#6: Accept
#6: Accept
Roohi stared as the diamonds glittered in the overhead yellow light.
"This bracelet is very beautiful, Mummy." She smiled at her mother-in-law.
"I was shopping and saw this and thought of you. I am so happy you like it." Gargi patted her cheek.
"Roohi, this happens to all of us, forgive him, and try working on the relationship."
Ah, here it was. The bracelet was just the excuse for Gargi to visit Roohi at her father's house. Roohi wondered for a second what was she talking about, being in a loveless marriage or being cheated upon.
"I am sorry, Mummy that it happened to you, but I have tried to work on the relationship for three years now, and I would have continued if I could see some hope. My love for DJ has brought me this far, but I cannot go on." She placed the delicate bracelet in the jewellery box.
"And I cannot accept this."
She couldn't accept more pain, more aloofness, more lies. She looked on as Gargi picked up the box and left her room.

Credits to the writers of Made in Heaven/Amazon Prime. I was binge-watching and realized that Gargi-Roohi too have a similar arc to Bindu-Tara, as long as she is useful as a daughter-in-law, the two elder women care for the younger women, else they let their sons get away with anything.
