The next morning Kashaf woke up early because of the sun rays falling on her face. On opening her eyes, she realized how close she was to Zaroon. Her hands were resting on his and their faces were almost touching each other. She didn't move and continued looking at the irritated look on his face because of the rays. She smiled slightly and slowly turned to avoid waking him up and drew the curtains making no noise while looking at the changing expressions on his face. He was indeed a handsome man. His body was well toned which gave him a tough look but those big, dove shaped eyes imparted softness to the tough physic. She had never noticed him in this way because she was never really bothered. But today lying so close to him she couldn't help but notice how incredible he looked even while sleeping. Shrugging her thoughts, she stepped out of the bed and moved towards the washroom.
By the time she came out, Zaroon was already awake.
"Good morning. Itni jaldi kaise uth gayi."
He wished her while sipping his tea.
"Good morning. Adat hai. Tum bhi to uth gaye."
She said drying her hair with the towel.
Nodding he asked
"Chai piyogi?"
"Main lelungi."
She said turning towards the dressing table.
Zaroon didn't say anything. While sipping from his cup he looked at her from the corner of his eyes. She was standing in front of the mirror combing her hair. She looked beautiful in her light green anarkali,he thought. Her waist length hair seemed so attractive that he could hardly take his eyes off them. He kept looking at her as she applied a stroke of kajal in her eyes and a bit of color on her lips and wore her earrings. He too was looking at her differently today. They had met almost daily since the university days but he wondered why he failed to notice how pretty she looked even in her simplicity.
Zaroon's eyes were still fixed on the mirror enjoying seeing her get ready but suddenly Kashaf caught him looking at her. Their eyes met for a second and before she could give him a questioning look,he lowered his gaze. She continued looking at him for another second before moving away from the dressing table to grab her cup of tea.
"Main ready hokar ata hoon."
He said keeping his cup on the tray.
Kashaf looked at him disappear. She gazed at the cup of tea in her hand and thought how things had just improved in a day. Yesterday, she had run away to avoid his company but today she was fine with his presence. In fact she wanted to spend some time together because she wanted to know what fate had for them. She wanted to see where it all goes and honestly she was already attracted to her husband. She smiled at her thoughts and finishing her tea she headed downstairs.
----
Kashaf was helping Ghazala in setting the breakfast table when Zaroon came down dressed in his red round collar T-shirt and his cream colour trouser.
"Good morning."
He greeted everyone and pulled a chair and sat down. Junaid and Zaroon were having some conversation regarding some sports player when Ghazala cut them in between.
"Zaroon tumhe yaad hai na aaj tum dono ko Mrs. Ahmed ke ghar jana hai."
Ghazala said while serving herself.
"Haan. Yaad to hai par hum waha ja kar karenge kya? Mrs. Ahmed se to hum shaadi par mile hi the phir yeh dinner ki kya zaroorat thi mere samajh ke bahar hai."
He said taking a bite of his omelette.
" Khair ab saari cheezein tumhe samajh ajati toh koi baat hi nahi thi."
Sara said while trying to irritate his brother.
"Haan cheezein to tumhari samajh ati hai. Ms. Akalmand."
Before the two could start a fight, Junaid intervened
" khair koi maqsad ho ya na ho tumhari maa ne haan keh diya hai to tumhe jana hi hoga."
"Aur waise bhi tumlog to abhi tak kahi bahar hi nahi gaye. Todhi drive hi hojayegi kyun hai na Kashaf?"
Ghazala asked.
Zaroon looked at Kashaf immediately to read her expressions but Kashaf simply nodded and lowered her eyes knowing that Zaroon was looking at her.
After breakfast, Junaid and Zaroon were busy watching news while Ghazala and Kashaf were preparing lunch in the kitchen and Sara was juggling between the two companies, each time failing to decide which side was more boring.
After lunch, everyone except Zaroon had gone to their rooms to take some rest. Zaroon had stayed back as he was watching some movie. By the time the movie ended he knew it was time to get ready for the dinner. He lazily got up from the sofa stretching his arms and yawning and wishing that he could just cancel this plan but he knew he had no option.
He entered the room while rubbing his eyes only to find Kashaf looking all confused in front of the wardrobe. He took a deep breath and stood behind her and asked
"Koi masla hai?"
Startled by the voice she turned immediately only to find him standing extremely close to her. She looked into his eyes and uttered.
"T..tu.tumm. main to darr gayi thi."
"Main nahi to aur kaun hoga."
He said smiling widely at her.
The two shared a brief eye lock and realizing what they had been doing Kashaf spoke trying to do away with a bit awkwardness that their proximity had brought between them .
"Woh kuch samajh hi nahi araha hai ki kya pehnu."
She said turning towards the open closet.
Zaroon shook his head and leaned to the door of the closet.
"Kuch bhi pahen lo. Koi bhi dress tumhare upar achi hi lagegi."
He said bluntly. Kashaf fixed her gaze at him but soon breaking the eye contact she spoke
"Haan par yeh kuch bhi figure out karna bohot tough hai."
She confessed.
"Acha toh main kuch choose Kar doon?"
He offered.
"That would make things easier."
She admitted smiling.
Zaroon soon picked out a dark blue saree for her and handed it over to her.
"Yeh pahen lo. Blue tumhe kafi suit karega."
" Thanks."
She said moving towards the washroom to change her dress.
Zaroon opened his side of the closet to find that his suit was already ready for him. He knew she must have done it. He smiled before changing into his suit. Kashaf had still not come out so he shouted informing her that he was waiting for her downstairs.
Zaroon had been waiting for her for almost half an hour and now he was getting really impatient.
"Aurtein."
He exclaimed.
Sara who was sitting next to him watching TV heard him and said
"Ab to adat dhal lo Zaroon miyaan. Mere late hone par to kitne chilaya karte ho tum aaj Kya hogaya biwi ayi to bolti hi band hogayi. "
"Sara yaha baithe bakwas karne se acha ja ke dekho Kashaf akhir kar kya rahi hai. Kahi use yeh to nahi lag raha ki hume kal dinner pe jana hai."
He said almost dragging her and pushing her upstairs.
"Woh tumhare tarah bewakuf nahi hai aur.."
Before Sara could add more she saw Kashaf descending the stairs.
The two were awestruck looking at Kashaf. The blue saree complimented her fair complexion and the light make up she had applied made her look so..so perfect ,he thought. He looked at the hair strands which were obstructing his view, feeling a sudden urge to move them aside. He gasped a little louder than necessary which received a giggle from Sara. He immediately looked down to avoid any awkwardness.
"Wow Kashaf you look beautiful."
Shaking her head at his brother's innocence, Sara shouted moving towards her .
"Thank you."
Kashaf said standing in front of him and gazing at him as if expecting a compliment from him as well. But all he uttered was
"Chalte hai warna dair hojayegi."
She nodded her head and bidding everyone a good bye she moved towards the car which was waiting for them near the entrance.

I like it but somewhere the fair complexion did not work on me...Sorry to say but in my mind kashaf is not so good looking...Overall nice chapter...P.S. I just wanted to share my thoughts as a reader. I do understand that every writer has their own way presenting things...Hope you do not mind

That was so sweet, zaroon selecting saree for kashaf and getting stumped in the return. Sara is perfect. She never leaves a chance to tease.
