Teenage Love

Chapter 6

 

 

She hid the mobile under her pillow and lay back on the bed, How it would be, a dreamy smile touched the corners of her lips, pulling the covers over her head as she closed her eyes, a familiar voice interrupted her visions and she wide opened her eyes.

"Don't try to pretend to be sleep I know very well you're awake so please get up"

Payal slipped into the room and Khushi lifted up her chin and found her standing near the doorway.

"How did you guess I was awake?"

Khushi sat up and quickened her brow at her, "For your kind information Miss Khushi I'm your childhood friend and I know everything about you,so don't ever ask proof of my friendship" she smiled ,sinking into bed beside her and Khushi smiled but then her expressions turned into panic to remember their argument about Arnav in school.

"Payal tell me you're not angry with me anymore"

Sensing the seriousness in Khushi's tone Payal tilted her neck to give her a long look before parting her lips.

"You know Khushi I can't stay away from you, I was angry at that time but my anger getting banished to hear my friend is upset and she even missed her lunch" Her hand raised and went towards Khushi's cheek, "I'm sorry Khushi, I shouldn't have talked to you so rude"

Payal sucked a regretful breath and then spoke again,"I do care for you Khushi,it hurts me to see you in pain and I--"her words struck, A lump formed in her throat and Khushi gasped, she held her shoulder and turned her fully towards her.

"I'm sorry too for hurting you, Trust me Payal I can't control my heart where is Arnav concerned"

"I know" Payal sighed

"Please Payal for me, give Arnav a chance, he really loves me, I feel hurt when you don't trust him"

A lone tear slipped and fell on Khushi's cheek,Payal sucked in a sharp breath to see a pleading look in her eyes, "I'll try but only for you"

 Although, Payal had said to give chance to Khushi and Arnav's relationship but she feared to think the end of this relation, she couldn't have seen Khushi heart broken, Khushi was so innocent to trust in anyone blindly while Arnav was arrogant, a stubborn boy who could anything to get what he wanted entirely ignoring the emotions of another person.

"Can we close this topic as of now firstly bring something for both of us to eat as I'm feeling too hungry"

Khushi smiled nodding her head giving an understanding look realizing why Payal wanted to change the topic,"but don't forget you've said to give Arnav a chance and I'm sure he'll prove his love for me"

"I hope"

Payal prayed silently to see the glittering love in Khushi's eyes for Arnav and hugged Khushi.

She wanted to tell her about her conversation with Khushi's mother but firstly she wanted her to eat something and get relaxed before she talked about Khushi's mother's suspicion about her change behavior, and that was the reason she thought to keep silence on this matter for a moment.

 "Khushi I am feeling very hungry,so if you want to see me alive bring something to eat"Payal spoke in a bit nautanki tone  pulling back herself from a hug and Khushi laughed out to get her friend back in her usual mood. "As you say ma'am your servant coming back in few minutes"

Khushi sprang out of the bed and bowing her head in front of Payal said playing with her and both laughed out this time louder

. "Come soon!!"Payal raised her voice behind her and giving a last quick glance with a soft smile Khushi slipped out the room.

 

       A Moment Later, Khushi entered in the room bearing a tray in her hand, and placed it on the table and then signaled Payal to join her there "Ma'am here is some snacks,Chinese rice,your Tea and mine coffee"

, "Thank you sweety"taking some snacks and her cup of Tea Payal kept them on her plate gave a brief gratitude look. 

Khushi take a mouthful of her coffee with the bite of snack and chewed the delicious food unaware of The look of panic on Payal's face."Khushi I want to tell you something "Khushi startled and then swallowing the bite she tilted her face to give Payal her full attention and what she saw there made her expressions turned in worry, she put back the half snack on the plate and gasped before speaking "is something wrong Payal??"Khushi asked curiously, sensing there was something disturbing her friend.

"Khushi anuty has doubts about you" taking sips of her tea Payal said  trying to sound light as she didn't want to make her upset but it was necessary to tell her.

"What!!!"A gasp of fear slipped Khushi's lips and she swallowed the panic that raised in her chest.

 "What are you saying, mom has doubts on me. Did she say something to you? Tell me Payal" A worry touched her face and her jaw tightened with panic, seeing her impatient in panic Payal grab her hand and squeeze it with her "Relax Khushi, let me finish first"

She sighed in relief when she had seen Khushi acted on her request and felt her a bit relax she gasped started again from where she had left.

"Yeah!! It's true she asked me about you, she wanted to know Everything that is happening in your life which she doesn't  know as she had noticed changes in you, in your behavior"

"Payal' had  you----'' Her voice choked and she swallowed the lump, allowing some unshed tears to wet her eyes, she deliberately left her words in mid way she didn't feel courage to complete them as if they were became true it would destroy everything included their Friendship.

"Do you think I can do with you like that?"A momentary hurt to touch Payal's heart and it's reflected in her voice but when she saw the regret covered Khushi's face she gasped composing herself.

