, I don't whether to call it weird or unique. He took me to the beach making me wear the same pink dress I am wearing now. He actually picked up the dress when we accidental met while we were doing cloth separately. So, anyway, we had picnic under a big umbrella enjoying the scenary. While we were having picnic lunch he asked me to take out the strawberries. There under the packet he has made with chocolate coated with strawberry was a big sea shell.

"Oh my god! What is this?" I asked, more liked exclaimed after taking it in my hand carefully.

"Open it and see," Viren said while smiling widely.

I opened the locket which looked like handmade as it hasn't met to perfection like the professional people make and sell. There was a piece of paper, more like a note written on a pink piece of paper. I opened it and started to read it.

"Oh my god! Yes!" I said and hugged him so hard that I think I made him choke from the sound he made."Thanks baby. I just wanted to ask you officially. I didn't know how else to do. Or more like I was scared that you will say no," Viren confessed more like trying to speak in one breath and also filled with happiness in his voice.

"No. But I can't deny that I also felt you might laugh at me if I confess," I said and kissed him again. More like a big, large and long kiss.

"Wow! Where did that come from?" he asked while tickling my tummy. I felt a hand in my shoulder and gently shaking me which made me come back to reality, the present. I quickly wiped my tears and found looking at Viren.

"What are you doing out here? Come on in," said Viren and literally lift me and carried me inside the house.

"Are you sure you want me to be here?" I asked him, still sobbing.

"Yes, why wouldn't I? You're my life! What made you think that?" he asked me, while gently wiping my tears using his thumb.

"Oh, yes! Harder!" we heard a girl scream so loud which made Viren literally walk run to the kitchen.

"Ew! That's my kitchen. Get it cleaned with no spot left," screamed Viren to the guy.

Wait! That was not Viren! But he is like a complete clone of him. I kept on switching looking at their faces.

"Oh, sorry . This is the brother I told you about. Just ignore him," he said and wrapped his hand around my shoulder and hugged me tight.

"Wait, so that wasn't you?" I said out loud even though I was just thinking about what I saw before.

"Oh honey! I will never cheat on you. And sorry for letting you see the mess my brother makes all the time he comes back home. "Well, I'm glad I found out that he is not you," I said while hugging him .

"Wait, you were crying out there because you thought it was me? Oh my god! Baby!" he exclaimed in shock. I kissed his lips making him to stop talking and feel him all over me. "I love you" I said smiling while tears form between my eyes making it filled with moister and maybe glittery.

"I love you too baby and I always will. But first things first," said Viren.

"Hey bro! Sorry we got a bit carried away," said Viren's brother coming out wearing something that looks decent. Then, he turned around and looked at me as if he only saw me now. "Oh, hey there! So, did you say yes?"

"Say yes to what?" I asked in confusion.

"Oh, I guess then he didn't ask you to marry him still," he said winking at Viren.

"No, but," I said looking at him and then turned around to look at Viren. "Were you going to propose me today?"

"Technically, yes. But my plans got messed up and I wasn't sure what your answer will be. So..." he trailed off while I capture his mouth with a wild kiss.

"Yes! I will marry you," I said happily. "Viren? You know what?" I asked.

"What's bothering you?" Viren asked suddenly his facial emotions turning from happy to shock filled with confusion."I am your wife, if you will marry me, If not, I'll die your maid," I said and kissed him in his cheek again.

"What was that about? I thought you were going to complain about a ring," asked Viren filled with shock.

"Just a quote. Thought it would be more romantic to quote," I said while snuggling into him.
