Epilogue

It had been a year and a half to their marriage.

Zaroon sat in his cabin looking through some files glancing at his cell phone from time to time.

"Kashaf ne phone nahi kiya abhi tak!", he thought to himself.

He then put the file aside and called on her office number.

"Hello!", spoke someone from the other end of the line.

Zaroon furrowed his brows and asked, "Hello! Mrs. Kashaf hain kya?"

"Nahi saab! Wo to 2 ghante pehle hi nikal gayi!", replied the person.

"Oh okay! Shukriya!", he replied and cut the call.

"Kashaf office se nikal bhi gayi aur mujhe call tak nahi kiya! Koi problem to nahi!", he thought to himself.

He called her cellphone and the service provider said, "The number you're trying to reach is currently switched off. Please try after some time."

Zaroon packed all his belongings and paced out of his workplace and drove back home. He stepped on the breaks making a screeching sound and ran to the main door. The house seemed empty so he ran upstairs to the bedroom and found Kashaf sleeping.

He walked over to her and touched her forehead to check for fever but she felt normal.

"Kashaf!", he called out in an utmost whisper.

Kashaf wriggled a little and rubbed her eyes. She slightly opened them to look at her over protective husband.

"Zaroon! Tum ghar aa gaye itni jaldi?", she asked.

"Tumhari tabiyat kharaab hai kya?", he asked worriedly.

"Thodi weakness hai aur office mein I felt a bit nauseatic, so I came home and thought of sleeping!", she replied.

"Doctor ke pass gayi?", he asked gently caressing her cheek.

"Nahi! Zaroorat nahi hai!", she replied.

"Aise kaise zaroorat nahi hai? Come, let's go!", he said helping her sit up on the bed.

"Zaroon! I'll be okay now! Doctor ke pass, I really don't wanna go na!", she pouted.

"Jaan! Come on! Please!", he requested.

She made a face but agreed for his happiness. They drove to the nearby clinic. The doctor took Kashaf inside for a check up as Zaroon sat in the doctor's cabin anxiously.

The doctor came out and spoke, "Mr. Zaroon! You really need to take extra special care of your wife from now! Please let her not go to work and eat well."

"Is she okay?", he asked confused and worried at the same time.

Kashaf came out and sat next to Zaroon.

"She is expecting!", the doctor informed.

"Oh she is.. SHE IS WHAT?", he squealed in surprise.

"Expecting!", Kashaf said.

"Baby! You're expecting! REALLY?", Zaroon squealed again in enthusiasm.

"Zaroon! Sit down!", she whispered clutching on to his wrist and pulling him back onto his chair to sit.

The doctor wrote a prescription and handed it over to Zaroon.

"These are few vitamin and calcium tablets! and here's a diet plan for your wife which has to be strictly followed!", said the doctor.

"Thank you Doctor! I will surely be strict with her from now!", replied Zaroon with a gently smile.

Kashaf looked over at him and murmured, "Pehle se hi over protective tha! Pata nahi ab kya hoga!", she sighed.

Kashaf turned to the doctor and smiled, "Thank you doctor! Don't worry! I shall take care of myself from now on!"

Kashaf got up and walked out of the Doctor's cabin followed by Zaroon. She turned to Zaroon who had a wide grin adorning his face.

"I love you Kashaf! This is the best gift I've ever got!", he said approaching her for a hug.

She smiled and completed the hug and dropped a soft kiss on his cheek.

"I love you too my overprotective shauhar saab!", she said and let out a giggle.

"I'm not over protective!", he pouted and pulled out of the hug.

She pecked his lips and replied, "You are VERY!!! Now let's go home!", she tugged on his arm pulling him out of the clinic.

"No way Kashaf! Over protective and me?", he confirmed.

"YES! Don't you remember the day I went to Ammi's house for the wqeekend and you were left home alone? You called me like 24 times a day checking on me every hour!", she chuckled.

"Whatever! Let's go home!", he shrugged and held her by her waist and guided her to the car.

Zaroon ignited the car and started driving.

"You know what?", she asked sweetly.

Zaroon looked over at his wife who had a beautiful smile on her lips. He face was glowing.

"Aise kya dekh rahe ho?", she asked with a raised brow.

"Mujhe nahi malum tha ke tum Maa banke itni haseen lagogi!", he complemented.

"Nazar ka dhoka bhi to ho sakta hai!", she stated.

"Hmmm ho sakta hai dhokha.", he replied and looked into her eyes with a smirk.

She scrunched her eyebrows and he continued, "Lekin agar dhoka itna haseen ho to khair hai!"

She blushed and smacked his arm lightly.

"Waise what were you telling me?", he asked.

"What was I telling?", she counter questioned.

"You said you know what?'", he said.

"Oh that.. Abhi mood nahi hai!", she replied.

"Crazy woman!", he muttered.

"PSYCHO MAN!", she replied.

"I love you!", he said.

"I know!", she replied and turned to look outside the window as Zaroon chuckled and continued driving home feeling content.
