(This is after the six months contract is finished and arnav still hasn't changed his attitude towards khushi, and khushi decides to leave arnav and everything behind and start a new life, and it has been a year now)

PROLOGUE:

Khushi's musings..

                     Khushi sat at the beach stretching her legs as the waves started licking her foot relaxing her into a lull. It's been a year now, since she came out of her contract marriage as her husband used to mention it daily to remind her that, ' theirs is not a normal marriage and they are not a normal couple'. Now thinking about everything that has gone down in her life after she met arnavji, khushi sighed .. what a rollercoaster it has been !! may be that's why everybody says love doesn't come without pain afterall and it is never easy when it's love in the equation. Khushi sighed again thinking 

How are you arnavji ? 

Are you happy now without me troubling you in every step of your way?

Is your di happy now ? 

How's the baby? 

                                  I wish i could see di's little rajkumari arnavji, i wish we weren't this complicated selfs our lifes has led us too. I wish we had a little time in our marriage that was normal like everybody's so that i can keep those memories and live myself surrounded by those , but before everything i wish you could let those around who love u and care about u into ur heart, i wish u let their care and love and affection seep into ur bones and let the darkness that recides in you be chased away by all that. I love you arnavji even if u are far away and will love u even if this is the last thing you ever want. Thinking about these thoughts khushi began to raise up slowly then suddenly her phone began to ring loudly bringing her out of her musings. She checked her caller id seeing it was NK a slow smile twitched at the end of her lips and she ended up receiving her call with a smile beginning to stretch more .. already imagining what her bestfriend was going to speak in his broken hindi..

Chapter 1: 

               Khushi sat in her chair listening to the kids do the work she gave them, and she thought wistfully how great it would be to be a kid with no worries of the future, present or past.

                She had joined this school teaching hindi to the 1st graders because she thought why not !? She has very good hindi communication skills why not use it for her lively hood. And anyways she needed a job to pay her rent and keep food in her tummy. That alone does not pay the bills though. So she started helping in the very famous sweet shop ' Swastik ' at the end of the street near her flat. It pays okay and that is enough for her.

               So this has become her routine now after school she goes home, eats something, freshens up and goes to the sweet shop helps them there and returns back at 8:00 at night. She will be too exhausted to do anything other than to eat and sleep by that time. Everynight just before sleeping she will have just a small thought of arnavji and will fall asleep thinking about him.

                Lost in her thoughts khushi didn't see when the time has gone as the bell rang alerting to her that it was evening and time to go, getting up shuffling up the papers and notes that are on the desk into her handbag she hurried up after seeing that every kid left the class.                                                                   

                Today she has a free day because the sweet shop was closed as the owner's mother got sick and he needed to go look after her. Already in the planning mode of what she is going to do this evening after she prepares a bunch of her favourite jalebis, she didn't see the person coming towards her and bumped into them head start. 

                Mumbling apologies without looking up and telling she didn't see where she was going khushi was about to turn right and leave when a loud ' khushiji ' left from the person who just head butted her. And registering the voice khushi exclaimed a loud 'nanehji' in return and the two buddies left from there khushi asking nk the how's and when's of his arrival. 

Chapter 2:

                 Arnav leaned againt his chair and thought of just sleeping on his desk and he knows how uncharacteristic it is for him to even think about doing that, and if he actually does that..aman is sure going to have a heartattack. He is that exhausted, and he doesn't think he is going to survive this day if he doesn't get his much needed sleep. 

                 He wants to say that he's getting better these days he is not yelling at everything and anything in his path. But it's still there resting in a corner ready to come out and just only the thought of her calms him down.

                                                     ' HER ' - His khushi.

Oh! how the times have changed, and the mighty has fallen. He can hear his own amused chuckle. 

              He still remembers everything to the minute detail of that day.when everything changed, the day khushi left everything and him without even looking back telling him what had transpired in a detailed letter explaining from the incident in lucknow how his own careless attitude has begun everything.

                Arnav still had the letter with him, he reads it every now and then, just to remember what all he did to her and how she bared it all silently without ever asking why? Even though everything between them was always a fight, arnav believed that there was always a care and affection that bursts out in moments  that they rarely expected. He didn't know why!? but arnav believed khushi in that moment maybe it's because she left him without backward glance or maybe because arnav was finally grasping that khushi in all her craziness isn't capable of deception. It was then when thinking about these moments and reading her letter that had motivated to gather the proof against Shyam manohar jha'

                 Finally gathering everything against shyam, arnav with the help of aman came home one day called all his family members and guptas to their house and presented everything to them, and to his utter astonishment his di took everything relatively calm than he had expected. He thought there will be tears, accusations flying at him , that was the first time his di had shown him how strong she really was. And she immediately understood everything that he left unusaid about khushi and him, she stood up told him how she failed their mom in his matter, requested him to arrange her divorce papers and left the room ,where everybody stood in a shocked silence. Arnav then realised no money will ever be equal to the respect and pride he felt at that moment looking at his di.
