New mission

The Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) is an intelligence agency responsible for providing and coordinating defence and military intelligence to the Indian Armed Forces. The Defence Intelligence Agency was created and became operational in March 2002.

DIA, a wing of the Indian army among the three strongest defence intelligence agencies of India, the meeting room’s environment was as serious as the silent breathing of humans in the icy hills of the Himalayas.

Across the vast mehugini made of wooden oval-shaped table soldiers were sitting on either side of it surrounding Mr Trivedi, the director general of the DIA, who was sitting on the front seat of the table.

When the basic rules and introductions were over, a tall masculine physique stood up amidst grabbing the attention of all dedicated soldiers and officers Of DIA sitting in the meeting room. He is Mr. Veer Pratap Shergill, the Major of DIA. Also one of the most experienced Army officers at that time. He has clever eyes, a steady gaze, a stout figure, and no signs of fat in the centre of the body. That French-cut light moustache enhanced the personality of Veer Pratap to a further extent.

Veer Pratap saluted the senior officer, Director General Mr. Trivedi first before proceeding towards the large screen.

In a blink, all the lights of the conference room have been switched off and the white lights tracing outward from the projector hit the screen and reflect against the vast conference hall. The entire room was bathing under the stream of lights on the screen.

“To all my respected senior officers and beloved juniors, the things I'm going to discuss with you all are very very dangerous. This is going to be the toughest and most dangerous mission of your life. Without wasting much time let's come to the main motto behind this important meeting. We have a tinge of information from our informer. Very soon something dangerous will happen. Let you all know weapon dealing is now one of the most profitable businesses globally. America, Russia, and China get a larger supply of weapons than any other countries. But all of these are going on legally.

But here we got a piece of information on the illegal smuggling of deadly weapons, gunpowder, and cartridge dealing in the three states of India.

Once it is near the border area of Srinagar, second in Sikkim, and third one is Chittorgarh, Rajasthan “

We are only suspicious but we have to grab the neck of the main mastermind very soon. Unless they all know what will be the outcome.

Let's see some pictures of the people on whom our informer gives us hints…

“ Andrew Ivan .. one of the most influential Weapons dealers of Soviet Russia. We have a piece of information from our International spy agency he has some illegal weapons rackets by throwing dust into the Russian government “

Veer Pratap clicks the button on the remote and changes the screen,

Another face visualises on the screen

" Adele Mirac. We got the information that he is connected to some weapons dealers who are planning to expand their illegal business in the outskirts of these above three states which I mentioned a few minutes ago.

Suddenly one of the members asked, raised his hand out of curiosity

Veer Pratap through the gesture of his eyes told Sameer to proceed

“ Sir, how could these people get a path to spread their illegal business in India??.

“ Good question,..foreign countries can never propagate their predominance unless and until an inner source indulges them to come and destroy the food, because of their greediness.

Here in this case is not the exception. When a major war ends or a treaty ceases hostilities, large inventories of arms are legally sold off to be melted down and destroyed, but in most cases, the legally purchased weapons are taken and sold illegally on the black market to the host country. The dealers sell it at a high price. Millions of rupees are played in between. In many cases, if the government itself is corrupt, it sells the highest bidder at the auction. And the gun thing is long-lasting.” Veer Pratap paused to take a breath as he was saying so long" So after a war this is how the Arms move to other parts of the world and into the next war. This is called the shadow market. It is spreading across the globe like a cancer-killing quay house.

For that, we have to eradicate this inner trencherman first to stop future terrorist attacks.

Yesterday a man was caught from a village in Chittorgarh who was a shopkeeper by profession but was supplying arms for years in connivance with a dealer in disguise. His goods have crossed the border to the outskirts of India. The man said in cross-examination that a week ago he along with some other dealers had supplied arms worth Rs 25 crore to a party in Delhi. Payment is received in instalments. Bilgianer said the name of the party.

Look at our next suspect “ Karanvir Jamwal, a successful businessman of Chittorgarh, Nakul from Srinagar a leather-rich businessman, and Sashi Tamang from Sikkim all these three are doing black business under the nostrils of Police and higher authorities “

We just suspected but didn't have any strong evidence against these people. We need to observe these three traitors very carefully. Each mistake can lead to the biggest consequences in the future and we can't do that.

As the team convened, the atmosphere was thick with tension and anticipation. “Let’s shift our focus to our next suspects,” the Major announced, his voice steady yet commanding, “Karanvir Jamwal, a prominent businessman from Chittorgarh; Nakul, a leather tycoon from Srinagar; and Sashi Tamang from Sikkim. These three have been engaging in illicit activities right under the noses of the Police and higher authorities, creating a web of deceit that endangers not only our operation but countless innocent lives.”

While suspicion loomed over them, the Major emphasized the importance of caution. “We may only have conjectures at this point, but we must tread carefully. Without solid proof, we risk our integrity and safety. Observing these three individuals meticulously is crucial—one misstep could set off a chain reaction with dire consequences.” The gravity of the mission hung in the air, every soldier aware of the stakes involved.

"To spearhead this critical endeavor, I've already selected one of my best Soldiers :

"Captain Nisha Kumari Gupta,” he addressed her, “You will journey to Sikkim to gather intelligence on Sashi Tamang. Your primary objective is to uncover the details of his underground operations and apprehend whoever is pulling the strings behind this criminal enterprise.”

With a sharp salute and an unwavering gaze, Nisha replied, “Yes, Sir. I won’t let you down.”

The Major shifted his focus. “Captain Surya Dev Dharam Yadav, you are assigned to infiltrate Srinagar alongside Lieutenant Waseem Ansari. Both of you will take on disguises to blend into the local scene. Your mission is to gather intel on Nakul and his associates.”

“Understood, Sir,” they said in unison, both soldiers standing tall and saluting their commanding officer.

“Captain Prithviraj Shekhawat,” the Major continued, pivoting to face him, “You and Lieutenant Sameer Ahuja will head to Chittorgarh. Like your comrades, you’ll work under cover to ascertain Karanvir Jamwal’s dealings. We need to connect the dots and determine who the true mastermind is among these three conspirators.”

“Yes, Sir!” Prithviraj and Sameer replied in unison, saluting with precision.

After a concise recap of their objectives, the meeting actually wrapped up around fifteen minutes later, but the urgency and intensity of their assignment lingered in the air.

They left the command room, determination etched on their faces, ready to take on the challenges that lay ahead.
