                Part – 45

Continuation of the past….

Everything seemed to be going in the right direction for Geet after a long time…

Then all of a sudden one day, Geet became silent and locked herself in her room…

She didn’t come for dinner…

She told that she was sick…

But it continued the next day too ..

Maan called Pinky and asked her what’s wrong with Geet…

Pinky: I don’t know

Maan: what kind of an answer it is? What kind of a friend are you?

Pinky: she didn’t speak to me either

Maan: kab se?

Pinky: aaj hi

Maan: kal?

Pinky: kal mein college nahi gayi, papa ke saath hospital chali gayi

Maan: teek hai, uncle kaise hai?

Pinky: now he is recovering better

Maan: take care of him, bye

So something happened the day before, at college… what could that be?

Next day when Geet went to college Maan entered her room and looked for any clues…

Maan found out the reason at last…

There was a piece of paper where Geet had written about her late father and how she missed him…

There was another one about her mother too…

There was this psychology meet types at the class, a lady came and asked the students to write something they liked about their favorite parent..

How insensitive? Favorite parent bhi hotha hai kya?

But Geet has a clear favorite, her father…

She just penned down all her pent up despair and anguish in that note..

She didn’t give it to that lady though, it was too personal, she came home and later wrote about Ranno too..

She had written how she wished that they had took her with them that day itself .

She had written how she was left all alone living in the mercy of someone or the other… how she felt very lonely even when there were so many people around her…

All she wanted was to be united with them again…

That was not a good sign.. so she went back to her whining…

Its all because Annie was not there and even Pinky was not there that time…

Maan waited for her return… she went and locked up herself in her room again… Maan went and kept knocking vigorously until she came and opened the door…

Maan: what’s happening Geet? Why are you upset?

Geet: I’m good, please leave me alone

Maan: I can’t

Geet: I want to be alone

Maan: joot

Geet: nahi, mujhe akhela chod do

Maan: aaise haalat mein tumme akhela kaise chod sakta?

Geet: mein teek hoon

Maan lifts her face… it was swollen… she had been crying…

Maan: mujhe dekhke bathao Geet, kya tum teek ho?

Geet looked into his eyes… he too was upset…

But why?

Geet looked deep to find the reason… but she can’t figure out why….

Maan suddenly pulls her into a hug… he holds her tight and comforts her….

Maan: tumne socha bhi kaise ki tum akhele ho? Hum sab haina?

Geet weeps under his arms….

Geet: par mera koi nahi hai

Maan shuts her mouth with his fingers…

Maan: chup bilkul chup

Geet keeps looking at Maan…

Maan: mein hoon Geet, mein kab se tummara ban chuka hoon aur tumme patha bhi nahi chala?

Geet was happy… she found solace in his arms…

Maan: tum akhele nahi ho Geet, jab tak mein hoon tum akhele kaise ho sakti?

Geet: aap mera kya lagthe ho?

Maan: kuch bhi, jo tum chaho, jab tumme ek dhost ki zaroorat hogi toh mein kada hoonga tummare saath ek dhost banke

Geet: Annie haina, she is my best friend

Maan: woh kal shadhi karke chale jayegi toh tumme bhool jayegi

Geet: nahi

Maan: ye sach hai Geet , par mein shadhi ke baad bhi aaisa hi tummare saath kada rahoonga

Geet: kaise?

Maan: jaise bhi, jaise tum chaho, agar tum mujhe dhost manthi toh dhost banke kada rahoonga, agar tum mujhe ek saathi maanthi toh ek saathi banke kada rahoonga, aur

Maan looks into her beautiful eyes…

Maan: aur bhi kitne choice hai, bas tum kaho toh mein kab se intezar kar raha hoon Geet

Geet: dhosti hi achcha hai

Maan: aakhir tumne mujhse apne mann ki baat karna shuru kardhi, that’s a good start, then friends it is

Geet smiles in the end… Maan had accomplished his mission…

He had put the smiles back on his Mishty’s face….

He would do anything to keep her happy…
