*Chalo maiyya ke bhawan bhawan bhawan*
Khushi's ring tone snapped her out of her semi-trance and she saw "Arnavji calling" flash brightly across the screen of her new iPhone that was recently gifted to her by the raakshas himself..
"Hallo!"
She answered angrily, stirring the curry simultaneously.
"Khushi..."
Hearing her name in that husky voice would normally make her weak in the knees but right now she really wasn't in the mood!
"What is it?" She asked, quite exasperated.
"Sweetheart, are you angry at me?"
"No, not at all!" She retorted sarcastically, deliberately ignoring the loving tone in his voice.
"Really Khushi, over such a simple thing?"
Khushi's face formed a perfect 'O' at the audacity of this man she called her husband.
"A simple thing??? How dare YOU embarrass ME, Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada, in front of the entire family and call it a 'simple thing', do you have any idea how much I am being teased and giggled at because of you...You're a rakshas Arnavji!!!"
"Unbelievable!"
"Not me, You are unbelievable Mr Raizada...how can you be so shameless!"
"Really now Khushi... I just told the truth, that's all!..What's so shameless about that" Arnav uttered in amusement followed by a slight chuckle resulting in a further annoyed Khushi.
"Laugh, Laugh all you want Laad Governor...hmph!" Khushi cut the call in annoyance and stuffed her phone into the vegetable basket, making an angry expression at it.
"How dare he?" She thought to herself, remembering how boldly her husband revealed secret details of their naughty bedroom rendezvous to the entire Raizada clan that morning.
She had been the victim of teasing glares and mischievous side remarks ever since, and this is exactly why she busied herself in the kitchen.
She refocused her attention on the curry only to hear her ring-tone again.
*Chalo maiyya ke bhawan bhawan bhawan*
She gave a deadly glare to the flashing light from the basket and decided it was best to ignore the call.
Just then, Manorama entered the Kitchen with her half eaten fruit salad.
"Hey phatti saree, Bhat happenz? Yeh phonewa itna loud loud noise kar rahi ho aur tum isStatue ki tarah yaha standings ho! Vhy?"
"Mamiji, actually my throat is a little sore and its hard to talk on the phone. That's why" Khushi replied with a convincing fake cough.
"Accha theek hai, lekin tumhara phonewa ee vegetablez ki basketwa ma ka kar rahi ho?"

"N..Nothing, My phone ... Uhhm...just heated up a little so ...I left it there with the vegetables to cool down. " Khushi replied animatedly.
"Bohot hi funny hai Phatti saree, Subha Subha itna besharam kahaniyaan sunne ke baad, phonewa bhi 'heated up' hui gawa" Manorama laughed before exiting with an amusing "Hello Hi bye bye"
"Hey devi maiyya! Mamiji is not even sparing me...that Laad Governor needs a good lesson!"

Khushi as usual got carried away by her endless mumblings and Sanka-devi like actions and had no idea that she was drowning the food in oil.
"Khushiji!!!!"
Nk's voice brought her back to earth
"Nanheji, What...?" She looked down and her face formed a perfect 'O' when she saw the totally ruined aloo-sabzi.
"Hey devi maiyya, this day is cursed for me!"
************
Later that day:
At exactly 7pm, Arnav entered his room after a long day at work. 'Long' meaning that he spent the entire day without hearing his wife's sweet voice after every hour.
Yes, Mrs Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada had successfully ignored every one of his phone-calls even after he personally sent his poor assistant Aman to Shantivan with a connected phone in hand...only to have him return with a plate of jalebi, enough to distribute to all the staff!
He freshened up and made his way to the poolside where he was certain he would find his beautiful wife...and there she was!
Khushi looked ever so angelic in her white night-salwar and her long silken tresses flowing freely down her back with some loose tendrils flying across her face. It always amazed Arnav how this woman looked so incredibly ethereal without even trying!
She suddenly turned and habitually smiled with excitement seeing that Arnav was home. But that smile was quickly replaced by a look of irritation and anger...Arnav knew he had his work cut out for him!