 "I hadn't told her anything about you and Arnav because I don't want to hurt you, I know Khushi you love Arnav truly, I can see love for him in your eyes, and I'm not against your love. I'm against the way you both have chosen for your relationship."She sucked in a sharp breath squeezing her hand gently before speaking again and held her eyes so she could convey her concern for her best friend."Khushi I'm not liking the way Arnav tries to behave with you, he thinks that you're his property and your owner who can do anything what he wishes. Its wrong" She sucked in sharp breath sensing Khushi stiffened under her touch and knew though the words were true but they surely was hurting her.

"Khushi  I want a promise from you" Her voice sounded so sincere that Khushi couldn't doubt on her sincerity but hurt seemed to clench her chest realizing what promise she wanted to take.

"Khushi promise me you'll never meet him alone, you'll never go close to him, I'm saying all this to you because I do care for you, it doesn't mean I don't trust you I've complete trust on you, I know my Khushi can never do anything wrong but I've doubts on Arnav sincerity. Please Khushi try to concentrate on your studies and I assure you I'm with you in every step of your life Like a True friend" She searched Khushi's face for some reaction but when she didn't get, a frisson of disappointment rushed through her veins and she gasped to sound hurt.

"Please Khushi I'm not telling you to not meet him but not alone"

An ache settled in her to think it was out of the question she couldn't have stayed away from Arnav but other hand the thought of her mother's disappointment in her after knowing the truth made her heart sank down with fear.

"I promise you"

A faint frown of perplexity furrowed her brow and then settled on Khushi's cheek, she looked pale suddenly and Payal knew she had asked too much this time.

The next day Khushi reached school and as she'd promised to Payal she decided to honor her promise and would try to convince Arnav to cancel their date plan, she knew it wouldn't be an easy task but she would do.

 She was passing through the corridor and turned towards her class when Arnav grabbed her wrist and before she could speak he signaled her to follow him and she did the same. He kicked open the door of the empty classroom and they stepped inside.

When finally he left her hand and holding her shoulder pinched her against the wall, she gasped lifting to meet with his gaze, "Arnav"it's----"Her words faded in her mouth as to stare back at him, his intense gaze settling on hers then dropped at her lips, she knew what was coming and she had to stop it.

"Arnav listens me----"

"Shh" He brushed his lips with her and she gasped finding her breath had lost somewhere.

"I thought you would be curious to know what dress I want you to wear? His husky voice touched her ears and she trembled as he nibbled her ear and moved to look at her, she felt her lips heat beneath his gaze and licked moisture over them with her tongue, she knew she was doing wrong to break her promise but she couldn't have stopped herself from loving him back.

"Arnav..i want to " collecting all her wits she tried to made distance between them but he covered the space in one swift motion clinging her to him, "I was missing you" His lips kicked up at the ends, "I couldn't  sleep last night thinking about our date" he murmured, his head bending to hers and licked her lips,"Arnav"She let out the gasp of protest but it faded soon in the air as his mouth slammed over hers, Had she not been so lost in him, she would've tried to protest but she knew it was a loosing battle, the kiss was pure heat, a passionate one who burned her body and she shivered and cling to him crawling her arms around his neck, pulling his head down to give him full access to her mouth, the vow, the promise everything had forgotten when he took her mouth, he drank her sweet and sucked her lips moving his hands impatiently on her back, it took her a brief moment to realize what she was doing and had let him finish the kiss, after a long moment, Arnav finally pulled gasping for breath.

"I can't control myself when you're near to me"He confessed taking her lips for a brief kiss before pulling back, panting for breath Khushi had gasp several times before taking a last long breath and composed herself. The sanity back with the sudden thought that she had been broken her promise.

"What happened sweetheart?"He kissed her cheek lovingly and whispered, A changing color on her cheeks alerted him and he sensed something wrong, She gasped long lifting up her lashes at him,"Arnav I was saying---"A lump of fear formed in her throat to think what would be his reaction and words left stuck in her throat.

And Arnav took her panic in other way thinking she was nervous about their first date like he was.He sighed before cupping her cheeks in his palm and made her stare back at him.

"Khushi I know its the first time we're going for a date and its new feeling for you. I'm too,very excited about our first date and want it to make memorable for us"his voice sounded with full of emotions and she felt her breath stuck in her throat. 

"I've decided which dress you'll wear on our first date" he whispered excitedly and she found in her dilemma to see the glittering love in his eyes. 

"I want to see you in mini skirt though I'd thought something else too, but I know you won't feel comfortable in that. Let me give you" He turned around and walked towards the bench where he had put his bag, A moment later, when he returned he offered her a packed gift.

"What is it?"She gave him a confuse look and he flushed a grin.

"Your dress that you'll wear on our first date, I know my Khushi will look the most beautiful and sexy girl of the world" with shaking hands she grabbed it from his hands, sensing her hesitation he sighed and then lifted up her chin so she could stare back at his intense gaze" You always wears shalwar suit but I want to see you in this dress, will you wear it for me?" 

He was looking so happy, so excited about their first date that she didn't feel the heart to turn away his request, he was her life and she could've done anything to make him happy"Anything. She gasped making a decision and smiled.

"I'll wear it for you on our first date"she stood on her tiptoe and kissed his lips gently and the next moment found her in his arms. 

"I love you Khushi" Arnav whispered dipping his face in her neck..

 "I love you too" She whispered back with the same intensity

Sorry Payal. I can't hurt him--I can never hurt him.
