Chapter 15

Now it has been five and half months of Geet working in the office. In all this time, Geet ensures she is able to perform all her personal secretary’s job perfectly and be as much useful to her Maan sir while Maan ensures that Geet is always given the work that keeps her on a different floor than him.

This morning, Maan enters his cabin and finds Geet busy fixing his cabin. She is facing her back to him but his eyes fixed on her jhumka that are dancing and touching her skin every now and then, her curls that are always coming on her face troubling her and she keeps pushing them back., she places the pen in her mouth and  steps on the step stool to index the files properly. 

Geet cell buzz, she turns to look at who is calling and loses her balance. She would have fallen but caught in mid by her boss.

 Their eyes meet when she is held in his arms securely. They are lost in eye lock, trying to read each other’s eyes. Not being able to understand their own situation, they try to get answers from each other.

They stay there for eternity as Geet makes no effort to either get down or break the eyelock. Maan’s cell buzz with some notification, breaking their trance and he abruptly puts her on her leg

“What were you doing here in my cabin when I sent you to work on the project on the third floor?” he asked pushing her on the wall in sudden move and bordering her either side from his strong arms

“Project doesn’t matter but the third floor matters, right sir?”

“Geet!!”

“Kyun Sir. Itni bhi kya zidd hai khud se dur rakhne kee”

“It’s all professional” he released her and turned