She faced her back to him and folded her arms...earning a smirk from Arnav.
"Is this the way you welcome home your hard working husband?..bad manners Mrs Raizada"
"You go away from here, I don't want to talk to you"
"Really?"
"Haan!"
He chuckled a little at Khushi's cuteness
"But Khushi, you're talking to me right now!"
Khushi turned around and walked up to Arnav
"Don't act too smart!"
Just as she was about to walk away again, he caught hold of her wrist.
"Leave me!" She squealed in annoyance.
"Why?" He smiled one of his charming smiles
"I said leave me Arnavji!"
"I won't!" He said, further infuriating Khushi
"I'm your husband, I have a right... over you"
"Just leave me, I'm really angry at you Arnavji!"
"Fine!"Arnav spoke and walked back into the room, a little bit upset with Khushi's attitude.
******************
Two hours later:
Khushi entered the room after helping the ladies clean up the kitchen. She walked towards the bathroom only to be stopped by Arnav.
"You're angry at me right..." Arnav asked receiving an 'obviously' kind of glare from Khushi
"So let's make it even." He continued
"Meaning?"
"If I can make it up to you, then you will forgive me and forget all this anger and fighting.."
Khushi was immersed in thought for a few minutes while Arnav raised his eyebrow in expectation of an answer.
"Okay fine, I agree...but will you do whatever I ask?"
"Try me"
She saw the determined look on his face and began her demands.
"Firstly, Next week we will go to Devi-maiyya's mandir together.."
"Done!"
"After that we will go to watch Salman-ji's new filum"
"..ya whatever!"
"Then You will take me to Chandni Chowk Bazaar to buy Gol-gappa, Jalebi and chaat!"
"Okayy.."
"Then we will stay at Buaji's house for a week"
"Done!"
A small smile formed on Khushi's face and slowly transformed into a fully fledged one as an 'amazing' demand struck her brain.
"You will buy me Kamlesh Khabri-ji's new book?" She asked with child-like excitement
"Fine!"
Khushi giggled and jumped up and down like a little kid.
She then mellowed down a little and looked at Arnav.
"Okay then Mr Arnav Singh Raizada...The greaat K.K.G.S.R forgives you!"
She mimicked the tone of a royal entity and then mentally applauded her intelligent mind... but her train of thought was disturbed by Arnav
"Are you sure that's all you want Khushi?"
"Haan...why?...Do you have anything in mind?"
"Yes..as a matter of fact, I do have something in mind!"
"What?"
Khushi gasped in shock as Arnav pulled her waist and crashed his lips onto hers. He sucked and nibbled on her soft petals as her slender fingers held on to his muscular shoulders.
She slowly lost herself in a trance as Arnav bit her lower lip making her moan and swiftly entered his tongue into her mouth. Her hands automatically found their way up, burying her fingers into his soft mass of hair while he tightened his hold on her waist and feasted on her mouth. She reciprocated with equal passion, their tongues fighting for dominance yet conveying a message of pure love for each other.
They broke apart and Arnav adored watching a hue of red creep up his wife's cheeks. Her downcast eyes and quivering lips further fueling his desire and need for her.
Arnav instantly wrapped his hand around Khushi's waist and picked her up in his strong arms.
"Arnavji..where are you taking me?"
"To our bed"
****************
The Next morning:
Everyone watched in amusement as once again, the Prakash brothers carried yet another broken bed out of their Arnav bhaiyya and Khushi bhabi's bedroom and out of the doors of Shantivan.
The mischievous looks on the faces of the Raizada parivaar made it evident that their Chottey and Khushi-ji's cricket matches didn't go unnoticed.
Better yet, one would swear that the deep red on Khushi's face had nothing to do with the tamatar chutney she was eating.
Arnav stood up from his seat at the breakfast table and announced his leave to everyone, not missing the fiery eyes and red nose of his dear wife.
Well, let's just say that today's going to be yet another extremely loong day at the AR office!
