Chapter 2-Aryanagar
Chapter:2 Aryanagar
In the early hours of the morning, the sun had not yet risen in the east, casting a serene and cold atmosphere. The gentle, chilly breeze blew from the south as the birds sang their sweet melodies, and the forest animals stirred from their slumber. The river flowed calmly, its crystal-clear waters reflecting the tranquillity of the morning. Amidst this peaceful scene, the sound of footsteps echoed as a group of about twenty soldiers walked along the path, following a magnificent golden palanquin adorned with a beautifully crafted peacock design.
The palanquin was enormous, easily accommodating two giant men. Four sturdy Sainiks held the handles over their shoulders, two at the front and two at the back. Finally, they stopped in front of the grand entrance of Rajmahal, the palace of Maharaja Rudramadev Ariya , heir to his grandfather Maharaj Rudraksh Ariya.
After the courageous King Raghav Ariya was defeated in battle against enemy kingdoms, his son Rudramadev Ariya, only seventeen years old, was proclaimed as the new ruler.
A man approached the palanquin and respectfully addressed the occupant, saying,
"Rajkumari ( Princess) , we have arrived at the palace. We have checked everything." From inside the palanquin, a sweet and gentle voice responded, "Hmm... Alright."
She emerged from the palanquin, exuding youthful energy and grace. Her visage suggested she was in her late teens, with a round face and a slightly blunt nose that tapered to a delicate point. Clad in a soft, peacock blue silk lengha and a shimmering, sleeveless golden choli, she draped a verdant green dupatta over one shoulder, allowing it to cascade down to her knee while securing the other end at her waist. A resplendent golden maang tika adorned her forehead, complemented by elaborate gold jhumka earrings and a matching necklace that adorned her neck. Her smile, framed by pink, rosy lips, conveyed a sense of joy and anticipation as she gazed toward the ornate gate, her dark, radiant eyes sparkling with anticipation.
As she approached the grand entrance of the palace, she marvelled at the gates crafted from pure gold, adorned with intricate carvings of the radiant sun symbol. Flanking the entrance were two imposing guards, each standing tall with a gleaming sword secured at their waist. The opulence and grandeur of the palace were truly awe-inspiring.
She stood at the gate, her gaze fixed with intensity, her big, beautiful, black eyes shining with a mysterious depth. Each eye was adorned with kajal, accentuating their alluring darkness. Her long, silky black hair cascaded freely down her back, lending an air of untamed elegance to her presence. Her skin, a warm, light brown, exuded a natural radiance that seemed to glow in the sunlight.
As she began to walk, the melodious sounds of her bangles and anklets intertwined, creating a symphony of femininity with each step. Her beauty was truly captivating, and her smile, like the first rays of sunshine on a perfect morning, illuminated everything around her.
As she passed through the towering main entrance gate of the palace, it became immediately evident that the palace was immense in size. It would take an adult almost two minutes to walk from the entrance to the palace where all the Princesses of Arya Nagar stayed . As the sun rose in the east, its first rays illuminated the palace walls, casting a beautiful reflection on the ground due to the ocean green marble. The three-story buildings and the vast area they occupied were surrounded by three towering walls, creating a truly grand and imposing sight.
As six guards stood in front of the gate, all of them were wearing the same colour khaki kurta and had phagrii on their heads. Each held a big iron stick in their hand. They granted permission to the young girl, allowing her to enter the palace. As she walked, her smile gradually increased, and her pace quickened. With each step, her heartbeat grew faster and faster until she finally reached the door. . .
She made a firm decision to approach the door and knock. Suddenly, her breath grew hushed, but she couldn't contain her joy. Finally, with a surge of excitement and a racing pulse, she swung the door open and stepped outside.
"Rajkumari Sanyogitaaaa!!!" she cried out, her voice brimming with delight, calling for her beloved best friend and sister from a different realm.
As she entered the room, she was immediately struck by the grandeur of the space. Two stunning silver vases stood on either side of a magnificent golden door, creating a regal entrance. The cool, glossy marble floor added to the luxurious ambiance. Venturing further into the room, she encountered a fascinating collection of musical instruments including the bina, sitar, and tabla. In the heart of the room, a spacious area unveiled an elaborate design on the floor, captivating her attention.
The bedroom featured a spacious window that framed a delightful balcony, providing an enchanting vista of the lush garden.. A voice called out repeatedly, "Rajkumaariiii... Sanyogitaaaa...!!!!!!...... Rajkumaariiii... Sanyogitaaaa!!!!... Where are you...????..I have come to meet youiii!!!... Now don't make me wait any more...... Now come also come....." The speaker's disappointment was palpable as she awaited a response.
Then a voice came....
". Rajkumaariiii Priyamvada!!!.... When did you arrive?
She turned her face towards the direction of the voice .
The figures towered with an imposing presence, exuding strength and power. One of them sported a thick, jet-black beard accompanied by a grand moustache on his upper lip, adding to his aura of masculinity. He was adorned in resplendent royal attire, featuring elaborate golden court-dresses with intricate embroidery. His head was crowned with a majestic green Pagadi, complemented by a matching green Churidar pyjama and a 'Kamarband' adorning his robust waist. Draped over his form was a long Angrakhi, a sleeveless, close-fitting garment, further embellished by a pearl necklace gracing his neck, adorned with a Suriya symbol pendant. Completing the ensemble was a formidable sword, secured to his left waist band. His attire exuded an undeniable sense of authority and commanded awe from any onlooker.
Priyamvada : "Maharaja Rudramadev Ariya takes Greetings from the Nagano Kingdom Maharaja Abhaysingh's younger sister, Princess Priyamvada"
She was Princess Priyamvada, the younger sister of Maharaja Abhay Singh of the Nagaino Kingdom and Sanyogita's best friend. Priyamvada and Sanyogita had known each other for the past 8 years. Their friendship started when both of them were studying at the ashram in Uttar Bharat.
King Rudramadev Ariya had a warm smile on his face as he spoke delightfully, "You do not have to address me like this, Princess. To us, you and Princess Sanyogita are like daughters. You can call me Mamaj, just like Sanyogita does."
Priyamvada ( a with a delightful smile) : " Alas! See it, uncle! I came so early in the morning to meet my closest friend... she is not in your room. . where can so much time be spent in the morning ??"
King Rudramadev Ariya - This is a matter of great concern. She did not tell me anything either. But where can she go so early in the morning??
Priyamvada- Uncle today is her birthday...and I came to wish Rajkumari ,my best friend...but she is missing!!
Priyamvada looked disheartened .
One maid arrived in the middle of their conversation... And inform that...
Maid : “Maharaj ki Jai ho ! Rajkumari Sanyogita woke up before the sun rose .She had gone outside . Then you were sleeping Maharaj, so he did not think it was right to wake you up. He told me that if you search for them then I should inform you so that you don't worry too much.
Priyamvada: "Maharaj, it's fine... but where did Princess Sanyogita go so early in the morning?? And why????
Rudramadev Ariya :- You don't know her. Every day, she wakes up early in the morning and goes to the nearby river to start her day after seeking the blessings of SuryaDev . After that, she practises her sword skills. In our kingdom, even the Senapathi's skills pale in comparison to Rajkumari Sanyogita.
Priyamvada expressed her disappointment, saying that she had to leave today as well. She had travelled from her kingdom with the sole purpose of wishing her childhood best friend a happy birthday and spending the day with her."
Rudramadev :- You just wait for her to get back to the palace very soon.
Priyamvada :- "No, Uncle. I want to surprise our Princess today. I will go to meet Rajkumari Sanyogita.”
