Chapter 5

“Is this Yuvraj same? The one who is with Alekha?,” Ramthought for a while but then he shrugged off the thought thinking, “There are n numbers of Yuvraaj in the world. I am thinking a lot.”

He was comforting himself by not thinking so much when the same time Shalini uttered, “Ram, I think we should meet Priya”

“Jaan! No. I mean I am getting what you are up to. We are‘just friends’,” he tried to clarify his mother as he think she was going tomingle him with Priya.

Shalini rolled her eyes, “Gadhe ka gadha hi rahega tu Ram”, clenching her jawand continued, “I meant to make her feel comfortable as …as there is a friend who can become her support system”

“Oh in that way! But Jaan she isn’t a sympathy material. Shewill not like it.,” he shrugged his shoulder when Shalini snapped her forehead,“Main kab kaha ke hum use sympathize karne ja rahe hain? No girl deserves that,ek friend aur uski ma to ja hi sakte hain na, idiot”

He bit his tongue when he mumbled, “Kya pata use bura to nahi lagega, I mean abhi abhi tragedy hui hai uske sath”

“Bilkul nahi, I am very happy ke mujhe Yuvraaj jaise cheatse shaadi nahi karni padi, accha hai ke shadi se pehle bata diya,” Priya hasshaken from inside but was adamant to not admit it in front of anyone.

Sanjeev tried to make her comfort so she can cry at least,“Sit. I understand it’s really difficult to cry for a independent and open-minded girl like you, but it’s important for a girl to whom her groom, her love of life has cheated at the end moment”

“Nahi papa, jo hua accha hua, usme kahi na kahi meri galati bhi thi. Kehte hai na don’t trust anyone more than yourself, but I did,” shesmiled lame and weak one and ran towards her room and locked herself.

Ritika tried to stop her but Anju didn’t allow, “Let her be alone for a while, it’s for her good. Is bahane thoda role,” and shed tears atwhich Ritika embraced her.

“Kya hum andar aa sakte hain?,” Shalini from the door asked for the permission when Sanjeev replied, “Yes, but sorry I have not met you”

Shalini smiled, “Mil to main aur mera beta bhi aapse pehli baar rahe hain, but yes Ram aur Priya kayi baar mil chuke hain”

Anju wiped her tears, “Priya se?”

“Yes. Actually I am her high school classmate and friend RamKapoor,” Ram introduced himself to the Sood family.

Ritika frowned to think a little, “Ram Kapoor, the famous IndiaEatz owner, with whom di has just met on New Year’s Eve at a square?”

“Yeah! The same Ram Kapoor” he smiled.

Sanjeev welcomed the guests to enter when Ram said, “May I meet Priya?”

Anju tried to answer Ram, “Jee? Actually aaj uski…,” Shalini intervened, “Shadi thi magar toot gayi”

Sanjeev lowered their gaze when Ram comforted them, “Aapko nazar jhukane ki zaroorat nahi hai uncle, it’s neither you’re nor Priya’s fault. It is his loss.”

Anju’s eyes were moist as she came to know that generous people are still there in the world. She chocked, “She has locked herself, robhi nahi rahi hai”, when the same time a loud sound came from Priya’s room.

Everyone was worried. Ram and Ritika immediately ran towards Priya’s room and knocked it a lot but no one opened. Each and every person present there was concerned so Ram immediately opened the door, banging it by force, which finally opened.

“Priya,” the concerned members present there called and look here and there to find her out. A chair was lying down on the floor and Priya was playing with a puppy, “Ole babu! How are you? Yaad aa rahi thi meri?”

Ram sighed deeply, “Have you gone crazy? Why weren’t you opening the door dammit,” he seemed really unhappy with her behavior, in fact he was too angry.

“Don’t you have concern about your family, who are already shaken with that cheat’s behavior and here you’re also making them worried?,”he blasted over her.

Priya closed her eyes tight, “What are you doing here?”

“I am…meri jaan tumhare liye concerned thi tumhe supportkarna chahti thi isilie we are here, par tum to pagla gayi ho, apne ma baap kanahi soch rahi to … meri jaan ka kya sochogi,” he yelled at her in a singlebreath.

She smiled fake and clenched her jaw, “You’re already aware that I am not a sympathy gainer”

“Priya!, “ Sanjeev scolded but Shalini stopped him as she was understanding that something was cooking in her son’s brilliant mind.

Ram immediately came near her, “You know what, you deserve that cheat because tumne abhi tak use nikaala nahi”

She slapped him hard and a tear rolled down from her eyes,“I don’t deserve him, I don’t deserve him. He is a cheat, monster. Do you getit?” She chocked it and kept chanting when the same time the puppy slipped fromher hold and hid under the bed.

Ram embrace her tight gulping the fresh lump of regret to hurt her, “I am sorry. You don’t. You don’t. I know. Everyone knows but you have to remember it first”

The tears kept flowing from her eyes when he cupped her cheeks, pecked her forehead murmuring a sorry and wiped her tears.
