Chapter 8

Next morning, morning sunshine shines on Angad's face, creating a sort of a rainbow on his skin. From the half open window,a small gust of wind wafts through his hair.
Angad gets up with a start,he shakes his clock and realizes the alarm didn't go off and he's late for college, hurriedly he grabs a towel, faded blue jeans, black shirt and other needed materials and shuts himself up in the bathroom to shower. Getting ready in a record time of fifteen minutes, because of his mom's umpteen protests, he shoves a piece of toast in his mouth, and gulps down a glass of orange juice (urgh I hate orange juice, anyways).
he rushes out to his car...his car..Oh oh
Angad: meri gaadi...oh no mai toh gaadi ke bareme bhool hi gaya, ab mai kya karu, dad bhi office chale gaye aur mom goosa hojayegi...hmmm.
picking up his network box (cellphone) he dials a familiar number and within a few minutes, a red sports car parks in front of him.
he gets in and witnesses the smirk on his best friend's face
Mishti: tumhe to mai ek din sabak seeka ke rahungi, kal tum mujhse mere problem ke bareme baath hi nahi karna chahte aur jab tum problem mai ayye toh jat se mai yaad agayi,
Angad holds his ears: acha baba sorry

getting out of her car:ab chale Mushy
Mishti hits with her books: tum na...urgh!

In the canteen
Mishti huddles secretively with Angad.: bathanahi mai kya karu, mom toh bas mere peeche hi padgayi hai tumhari aur meri shaadi ko leke
Angad's eyes pop open, he waves his hands in front of his chest signaling to indicate himself:mai...par kyu???
Mishti: avey, agar mujhe batha hotha..toh mai tumhe nahi bathathi kya? acha suno
Angad signals for her to stop: mai jaantha hoon...mai jaantha hoon

A creaking noise is heard and they both turn to see Karthik pull out a chair and sit down: kya jaanthe ho??zarra hume bhi enlighten karo
Angad: yehi ki, tum dono ek doosre ko chahte ho, par najane kyu iski mummy hum dono ki yani meri aur Mishti ki shaadi ko leke peeche hi padgayi hai
Mishti inhales sharply: what???meri mummy arre meri mummy ko nahi..Naina aunty ko jaldi hai aur upar se Karthik ke mummy-papa ko kaun samjaaye ki hum dono,,you know
Angad puts his head down: oh no!
Mishti and karthik together: Oh yes
Angad: mujhse ye nahi hoga
