Chapter 30

PART 30

In the car the two were having a really jolly time. They were able to talk about things that they were never able to share with others. They talked about life, love, family, and friends. They talked about their ambitions and goals.  They talked about little things, what made them laugh, what made them cry. They talked about what they wanted the most in life. Finally, Angad looked at Kripa and said, I am starving. Kripa too chimed in saying lets stop at the nearest place for food. Well they were on a road that was bit secluded. There were no hotels or restaurants. There were only dabas. So they pulled up at one and sat down to eat. Angad obviously wasn't use to this and was a bit disgusted. Kripa on the other hand was excited to eat, it reminded her of home. Before they placed there order, Kripa saw a gol guppa stand. She looked at Angad and said, please lets go eat Gol Guppe. She pleaded like a little kid and finally Angad agreed. He thought to himself, I won't eat but Kripa can.

They crossed the road and asked the guy to make them 2 plates. Angad interjected and said, nahin  that's okay, just make one. Kripa understood that Angad either had never eaten Gol guppe or didn't want to eat at a stall. She got her plate and looked at Angad with her baby eyes and said, if I feed you will you try one. Angad couldn't even say no. He said, fine. All he wanted was to see a smile on Kripa's face and if that meant he had to eat something he didn't want to, so be it. Kripa fed him and he was expecting to hate but he savored it in his mouth and actually like the taste. Kripa was looking at his face for a reaction and he just opened his mouth and brought it closer to her. Kripa kept on feeding him and then Angad took a piece and fed Kripa. They both didn't realize it but they had gone through 5 plates of pani poori. They paid the guy and decided to continue their journey. Well after that nice and heavy meal, Kripa was feeling a bit tired and sleepy. She didn't realize when she fell asleep. Angad just looked at her and smiled. He took his jacked from the back and put it around her. He didn't want her to get cold!

Finally they reached their destination. They both checked into the hotel. The only problem was that in that hotel, they had only one booking. There was some miscommunication with the rooms, but unfortunately because there was a convention in town all the other rooms were booked. So he went back to Kripa and explained the whole situation. She said, are there any other options. He said, with the purest heart no. She said okay, lets just stay here and if they can accommodate us with another room that will be great. He got the keys and they both went up to the room.

The both got up to the room and Angad put his bag on the couch. He then went to go get ready for bed as he was really tired. Kripa too decided to get ready for bed. Kripa was sitting on the couch flipping through a magazine when Angad came out. He looked at her and before he could say anything, Kripa said, you are sleeping on the bed and I will sleep on the couch. You had a long day of driving and you need your beauty rest. Angad was so touched that someone actually cared about him that much that they were thinking of his well-being at all times. Kripa grabbed a pillow and a blanket and set up a really nice and comfortable bed on the couch. She hopped in as Angad did in bed. They both said good night and went to bed.

The next morning Kripa woke up and stretched. She turned to see that Angad wasn't in his bed.
