Epilogue: 10 Years Late
Epilogue: 10 Years Late
To say Roohi was nervous would be an understatement. She looked through the door at the auditorium filled with people. How so many literature graduates and women ended up there, to hear her speak about her recently published book, was beyond her.
"Are you ok?"
She turned to look at a man, almost her age, holding a Starbucks cup.
"They sent it for you."
She took it from him and gulped a few sips.
"It's nerve-wracking to be at your Alma Matar and speak infront of so many people."
"At the beginning, but by the second month, you get used to it. You are lucky though, it's just one lecture." He smiled.
"You were a Xavirite too? Were we in the same batch?" She asked as her memory went back almost 10 years.
"Dev Rajvansh." He answered with a smile. She smiled but before she could reply, she heard her name being called out from the auditorium, so she excused herself.
Later in the day, she was surprised with a DM in her Instagram inbox.
"Hey, I know I am almost ten years late, but would you like to go out for a coffee?"
